「ネットワークに接続しているUPnPデバイスのアイコンを表示する」をクリックすると、「SMAsetup.msiがないから場所を教えろ！」と怒られて先に進めません。

で、某巨大掲示板のアーカイブより以下の情報を発見。

T60(1954-G4J)でトラブル遭遇・自己解決したので情報提供
IIS のインストールの最中に、なぜか System Migration Assistant の
インストーラ(SMASetup.msi)を要求され、意味不明なのでキャンセルしたが
同じ画面がまた出てきて堂々巡りになってしまった。
で
C:\SWTOOLS\Apps\SMA\SMAsetup.exe
を実行し確認画面で止めて
C:\Documents and Settings\(ユーザ名)\Local Settings\Temp\(任意のフォルダ名)
に出来た SMASetup.msi をコピーした。
それを指定してやると、無事IISのセットアップは終了した。
その後、気持ち悪いのでSMAは削除した。

上記の通り操作すると、SMAsetup.msiができるのですが、正規品じゃないからだめ！とか怒られるので、仕方なく、SMAsetup.exeを最後まで実行。そしたらうまくいくようになりました。

それと、ThinkPad X60にプリインされているSymantec Client Firewallのファイアウォールをオフにしないといけないみたいです。きちんと設定すればうまくいんでしょうけど面倒だったので切っちゃいました。

X61といいX60といい、ThinkPad使うの、なんだか嫌になってきました・・・。

Meskipun game lama, tapi baru install tadi pagi. Recomended buat para maniak horror terutama horror Jepang.

Kalo boleh flashback dikit. Waktu itu pertama main Silent Hill 1 sekitar 10 taun yang lalu, dan game ini adalah horror stuff pertama yang bikin saya ga' berani tidur sendirian. Makanya berkesan banget, dan yang bikin lebih berkesan adalah waktu itu main rame-rame sama tetangga di rumah saya, dan setelah mereka nonton saya main, mau ke toilet rumah saya aja ga' ada yang berani sendiri. gyahahahaha... ketawa, padahal sendirinya juga ga' berani tidur sendiri.

Untuk mainin di PC, nih minimum requirementnya:

Kesan Awal

Setelah install dan main sebentar, kesan saya terhadap game ini adalah "Beautifull Graphic", ada efek kayak jadul, suram, rada dibuat ada bintik-bintik, ada sedikit distorsi, pokoknya horror jepang banget. Pertama main dimulai dengan ruangan yang sangat horror dan penuh darah, bisa membuat orang yang penakut berpikir 2x untuk melanjutkan mainin game ini. xi xi xi xi... Tapi bagi yang suka sensasi game semacam ini pasti tau lah nikmatnya. :mrgreen:

Pertama gw kira virus, terus gw googling seharian kaga dapet (gw ada antivirus nod32).
Terus gw pikir VGA nya mungkin rusak soalnya terlalu sering dipake online.
Eh belakangan gw kebetulan lagi baca-baca tentang cara bersihin komputer, ternyata debu itu bisa bikin Kompi kita jadi lag loh!
Dia nempel-nempel di komponen dalem CPU kita, bukan masalah bakteri dan kotornya, tapi karena banyak debu, otomatis suhu cpu jadi makin panas sehingga kinerjanya menurun drastis.

Alhasil dengan inisiatif dan sok belagak hebat, gw puter baut cpu pake tangan (baut di cpu pada umumnya tinggal diputer pake tangan uda bisa kebuka). Hati-hati pada beberapa CPU ada kipas di casingnya, jadi pas lepasin jangan main cabut, tar kabelnya putus ^^!

PS* Jangan lupa matiin arus listrik dulu, terus abis mati u pencet-pencet tombol powernya, buat ilangin listrik statisnya <- thanks to kirra-kun yang uda kasitau gw abis gw uda selesai bersiin.

Nah setelah gw buka, gw shock dengan banyaknya onggokan debu yang uda menyerupai sarang Broodmother. Pelan2 pake kuas gw sapu keluar debunya2, terus pake penyedot debu gw sedot bagian bawah cpunya..

Dengan kebodohan gw, gw bersiin kipas motherboard(mobo) yang alhasil membuat debu bertaburan diatas vga gw.. Setelah beberapa menit gw baru sadar harusnya tadi gw tatakin kertas dulu.
Tapi kata temen gw sih gak masalah vganya kena debu.
Proses sapu menyapu debu terus gw lanjutkan sampe akhirnya bersih dari debu.

Gw colok lagi semua kabel2 ke cpu, dan gw coba nyalain cpunya.

CPU GW GA MAU KERJA!

Lampu led nya nyala, kipas nyala, tapi dia ga ada respon, bunyi BIP dari BIOSnya juga ga bunyi!
Gw shock, dalam otak gw gw berpikir.. berarti kalo ada apa-apa ini salah gw! Pada saat itu juga gw bertekad itu terakhir kalinya gw bersiin debu!

Komp gw ga bisa nyala, gw uda telp kemana-mana buat nanya tentang service komputer.
Sedikit out of topic nih, dalam pencarian gw, gw telp seorang teknisi yang ternyata dia berdomisili di Jakarta Timur (gw barat), dia bilang dia hari itu engga sempet dan memang jaraknya cukup jauh. Tapi selang beberapa menit abis gw telp, dia kirim sms, dia kasi gw solusi dan saran. Kata dia emang kalo abis bersiin debu suka gitu, biasanya ada yang kendor.. coba colok cabut aja VGA ama RAMnya.

Lalu gw buka lagi box cpunya, gw colok cabut ramnya, tapi kalo VGA gw ga berani, gw ga ngerti cara cabutnya. Alhasil gw uda pasrah soalnya abis RAMnya gw cabut colok tetep ga nyala, Eh bokap gw yang notabene ga ngerti PC, cobain kenceng2in komponen cpunya. Terus pas di tes, Viola! ada bunyi "BIP" (Tanda BIOS berjalan dengan normal).

Habis itu gw main Warcraft udah tanpa lag.. ^o^

It's perfect, X1 22" I can work, email etc and my 2nd 22" has the news and programs.

1. Steve Jablonsky, composer on films like Transformers and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, was working on the soundtrack for Gears of War 2.

2. Gears of War 2 would feature "linked Achievements." In short, goals reached in the original Gears of War will carry over to the sequel, giving the player bonuses. Cliff listed three examples of how linked Achievements will work.

Nonostante la notizia venisse da una fonte più che certa come NVIDIA, Square Enix ha smentito l’arrivo di Final Fantasy XIII su piattaforma PC.

Lo sviluppatore ha specificato che il PC è utilizzato solo per lo sviluppo del gioco, e una sua versione non è attualmente prevista nei piani dell’azienda.

Final Fantasy XIII dunque, ufficialmente arriverà entro il 2009 solo su PlayStation 3 e Xbox 360. Ma se volete sapere il nostro parere, lo vedremo anche su PC, eccome se lo vedremo.

Hace un par de días corrió el rumor de que Grand Theft Auto IV había sido confirmado para PC, al aparecer el anuncio en la portada de la PC Magazine Malaysia.

Pues resulta que fue un error, según confirmó el mismo editor de la revista, mientras que Rockstar aseguró que todavía no se ha anunciado una versión para computadoras.

Lástima, aunque seguramente el anuncio no tardará mucho, pues este juego ha vendido mucho en las consolas y seguramente miles de jugadores están esperando que salga para PC para comprarlo.

From what I can tell, the game looks to be graphically pretty, but as far as how the game actually is and how it plays I am yet to know. I guess I will be going here and finding out myself. If anyone wants to join me, comment below and let's play!!

However, so far PC games still manage to interest me, particularly Warcraft 3 with the Frozen Throne expansion. The replayability of the game is infinite. The ability to design and play custom maps is the most valuable feature I've ever seen in a game. It gives the game a DVD player feeling...you can never get fed up of it as long as new DVDs (maps) come out. Its gotten to the point that some people know about a particular custom map more than the client, WC3, itself.

That custom map is Defense of the Ancients (DotA), and its taking the world of gaming by storm. DotA is played at countless worldwide gaming tournaments, including Blizzard's BlizzCon, a DJ guy from Sweden made a song about it (almost 5 million views), approximately 50,000 people play it everyday on the Garena Gaming client, its popular at LAN parties and its by far the most widely supported, most popular game mod of all time. I play DotA on Garena, mostly the Caribbean, US, Canadian or Australian rooms. I learnt a lot since my first time playing online :

1) Computer AI even on the Insane setting can never compare to Human players. They aren't necessarily harder than AI, but they mostly use cheaper methods to win.

2) Online gaming sucks because of people who leave in the middle of a game.

3) If you're playing DotA online, 99% of the time its AP (All Pick) mode.

4) Most DotA players are rude, nerdy, cool-in-their-own-world, assholes.

Number 4 is the most annoying. Many of a time I'm teamed up with people through random meets who take the game too seriously, they abuse you with the word "noob" if you make the slightest mistake or can't literally work magic in game situations, and ban you from their hosting a game if you're not an obsessive asshole like them. The banning thing is another out of the loop with reality situation. What if one person bans you from their host out of thousands of people including yourself who can host games? Is that a power thing? It makes them feel important? What's next you gonna take down my IP address and cross it out with red ink?

Another thing is some people leave if they don't like the hero or mode they got, if they get killed too often, or if they're upset that after making money (farmining) for the entire game without helping out, that they don't make much a difference to its outcome. Some players know every single detail of DotA as if it were the alphabet, anally stick to skill and item builds, use scripted, cheap moves, and call themselves "Pro" as a result. They also laugh at and tease people who don't share these inane "skills".

I have no problem with "pros" but the attitude of some, is the most ironic thing I've ever seen on the net. They believe that real noobs, or accused noobs like me, are....losers. lol. The skills, items commands and strategies of DotA are so vast it would likely take someone new a good few weeks into months of excessive gaming to halfway master. In other words, you'll have to truly devote your life to it, memorizing item recipes, using complicated shorthand like ww, vang, chick, mid mia, SK, DC, AoM, PotM, FF, etc...In other words...be a total frickin geek.

Therefore if I was "pro", I'd keep that on the DL, I think its pretty embarassing to people who live a normal life that you've mastered a custom map of a dated game and u can pwn noobs using lycan in 30 mins. So what if someone sucks at DotA, there's no need to be an unadulterated pompous dickhead to them for asking questions which you happen to have the answer to because you spent hours of your life mastering a videogame or for simply beating them. I won't say "better than" because most losses I've had in DotA and mainly because of lack of communication and teamwork There were many instances when I would lose in a 5v5 game then come back and have long winning streaks against the same people in 1v1 games. I'd love to know the stats for the average amount of times "pro" DotA players have sex, with the opposite sex or how many have girlfriends...jobs...cars...you know, real things you should really be "pwning". People may suck at DotA...but for those who don't, they most likely suck at life.  Which is more important to you?

これまで散々使い倒されたせいか、Windows XPの動作が怪しい。動作が不安定だったり、本来あるべきものがなかったり・・・。

何より人が使ったPCを使うのはなんだか気持ち悪い。もし、実験中や開発中に不具合が出たりして、変に悩んだりするのってものすごく時間の無駄だし、精神衛生上、非常によろしくない。

で、早速、DtoDで復元しようとしたら青色のThinkVantageボタンを押してもリカバリー画面が表示されない。

幸いなことにLenovoが提供しているリカバリーメディアを作成するプログラムがまだ生きているようなので、急いでリカバリーメディア（DVD-R）を作成することに。

リカバリーメディアさえあれば、最悪、HDDがぶっ壊れて交換することになっても大丈夫。思う存分、実験と開発に打ち込むことができる。

ディスクは2枚。

二枚目は、「ThinkVantage(TM)製品リカバリー・ディスク1」。

TM, TMってそんなに主張しなくても良いのに・・・。

気がついたら、X61用に作っておいたリカバリーメディアが見つからない・・・。

再作成したいけど、秘文が入ってるのでDVD-Rドライブが使えないだろうから、リカバリーメディア作成できないような気がするし。どうしよう・・・。
