This guy I found through the web has impressed me. He's a Photoshop pro - no doubt - and he likes to try weird stuff too. In this case he didn't actually want to show the world how would Homer, Mario, Stewie or Jessica would appear if they would be human but just try out a new technique and show'em as they would be made through all these digital equipment we've been used to. The term used is "untooned" but Jax doesn't really agree with it. By the way, that's amazing. Ain't it? Very nice job, dude.

Wollten wir nicht alle schon mal wissen (naja, nicht wirklich alle und nicht mal ich selbst), wie Homer Simpson im realen Leben aussehen würde, wenn man ihm auf der Straße (oder in einem Kernkraftwerk) begegnen würde? Auf dem pixeloo-Blog gibt es ein Bild vom "realen" Homer zu sehen. Dazu kann man sich noch die "Realos" anderer Comic-Figuren anschauen (z.B. Super-Mario).

Now here's a refreshing response: An anonymous digital artist turns cartoon characters into ... well ... humans. The slightly disturbing detail is that he sticks to the original cartoon proportions.

Tremendo hit que ha sido este Pixeloo. Con tan sólo 2 descaricaturizaciones, la de Homero y la de Mario, se ha creado una publicidad y un tráfico a su blog, que sólo se podría comparar con el de la abuelita bloguera. Y no es para menos, nomás de ver a los clásicos personajes de la televisión o videojuegos enfundados en piel humana y conservando sus mismas facciones, ya es para hacerle una reverencia a su creatividad y maestría en Photoshop.

Todo mundo conoce a Jessica Rabbit, la pelirroja sexy de la que, para mí, es la mejor película donde se han mezclado humanos y dibujos animados ¿Quién engañó a Roger Rabbit?.

Pero eso no es todo. Lo mejor es que en esta ocasión Pixeloo ha incluido un video del making of, donde muestra que tomó como base para esta descaricaturización a Angelina Jolie y para el cabello usó a Alyson Hannigan. Dura 9 minutos y de hecho no está completo, pero sí te da una noción del proceso y hasta te hace pensar que es muy fácil.
