Skateboarding always makes me nervous. Maybe I've seen too many guys eat cement, or maybe the thought of rushing to the ER makes me cringe. Either way, I can't deny that it's cool. The stuff those guys (and gals) can do is phenominal. As long as they're the ones doing it and not me, I guess I'm into it.

The other day I had the privelege to photograph one of these daredevils. Meet Chandler. He's 13 and fearless. Once I got over my mother bear "don't kill yourself" mentality, I had a ton of fun grabbing shots of him in mid air.

This is one of my favorites. I've completely over exposed the shot, while bumping up the blacks. I then pushed the saturation up some, giving it that comic book effect.

This is part of a move where Chan was in a handstand then jumped down onto his board.

Got to have one for the ladies!

Something great about this park is that its perfectly situated to get amazing sunsets (I would like to mention the fact that I did not use color correction in any ways to have such amazing sunsets ... straight out the camera !). Everyone have a look at this site, very well put together.. although its in French its very pleasing to the eye, cool sounds to accompany it also. Sebastien Abes does a lot, if not all their recent video work, all in HD, and is also a very big influence of mine.

This year the worlds top pro's are back at the only pro Red Bull Manny Mania event in 2008. Happening on August 17 at Coleman Skate Park, you know Drakrub Apparel will be there.

Koston is ridiculous! You can almost feel that he can't believe he hasn't done the trick yet. As absolutely insane of a trick it is, he knows he's got that shhh. I'd bet all the money I have that he not only stomped that trick, but that he did it as buttery as it could be done. You notice how he just decides to try it heel flip out randomly and almost gets it?
