It seems every source I go to is quite confused on what is up and down with Sony's "Exclusive" Announcements. As you may have read earlier PlayStation Lifestyle announced Hardware 2 and now they are announcing a major new PS3 Exclusive on August 3rd.

The DC Comics universe has gotten its first villain put in the upcoming game Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe... about damn time. I'm sick of seeing screens of Superman and Batman for the game. We get it, they're in the game.

According to Siliconera.com, The Joker will also be a playable character. I am very interested to see what his fatalities, and just moves in general will be. Hopefully they will be becoming of a homicidal clown.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Doomsday and Sinestro will be added eventually too.

Se especula que, como los villanos de este juego de peleas podrán realizar fatalities, el Guasón también tendrá un movimiento mortal, aunque esto es sólo un rumor por ahora.

Recordamos que Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe saldrá a la venta el 3 de noviembre de este año para Xbox 360 y PlayStation 3.

In a review by Play Magazine, Play revealed that Darth Vader and Secret Apprentice are in Soul Calibur 4. They have also have confirmed that the rumors about Kratos being in the game being false. Play is also saying that Soul Calibur 4 looks better on the PS3 than it does the 360.

The animation has always been superb, but now the detail and solidity of the character models match it. Mitsurugi’s scars, Vader’s shiny armour, Taki’s… assets, they’ve all been crafted with such care and attention, each pixel has been given some sort of flair or purpose. On a decent 720p TV Soul Calibur IV is one of the best looking games on the PS3, and for once better looking than the 360 version, and is the ideal thing to put on when a mate pops round.

If you’ve had a favourite character in the past, then the alterations will be pretty easy to notice. It’s more of an overhaul than Soul Calibur III was over its predecessor, and it does genuinely feel new and fresh. And the stunning visuals don’t hurt either. Soul Calibur IV is absolutely gorgeous.

Pues estos tios resultaron mas listos y todo indica que estaran disponibles en forma de contenido descargable (claro con una plata de por medio) la imagen es de gran calidad, y todo indica que via Xbox Live podras hacerte de Vader y via PSN de Yoda, demonios estos cuates si que saben hacernos sufrir.

The online part will be very important and they are going to make sure that Clan support is included. You can have a clan emblem, create your own tournaments, and build up your reputation. The reputation is something special, some games encourage that you destroy buildings and kill innocent people, well Hardware 2 is different, you should avoid it… You will need to take the decision if your shot will be accurate enough or else you will kill 50 people, that’s what military is all about. The more ‘clean’ you play, the better your reputation will become.

This sounds like a game that I definitely will want to pick up. Release date anyone?

Hier soir avant d'aller me coucher (plutôt ce matin il étais commeme 6h :-) ) j'ai mis à télécharger la démo jouable d'echocrome. J'ai beaucoup entendu parler de ce jeu et surtout sur le ps store, le jeu n'est ni plus ni moin qu'un casse tête en 3D.

Je me suis bien éclater sur la démo même si je n'est pas reussi à finir le 3eme niveaux, je ne vais pas en rester la biensure :-) et pourquoi pas me le prendre sur psp par la suite.

Si os estáis preguntando qué narices es Watchmen os merecéis que os ejecuten por el método más cruel que exista. Tres veces seguidas incluyendo vuestras reencarnaciones. Pero hoy me habéis pillado de buen humor y hasta me molestaré en explicaros de qué va. Watchmen es, posiblemente, la mejor novela gráfica de la historia. Así de claro. El cómic cuenta la historia de los Watchmen (Vigilantes, en inglés), nombre con que se conoce a dos generaciones de héroes (ya que sólo uno de ellos tiene superpoderes), de capa caída después de que unos disturbios provocados por la inmunidad judicial de estos (donde se deja la perla "Who watches the Watchmen?"). Los Watchmen (la historia se centra en los modernos, aunque no dejan para nada de lado a los antiguos) tienen que hacer frente a problemas bastante mundanos, muchas veces de tipo ético y moral, a los que el asesinato de uno de ellos (primera página del cómic, no spoileo nada) les trastoca las vidas, haciendo que se reúnan de nuevo para desentrañar un misterio que les llevará a concer información que hubieran preferido que se mantuviera en la sombra...

La noticia es que, con el motivo del estreno de la película, el año que viene (según la web será el 6 de marzo), se lanzará el videojuego oficial de la película... que no se sacará en formato físico, sino en descarga digital (para que nos entendamos, tipo Steam) para Playstation 3, Xbox 360 y Pc. De la película se sabe que estará dirigida por  Zack Snyder (300, Amanecer de los Muertos) y que, aunque el tráiler tiene muy buena pinta, todos los que nos hemos leído Watchmen sabemos que daría para al menos unas 7 horas de película. Y que en 2 horas apenas dará para profundizar en la compleja personalidad de personajes como Dr. Manhattan.

Del videojuego, como ya hemos dicho, sabemos que llegará por capítulos. Al parecer, el primero saldría simultáneamente con el estreno en cines y el segundo con el DVD. Y si vende bien, seguirán sacando capítulos. Los desarrolladores, Deadline Games, dicen que es para mejorar la calidad del producto (no tendrán que darse prisa para sacar el juego completo el dia del estreno). A mí me suena a excusa para sacarnos las perras. Esperemos que no se convierta en un otra adaptación de película/cómic fallida.

How are you enjoying the blog so far? Hopefully with the past three posts I've established the thematic variety I am aiming for: a complete, yet personal take on the A&E's (arts and entertainment). For my part, I'm enjoying this a lot. : )

Well, today I'm back with more of that 'PixelJunk' goodness I wrote about a few days back. 'Eden' is the name of this title, and yesterday a demo version of the final release hit the 'PlayStation Network' Store. I'm not exaggerating when I say that the first thing that came out of my mouth when I laid eyes on it, literally, was "It is moving art!". Honestly, this thing looks so incredible on my 32", 720p LCD, that I can't imagine how perfect it should look on a bigger set with a higher resolution (oh, the game displays at 1080p also, in case you were wondering). Not only the visual aesthetics of the piece impress, but also the music! It has over one hundred minutes of original electronic music, with moody, relaxing beats that transport you to that "eden".

It's just perfect. The controls take a few minutes to *get*, but once you do, you're sucked into this ethereal world of beautiful, transforming foliage and pastel colors, jumping and swinging around vines to catch "spectra" to "restore" your garden while tapping your feet rhythmically to the awesome aural compositions. If you own a PlayStation 3, you may want to try out the demo and experience this for yourself. It's refreshing and beautiful to look at, but most importantly, a blast to play. The full game releases next Thursday on the 'PlayStation Network' Store for a price of $9.99 and featuring Trophy support, for all of you "achievement whores" (like myself, heh).

This would be amazing if it were true.  Apparently, set to activate 6 months after the game release or December 12th, the actual final ending of Metal Gear Solid 4 will play. Don't know if this carries any weight or not, but honestly, quite excited nonetheless.
