This is one of my favourite songs. I never fell sick listening to it. AND AND Robbie Williams is the singer. One of my favourite singers since my primary school days.

1996. Kim Thayil (Soundgarden) is arrested in the early hours of the morning following allegations that he assaulted a fan at his hotel in Charlotte-Mecklenburg, North Carolina. Soundgarden had returned to the hotel after playing the Lollapalooza at around 1am. Thayil went to his room and discovered it had been broken into. On going downstairs to discuss the matter with the hotel's manager, he was harassed by drunk party-goers attending a wedding reception. He grabbed the disposable camera of one guest and threw it away. The guests then charged at him. In his flight, he is thought to have hit one of the group in the face. He is charged with assault on a girl and damage to property and released on $ 2,500 bail.

1997. Robbie Williams is in the High Court in London, defending a lawsuit brought by his former manager Nigel Martin-Smith. The ex-manager is seeking £ 1 million which includes £ 78,000 in unpaid commission on royalties and advances and a percentage of the singer's earnings until 2006.

1996. Rob Collins (The Charlatans) crashes his BMW on the journey from a local pub to Rockfield Studios in Monmouth, Wales where the band are recording their fifth album. He is resuscitated by a nurse at the crash site but dies in the ambulance on his way to hospital. A sound engineer travelling with him escapes serious injury but is in shock.

Admittedly, I didn't have much time to put it together - just a quick whizz through each track on the digitally-protected "copy this and die" press only download - but I was decidedly underwhelmed.

Now, I like Robbie Williams. I may describe him as a "poor man's Jonathan Wilkes" but I actually do have a lot of time for him. How could I not when he is a local boy? Partly as a legacy from my days at the paper, I have all his albums, a DVD and five biographies (surely at least four more than anyone needs - the best, if you're interested, is definitely this one by Sean Smith) and I'm always interested to see what he's up to.

But Rudebox? I wasn't alone in panning it - it's not his usual fare, and, after all, I count Intensive Care among my top ten albums. You can't compare the two. But Robbie, I owe you an apology. Thanks to the wonder of the Shuffle Songs feature on my iPod I have discovered the joys of Rudebox.

Driving along the country roads this morning the song The 90s came over my car speakers - I almost went to skip it, but in the end I loved it. It's so sad - it's almost like poetry, if you excuse the bad language. It sounds like it comes from the heart.

So on the way home I listened to the album and, while it is a bit patchy in parts, it's really not that bad. Songs like The Actor and Louise are actually spine-tinglingly good. I'm still not convinced about the suitability of the Stoke accent for rapping, but hey, rather that than faux-American mid-Atlantic drawl that does no one any favours.

If you, like I did, have a copy of Rudebox hidden away, unloved and gathering dust, let me suggest you give it one more try. Go on. And then, please join me in eating my words. I can't unwrite my bad review - and I doubt anyone remembers it but me! - but I wanted to publicly say "sorry, Robbie, I got it wrong - no hard feelings, duck".

It's the show that everyone has been waiting to see, Robbie back with the boys of Take That.

The show starts with Gobbie Williams, the world's greatest Robbie tribute, posing and strutting in a way that only he can.  The second half of the show then proceeds with top Take That tribute, Like That (unlike other "Take That" tributes, this is a proper Manband, with each member aged between 30-35).  Singing songs from Pray to Patience, with exciting and dynamic dance routines that will give off enough energy to light London.

Then comes the encore of encores, Robbie back together with Take That for one more time.  You might even see Robbie & Gary kiss and make up before your own very eyes!!!

Despite recently announcing that he is a Hartlepool supporter (what that all about?!?!?!?), Meatloaf's career is one of legends.  The Meatloaf story is accurately potrayed by Dave Black, with his fantastic tribute to Meatloaf.  Dave is a dead ringer for Meat with the 70s look that everyone knows from the very first Bat out of hell album and has the voice to match the big fella too.  From the earliest days right up to the present tour you can be assured of an evenings worth of first class enetertainment.  This show is currently available as solo show or as a duo with female singer.

LIKE THAT & MANBAND

Its taken over six months to cast this band but we’ve finally done it, 4 multi talented guys (not boys, REAL MEN) who can sing, dance and charm the birds from the trees!!!

We have created two different shows for Michael, Keith, Steve and Mike.  The first show is Like That.  Now this is a Take That tribute band that actually mirrors Take That.  The four guys are all around there early thirties, they sing all there own lead vocals and harmonies, they bust all the dance move that you would expect Take That to do and they dress up and look like the real thing too.  You can even book Robbie for the Reunion show (as mentioned above)

The second show we have created for the fellas is Manband.  This show pays tribute to all your 90s boyband favourites such as Boyzone, 911, 5ive, Backstreet Boys, Blue & many more.

You can of course combine the two shows together and have one set of Take That and one set from Manband for no extra cost.

The Rat Pack have never gone out of fashion and with singers like Russell Watson and Michael Buble recording more of the Rat Pack back catologue there has never been a better time to book this show.
