Ways to spend July Fourth: Go to the Esplanade in Boston to watch the Pops concert and subsequent fireworks. Or debate the actions of our presidential candidates, Democratic Sen. Barack Obama and Republican Sen. John McCain. Why not do both? That’s what Bob and Susannah, plus a neutral cat, do on their Independence Day in the latest episode of “Running Gags”!

Gas prices are going up, folks, and two presidential candidates, Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican John McCain, have proposed a solution: a gas-tax holiday. Sen. Barack Obama, Democratic presidential candidate, has lost the Pennsylvania primary to his rival, Sen. Hillary Clinton, after Obama called certain red-state voters "bitter" to a San Francisco audience. What can Obama do to mend relations with this demographic group? As he explains to Susannah, Bob has some ideas -- which include visiting a certain blue-state nemesis -- in the latest episode of "Running Gags"!

Forty years after the civil rights leader's death, how much have we progressed in race relations and civil rights as a nation?

I know you don't like it went I try to talk about the deep stuff, but I suppose I have to do this from time to time.

Firstly, since I haven't told you directly yet, I am thankful to God for my results in IB. I was thankful from the moment I saw them, because they were a perfect example of a running joke that seems to me going on between us ( by which I mean, God and me). It seems that no matter what I ask for, He always gives me a bit less. I can pray for weeks, but I won't get that picture perfect prize that I want. At the same time, even when I don't pray that much at all, He gives me what I need. I suppose what God is trying to teach me here is to trust Him.

This is something that it is hard for me to accept, but I suppose I have too. Heh. I wish I could be a better Christian and tell you that I'm completely fine with everything that happens...but I'm not. Well let me rephrase that.

Long-Term Luke is fine. Long-Term Luke knows that short-term uncertainties aren't important. Unfortunately, Short-Term Luke isn't as lucky. Short-term uncertainties are big things for Short-Term Luke. BIG THINGS!
