“Linux per tutti - Ubuntu facile" questo è il nome del progetto che porta avanti,con amore e passione, rivolgendosi per lo più all'utenza ancora alle prime armi nel mondo del pinguino. Le guide testuali e video non sono da perdere, potrebbe essere un modo facile ed inaspettato per passare a "Linux" o, almeno, per provarlo. Impariamo ad utilizzare le enormi risorse gratuite che ci offre il mondo del software libero.
Sono già disponibili molti capitoli dell'opera e continuamente seguono gli altri.

Spesso i manuali non si curano delle persone alle prime armi e queste desistono dall'intraprendere la nuova strada. Questo manuale (ovviamente gratuito), è rivolto agli utenti poco esperti che apprezzeranno l’immediatezza delle cose senza pericolo di perdersi in estenuanti disquisizioni tecnico-specialistiche. Inoltre, i lettori, troveranno tutto quello che occorre a portata di mano (software gratuito, ecc..). Anche gli utenti più esperti e smaliziati, lo apprezzeranno perchè, sicuramente, hanno tanti amici e conoscenti, che “esperti” non sono, cui potranno suggerirne la lettura. Il portale scolastico completamente no-profit, propone anche numerose altre risorse (manuali e video-guide), tutte assplutamente gratuite.

Penso che sarebbe bello se ognuno, secondo le proprie possibilità, desse una mano alla divulgazione di quest'opera, onde contribuire alla diffusione del software libero. Ubuntu è una tra le tante belle distribuzioni GNU/Linux, che, essendo, pure, intuitiva è molto indicata per i principianti. Poi, una volta entrati in questo nuovo mondo, ognuno potrà provare le tante ottime distribuzioni esistenti e sceglie quella che riterrà più vicina alle proprie esigenze ed ai propri gusti.

Oltre a tutto ciò è stata stilata una lista con 27 validi motivi per innamorarsene e capirne i pregi.
La grafica molto curata, la semplicità ed immediatezza della scrittura la rendono avvincente e scorrevole alla lettura.
Non si tratta di una guida per l’utilizzazione di Linux, ma vengono esposti i motivi per i quali sarebbe opportuno passare al mondo del software libero. Vengono presi in considerazione anche i casi in cui, per il momento, bisognerebbe aspettare prima di abbandonare definitivamente Windows. Interessanti e da vedere, i cinque filmati proposti, di cui, alcuni, veramente singolari.

La “guida” non è altro che un piccolo sotto-sito di appena 36 pagine, realizzato all’interno di un, ben più esteso, portale scolastico no-profit, contenente numerose risorse (manuali e video-guide), tutte gratuite.
Per valutare ed apprezzare Linux bisogna conoscerne le caratteristiche essenziali. Il lettore, grazie alla completezza dei contenuti della “guida”, a fine lettura, sarà in grado di capire se è amore a prima vista. Anche se siete dei Linuxiani incalliti, sicuramente avrete tanti amici cui proporne la lettura.
Penso che sarebbe bello se ognuno, secondo le proprie possibilità, desse una mano alla divulgazione di questa “guida”, onde contribuire alla diffusione del software libero.

Andiamo su My Dashboard e clicchiamo su Turbo. Dovrebbe comparire la finestra "Gears Status". Clicchiamo su "Enable Gears". Google Gears ci chiederà se è un sito affidabile e gli possiamo far usare Gears. Mettiamo il segno di spunta su  "I trust this site. Allow it to use Google Gears" e clicchiamo su Allow. Adesso aspettiamo che i file di WordPress vengano aggiornati. Dopo l'aggiornamento cliccate su Close.

Et voilà! Wordpress, combinato con Gears è molto più veloce.

Aggiornamento: Google Gears per Safari è coming soon, invece(per ora) non ci sono progetti per Opera. Ci vediamo!

Per prima cosa rechiamoci sul sito di Google Gears.

Linux: Una qualsiasi versione di Linux a 32-bit(quelle a 64 non vanno bene) e FireFox 1.5+

Installazione:

Windows: clicchiamo su Install Gears, scarichiamo il .exe e installiamolo

Windows Mobile: leggete qui: http://code.google.com/apis/gears/mobile.html

Mac Os X:  clicchiamo su Install Gears, Firefox ci chiedera di installare un componente aggiuntivo. Aspettiamo 3 secondi e clicchiamo su Installa

Linux: uguale identico a Mac, però il file xpi è diverso.

Aesso devo riavviare Firefox, ci vediamo nella seconda guida, quella alla cofigurazione e all'uso ;)

Vamos explicar em detalhes e em apenas 5 passos, como fazer um gráfico. Estas dicas servem para a maioria dos modelos disponíveis e, tanto no Excel quanto no Power Point, os passos são os mesmos.

IMPORTANTE:

Para criação de qualquer gráfico, você precisa ter uma origem de dados. Por isso, primeiro você deve criar uma tabela com as informações. Será a partir desta tabela que os dados serão incluídos no gráfico.

Recomendamos a criação de gráficos no Excel e posterior inserção nos slides de Power Point. (em breve detalharemos este processo) 

Então mãos a obra.

Vamos usar esta tabela de dados em nosso exemplo:

CONSTRUÇÃO DO GRÁFICO

1° passo – Escolha do modelo

Você deve escolher o modelo mais adequado as informações que você quer demonstrar. (em breve detalharemos este processo)

2° Passo – Insira o Gráfico

Clique em inserir Gráficos, localizado no Office Fluent, Menu Inserir.

Você clicará na opção de gráfico que escolheu e selecionará o modelo.

Em nosso exemplo utilizaremos o modelo de COLUNAS, mas os passos seguintes podem ser usados em outros modelos como PIZZA ou BARRAS, por exemplo.

Aparecerá uma tela como esta que está abaixo. Um retângulo ainda vazio e sem vida.

3° Passo – Insira os valores.

Clique com o botão direito do mouse sobre o retângulo e escolha a opção SELECIONAR DADOS....

Aparecerá a seguinte tela.

Clique em adicionar.

4° Passo - Selecione os valores das colunas.

Após clicar em ADICIONAR, aparecerá a tela abaixo.

NOME DA SÉRIE – é o titulo da coluna que contem os dados. Em nosso exemplo será QUANTIDADE (célula C5).

VALORES DA SÉRIE – são os valores que formarão as barras do gráfico. Em nosso exemplo serão as quantidades de cada produto (célula C6 até célula C9).

Clique em OK.

Nesta etapa a tela de seleção de dados, deverá estar como esta abaixo. Agora faltam apenas os títulos da colunas.

5° Passo – Selecione os Títulos das colunas

Clique em EDITAR. No lado direito da tela de seleção de dados.

Selecione os dados da primeira coluna da tabela de dados, com os nomes dos produtos.

Clique em OK.

Nesta etapa a tela de seleção de dados, deverá estar como esta abaixo.

Esta é a última etapa para criação do gráfico.

Clique em OK.

O gráfico deverá ter esta aparência.

Pronto.

Clicando com o botão direito sobre as barras você pode:

• Alterar as cores de todas elas ou de cada uma.
• Incluir legendas com os valores;
• Formatar em 3D.

If you knew my craft studio, you'd laugh.  It's in a corner in the unfinished basement.  We moved a year & a half ago & many things are still in boxes because we are clutter people.  I like to think that I am way better at getting rid of stuff than DH, but I have oodles of stuff I need to go through & purge.  I have given much away as Liam gets "older", yes at 2 1/2, but it's not all kids stuff, it's old books from university & "memories" & well just stuff.  We need to go through it, but that would take more than a weekend, so it just doesn't get done.  With that in mind I wanted to cheer up my little studio.  So here's my little paper lantern.

I'll may rustle up the courage to show you my craft studio "forever a work in progress" another time.  

Okay, so with that in mind, here goes.  You probably made one of these in grade school, like I did, but the papers just weren't as fun.  I'm using Martha Stewart's PP, two 12" double sided ones.  Cut that into 1 inch strips, so you end up with 24 ONE inch strips.  

Then just punch a hole at either end of the strips.  The crop-a-dile, you can do all of them at once:

I guess next time I'll come up with a 'working title'; a tentative title just like what films have during production. Because I felt like an idiot not knowing the title of my own book. But eventually I knew. And I graduated to the next part of the conversation, which sometimes they'll just skip straight to:

C. "So, what's it about?"

In our personal quests to conquer the novel, the questions only get harder from there. But unlike the casual masses, us writers are genuinely interested in what we are writing (hopefully!) and we want all the expositional details and tidbits that will help us dig into the meat and bones of our stories.

There comes a day when we know we're ready to answer those tough questions. That's when we're done composting/free writing and ready to create scenes!

Sin embargo, esto es importante para todos aquellos que usan mis tutoriales para sus proyectos, pues la verdad los beneficia; de ahora en adelante cualquier manual, tutorial o similar que haga lo haré en Scribus...

Scribus es un excelente software de edición de texto, que se usa para hacer revistas, publicaciones y similares; y es el que usaré para hacer mis manuales...

Muchos habrán conocido mis "Lineales" trabajos en Word, y luego conocieron mis buenas guias en "Publisher", sin embargo, aunque los trabajs en Publisher les agradaban a todos ustedes (Los leian cuando los subia a PDF), a mi me daba muchos dolores de cabeza...

Usaré Scribus porque es mas facil de manejar para lo que usualmente hago en mis manuales, mucho ma fácil y mas adecuado que en Publisher, además es libre (Y gratuito) y tiene todas las herramientas que puedo disponer...

Scribus me facilita mucho editar mis guías para actualizarlas, además el resultado es mejor, mas rápido, mas agradable y muy útil...

Es cierto, ojala Scribus fuera mejor (Corrigiera ciertos errores, e introdujera algunas herramientas), pero por ahora está bien...

This HOW TO is for those who want to run the newest version of Blender In Ubuntu.

System > Administration > Software Sources > Password > Third Party Software > Add >

Copy the command below and paste the command (Ctrl V) into the Add form.

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/wgrant/ubuntu hardy main

Click Add Source.

Click the Add button again.

Copy the command below and paste the command (Ctrl V) into the Add form.

deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/wgrant/ubuntu hardy main

Click Add Source.

Click Close > Reload

Next Applications > Add/Remove... >Show: Installed Applications > Search Blender >

(You may need to uninstall Blender and then reinstall)

Enable (install) Blender by putting a check in the Check Box and then click Apply Changes.

You may get a warning that the Software Can Not Be Authenticated.

If you wish to install click Apply.

Pues bien como muchos sabréis quienes usáis el programa de mantenimiento Onyx esto se puede activar desde una opción del mismo.

Yo os voy a explicar otra manera de hacerlo sin tener que utilizar ningún programa que no sea la terminal que viene con nuestro OSX.

Simplemente tenéis que copiar, pegar y ejecutar (de uno en uno) estos dos comandos puestos en negrita:

Primero: defaults write com.apple.Dock showhidden -bool yes pulsamos enter y vamos al siguiente.

Segundo: killall Dock y presionamos enter, este reiniciará nuestro Dock para que se active la transparencia y ya está. ¿a que ha sido fácil?

Pues bien si queréis regresar a como lo teníais al principio simplemente debéis seguir los pasos anteriores cambiando una palabra de la primera instrucción quedando así:

defaults write com.apple.Dock showhidden -bool no seguidamente killall Dock y listo.

These are all social bookmarking sites. Have you ever come across a website or an article that you really enjoyed, and wanted to share it with a friend? If you're like many people, you probably copy and paste the website address into an email and shoot it out to the friends who you think might enjoy the article. This works just fine if you have a small group of friends to share that link with. What happens if you wanted to share that article with more than just that small group of friends? That's where social bookmarking comes in.

I, personally, have an account with del.icio.us and use it almost daily when I come across interesting websites. Whenever I come across something I enjoy, I bookmark it using del.icio.us. When I bookmark the link, I can leave a comment about it and I can "tag" it with words that help identify what the article or page is about. For example, if I bookmarked this page in del.icio.us, I might put a comment in that says "This post is amazingly helpful this and everyone should read it if they want to understand social bookmarking". I'd then "tag" it with words like "SocialMedia" "SocialBookmarking" "tutorial", etc.

The descriptions and tags help out other users of del.icio.us when they search for links that other users have posted. I can go into del.icio.us and search for "SocialBookmarking tutorial" and this post will come up! That is the magic of social bookmarking. It takes that email you would have sent to maybe 5 or 10 people and puts that link out to anyone looking for it.

Think of social bookmarks as your globally-available bookmarks folder. Right now, you'll save websites you like to the bookmarks folder within your internet browser. Well, social bookmarking can put those up for the world to see. If you'd rather not have everyone see which websites you're bookmarking, you can keep your bookmarks private. But storing them at del.icio.us or some other social bookmarking website makes those links available to you no matter where you are. If you can get to the internet, you can get to your bookmarks. You won't have to worry about the website that you bookmarked at work and just can't remember once you get home, just log into your social bookmarking site, search for the bookmark you're looking for and it's there for you.

Ok, so you know what social bookmarking is and how it's helpful, but what if someone wants to "socially bookmark" your site? Many social bookmarking websites have "plug-ins" for your internet browser that allow you to click a button and bookmark any page, but the best thing you can do is add social bookmarking functionality to your own website. This will ensure that anyone can bookmark your site, you don't have to just hope they have a social bookmarking "plug-in" installed in their browser.

The most popular (and easy) way to set up your website to be socially bookmarked is by setting up an account at AddThis.com. You've probably seen thier link at the bottom of some websites you've visited:

AddThis.com is the #1 bookmarking and sharing button and it's really easy to set up an account. Simply add some code to the end of each page and people can begin bookmarking your website with ease. AddThis.com even offers tracking. You can see how many people on a given day have bookmarked your site.

Social bookmarking is a great way to get started in the world of social media, and is a great compliment to FeedBurner (which I talked about in my RSS post)
