From what I hear, Pam's show has been put on Hiatus. I am still trying to find cofirmation on this.

I have to say I did enjoy the show, not as much as Denise Richard's show, but it was enjoyable.

When I said Pamela Anderson was (by certain measures) more qualified to be Vice President than Sarah

When I said Pamela Anderson was (by certain measures) more qualified to be Vice President than Sarah Palin, I was mostly joking. But as Palin's tired one liners ('thanks but no thanks', 'lipstick') become come more and more hackneyed with overuse, here comes Pamela with fresh and refreshingly frank material.

So I'm not actually suggesting that Pamela Anderson should replace Palin on the bill. Sarah Palin is, though painfully unqualified to run the country, an elected official with some (limited, misguided, ethically questionable) governing experience. Pamela Andrson is, well, Pamela Anderson.

But I still maintain that there are certain areas in which Pam's got Palin beat:

Understanding of what really got her where she is now, aka: double XX chromosomes: "A lot of mythology has grown around my chest"

Actual respect for the privacy of her children: "Shower scenes were fine; the only thing off-limits was my kids"

Honesty about her own blatant fame-grabbing: "I love having cameras around and I’m a real exhibitionist, in case you couldn’t tell."

Commitment to the public good: "I’m never going to appear in a remake of Baywatch."

Comprehension of the scope of current economic crisis: "I’ve got three boxes of clothes lying around and there was no milk for the kids’ breakfast this morning, and I thought to myself, ‘Has it finally come to this?’"

True affinity with the lower middle class: "I live in a trailer now, so I guess that officially makes me trailer trash."

(Again: only mostly joking.)

There is a company that want to design boots and have Pam's name on them. I don’t know the name of the company that’s doing it for they either didn’t say the name of the company or I didn’t hear it. Anyhoo. The boots are like Ugh boots, but better, because they are not made from animal skin or fur. Pam learned, just as I did, and you will too in a bit, that Ugh boots are made from lamb fur, but they kill the lamb. She thought they shaved the lambs. This upset her for she’s a die hard PETA supporter.

She is on her way to Abu Dhabi to auction off a dinner with her and a lucky person. Her manager is having a meeting with the charity people. Pam’s manager thinks there is some type of routine to be followed and one of the charity organizers says its just a do as you please type thing. There’s no rules or anything.

Pam is going to auction herself off for the charity. Montell Jordan (he sang, This is How We Do It) was the singer at the event. Montell is going to assist in the auction by taking the bids. Bidding started at 50K, then 75k, 100k, 150k, 190k, 230k, ---- sold for $230,000.

Pam’s house is still being built and Pam’s wants to be in the house when she gets back from Abu Dabi, and they (the contractors) don’t think that’s going to happen.

Karen, Pam’s assistant, is looking for Khol eyeliner which Pam likes to wear while Pam is visits Ziad who is associated with a company called Hydra, a real estate company. Pam is mostly interested in the green community that Hydra will building.

Karen didn’t have any luck finding the Khol eyeliner. Everyone she asked pointed to her somewhere else and so forth. She finally gave up and realized that what they had in that mall was the same thing she could find in a mall in America.

Pam is going on a helicopter ride to look at the green community development in person. Pam does not like helicopters but when she found out the pilot used to be a coast guard pilot she was comfortable going.

Meanwhile, back in Malibu, where Pam’s house is being built, they are very behind on schedule. They brought an artitech out to help with the scheduling and such. I don't think even him can fix this problem.

I think some fool named Elias won the dinner with Pam because they showed her having lunch (they later had dinner) with him and she was asking him something about what they do to the camel’s hump (I couldn’t understand what Elias was saying and again they should have had subtitles).

Back at Adu Dhabi, Pam is attending a birthday party for someone. I can’t understand the guy talking. They should have had subtitles for those people over there in Abu Dabi talking to the cameras. Oh ok. Now I got it. It was her son, Brandon, birthday party. Geez.

After the birthday dinner Pam and Brandon decides to jump in a water fountain because its so hot.

The show ends with a quote from Kerouac.

“Why should I compromise with anything else, or the ‘bourgeois’ calm of the backyard lawn.” Kerouac

This election season many people I used to be a fan of, I no longer care for: Harry Reid, Ted Kennedy, President Carter, The DNC, NOW, Emily's List, Susan Sarandon, The View, and now even (sob) Matt Damon. He lost me with his youtube rant about how scared he is of Sarah Palin. He also said the idea of a hockey mom becoming vice president is absurd. It would be like, oh the horror, a Disney movie. Yeah, something good, clean and wholesome. We can't have that.

Jason Bourne wouldn’t have been scared of Sarah – he loves strong, successful women. Matt, not so much. But he’s in good company in Hollywood these days. Chevy Chasesaid he hopes Tina Fey decimates Sarah Palin. Pam Anderson can’t stand her and tells her to suck it, classy. Lindsay Lohan even accuses Sarah of being media obsessed – and she should know!

What has got Hollywood’s collective undies (or lack thereof) in a twist? The idea that a woman - a conservative, bible-loving, comes from a small town, has 5 kids and a supportive husband type woman (ewww, she’s not like us) – might be Vice President. They just do not approve. She’s not cool like Obama. And because she’s a threat to Obama’s ascendancy to the throne, er I mean oval office, she must be destroyed.

Whatever happened to just disagreeing on policies? Sarah has concerns about the same issues we all do. Her solutions to those issues might not be the same as liberal Hollywoodbut why all the vitriol? Is it because in their hearts they realize she is the real deal in a way Obama isn’t? Is it because as they’re screaming how inexperienced she is, they know that Obama has even less experience? Is all the shouting to drown out the whispers in their own heads that with Obama, there’s no “there” there, just words? But then as actors, they love words.

Yes, Hollywood - that bastion of equal treatment for women. In a culture where a woman actor is over-the-hill at 30, is it any surprise that they don’t see their own sexism where Sarah Palin is concerned. They’re all for women breaking that glass ceiling as long as it is their kind of woman. But because she’s a Republican they can’t even acknowledge all that she has achieved and how great it is to see any woman as a Vice Presidential nominee. They’re also blind to how ridiculous they sound mocking her experience while Obama, with his limited resume, is hailed as being fresh, new, change… yes sirree, the woman’s experience is torn down while the man’s is built up. And you know, Matt, if someone had said that the idea of Obama, with only 142 days in the Senate before deciding to run, becoming President was absurd - they would be called a racist, just saying.

Hey, pssst Hollywood, instead of trying to decimate Sarah why don’t you try telling us all the reasons Obama would be better? Well… I guess that script still needs to be written. Currently it's just a bunch empty pages.

Yes, stars have a right to their opinions and they even have a right to make youtubes giving us those opinions, but – and by the way Matt, that hockey mom’s title is Governor Palin – I also have the right, every time I now decide not to go see a Matt Damon movie, to think of him as a sexist pig.

And our goal to keep the Palin hate to a maximum (at least with celebrities): More hate for Palin from Pam Anderson.

Finally, throw this one up for most heartwarming: lion in wild reunites with previous owners.

Sure it may be staged, but gosh darn it's one of the most touching things ever; complete with Whitney Houston in the background. I love Whitney. It's hard to choose a favorite among so many great tracks, but "The Greatest Love of All" is one of the best, most powerful songs ever written about self-preservation, dignity. Its universal message crosses all boundaries and instills one with the hope that it's not too late to better ourselves. Since it's impossible in this world we live in to empathize with others, we can always empathize with ourselves. It's an important message, crucial really. And it's beautifully stated on the album.

This post on politics will probably not be what you expect. That post is coming either tomorrow or Thursday. But since this is my first ever post about politics, please go to the * and read my disclaimer.

This is an election year. For me it's a year to vote for governor and US Senator as well as another office you may have heard of, President of the United States. One of the interesting phenomenons that is a part of the election process is the coverage in the media.

I am not writing this post to simply complain about the coverage, although I am not happy. I already know the situation. In college I was a political science major. Part of studying poly sci in this age (even though I was in college last century) is studying politics in the mass media. Although there is a new form of mass media since I was in college, these lessons are still useful.

The first lesson about politics in mass media is about the practice of negative campaigning. (The Willie Horton ad is the most famous attack ad of all time.) The short summary of negative campaigning is this – it works – very well. And refuting the messages in attack ads does not work – at all. So how do you combat negative ads? With negative ads, of course. People all say that they hate them, but they work, so they are not going anywhere. Get used to them. BTW, now you can recognize an attack ad before it begins because the "I'm ___ ____, and I approved this message" is at the beginning rather than at the end as a way of separating the candidate's name from the negative ad.

Here’s the second thing to learn about politics in mass media, the news only covers the election as a horse race. For example, if one candidate comes out with a huge policy statement, lets say he is rolling out his policy on terrorism. Here’s is the coverage you will get on the news on every level. A brief summary of the plan, nothing that would ever take longer than 15 seconds, maybe some bullet points, and quite a lot of discussion of how the plan will affect the candidates standings in the polls. The closer the election gets, the less talk of anything substantive. The coverage becomes only stories of new polls and how a particular candidates latest move will affect their standings. After a debate, the number 1 question will always be; "who won?" Nobody covers what they actually said, unless it was incredibly stupid. Watch and see as we get closer to November.

The world we now live in is slightly different than when I was in college. Now we have the internet. (We had the internet when I was in college, but it was video free and blog free. It was a very different web.) A quick perusal of digg on any day, (Go there now, I’d bet there are at least 3 of the top 10 stories on politics (and probably negative about McCain/Palin)) or the top technorati tags or wordpress tags will show you what is popular. And politics is very popular. The problem with the internet is that so much of what we see and is popular is what is called an echo chamber. It’s people blogging about something somebody else already blogged. Then, rumors and half-truths become so popular that nobody can tell them from the truth. I still know people who believe the Obama is a Muslim who refuses to say the pledge of allegiance, and Palin’s youngest child is actually her grandchild. Nobody believes it because of any proof or reason, but because they heard it so often. That is the major problem with the internet as a news source, so much of it is just a giant echo chamber. Over half my posts are just linking to videos or other stuff. And my blog is an actual blog with original content a couple of times a week. Of the thousands & thousands of typepad, wordpress and blogger blogs, I would love to see what percentage contain original content as opposed to reposts of links of stuff from around the web. (BTW – That is why there will always be a need for professional journalists, Their form may just change from newspapers to the web.)

Finally I believe there is a greater influence of celebrity now than there has been in the past. Celebrities have always been involved with politics, but it seems like now there is either much more news about them, or somehow they get much more attention. In just the last week, Matt Damon, Pamela Anderson, and Lindsay Lohan have all publicly bashed Sarah Palin. Every time it makes headlines, and people seem to care.

* Although I am a staff member of LaGrange Park Baptist Church, the views and opinions expressed in this blog are my own and not that of the church. They may not be construed as an endorsement or attack on any candidate or party on behalf of the church. They are my views as an individual.

It really irks me when celebrity opinions get so much press time. After all, their opinion is no bet

It really irks me when celebrity opinions get so much press time. After all, their opinion is no better then the average Joe's. This past week it seems Hollywood has been very critical of the McCain/Palin ticket. From Matt Damon to Barbara Streisand. Of course we can't forget Pamela Anderson's classy remark when asked about Palin, "Screw her." I'm sorry but the day I want to learn how to be an efficient slut, I'll go to Pamela Anderson for advice. For political endeavors I'll go to more sophisticated minds. What upsets me even more is when celebrities I like make stupid and uneducated remarks. I personally love the music of P!nk but was flabbergasted at her remark about Palin. "This woman hates women" and "She is not of this time. The woman terrifies me." She hates women? That statement isn't grounded in reality by any stretch of the imagination. She's not of this time? What the hell does that mean? In case she hasn't noticed Palin has energized the Republican party. So I guess she's "hype" and "into the now". Also just today another celeb I like Hal Sparks had an interesting blog on his myspace. It was basically about comparing the candidates on economy. Of course he picks the topic that McCain himself said he wasn't strong on (though Obama isn't any better). Hal goes on to compare what is written on each candidates website about their economy stance. Unfortunately, no one told Hal that Obama's stance comes straight from the DNC platform. Nothing new and unconventional there.

What makes all this worse is that clearly these celebs have not been educated on what went on during the primary season. They are defending a candidate they haven't done their homework on. They don't know about the sleazy Chicago style politics the Obama camp has been playing. They don't know about the voter suppression and caucus fraud. Nor the fake roll call and how Clinton supporters really feel. Someone should educated them before they go opening their mouths and saying something that *might* influence someones vote. It's a sad day when the media will report on a celebrities 2 cents but won't report important information that the people need to know. I encourage people not to listen to those overpaid celebs but to do your own research and come to your own conclusion.

Every once in a great while Celebes get involved, and maybe to involved, in the political ring. Here is a roundup of this week in political celebrity:

TheSuperficial.com reports Lindsey Lohan weighs in on Palin

I really cannot bite my tongue anymore when it comes to Sarah Palin.
I couldn't be more supportive of a woman in office, but let's face it, it comes down to the person, and their beliefs, male or female.
Is it a sin to be gay? Should it be a sin to be straight? Or to use birth control? Or to have sex before marriage? Or even to have a child out of wedlock?

Pam Anderson told Sarah Palin to "Suck It!"

The Nation talks up the "McCain-Follieri Love Boat."

Heart has become the latest musical act to decry McCain's use of their songs.

And last, but not least, Matt Damon sullies Disney's good name when her declares his fear of Sarah Palin.

I find celebrities amusing, I find the ability in which they play into the media's hands also amusing. I find their attempts to be political in some ways curious in other ways frustrating.

Now Pam Anderson may become an advisor to the White House and she may not but I sure hope this isn't the advice she gives. Although maybe that is how Palin should diffuse a potential nuclear war with Putin.

In all fairness to Pam Anderson, she is a big PETA activist loves animals and probably knows something about sucking in not only acting but in reality. She was baited by the interviewer who of course knew she would have a tough time not saying something about a bear pelt in Palin's home.

But why oh why can celebrities not keep it zipped during an election. Count 25,000 votes for McCain / Palin for every celebrity that attacks them, and Pam, Matt Damon go rent Team America by the South Park guys, watch it and learn. If you "really" like Obama "zip it", if you actually like McCain/Palin, well keep it up. It may end up as a landslide...

Sure, the Democrats thought that they had the Messiah as a shoo-in for President and healthy gains i

Sure, the Democrats thought that they had the Messiah as a shoo-in for President and healthy gains in Congress to boot....but that was two weeks ago....what a difference two weeks makes!

While nothing is certain at this point, the political pendulum has certainly been swinging in the direction of Republicans since Hurricane Sarah descended upon St. Paul....

So you know what that means...we still get to see their everyday bias, attacks, and stupidity, but just at a much higher level.....so much so that the masks are starting to come off...

[caption id="attachment_664" align="alignright" width="242" caption="Pic: JohnMcCain.com"][/caption]

Let' just begin with what blew the lid off of this whole thing....Sarah Palin.... and the media biasthat has followed her arrival as the new "rock star".

You may have noted the unprecedented and nasty lies told about Gov. Palin and her family in just two weeks time....it is the work of the Obama campaign, lefty groups, and the Main Stream Media (MSM).

The most recent example of liberal bias is the first interview she had with Charlie Gibson. While many questions he asked may be pertinent to a Presidential campaign...there are two things that stand out.

One, Charlie Gibson was very condescending with a tone that resembled a police officer questioning a suspect....and two, the questioning was biased in the sense that Palin has been asked more pointed and probing questions in one two-day interview session than Barack Obama, Joe Biden, or even John Edwards (VP candidate in 2004) have had during the entire campaign.

For instance, even UPI, has seen the obvious bias....(Hat tip: Newsbusters.org):

Charles Gibson of ABC News was out for blood and inherently applied a double-standard compared with the kid gloves George Stephanopoulos used on Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois on Sunday night.

Gibson was out to embarrass Palin and expose her presumed ignorance from the word go. ......when Obama referred to his "Muslim faith" on Sunday and did not correct himself, Stephanopoulos rushed in at once to help him and emphasize that the senator had really meant to say his Christian faith.

By contrast, Gibson tried to embarrass Palin by referring to her Christian faith in asking people to pray for U.S. soldiers in Iraq. Palin countered by pointing out she was following the precedent set by Abraham Lincoln.

......Palin's assessment of foreign policy was competent and not embarrassing. Although she initially exhibited ignorance of the Bush Doctrine on pre-emptive strikes that has been a central pillar of U.S. foreign policy after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, she recovered quickly and then made the case clearly. Tactically, she made the mistake of trying to be friendly and informal with Gibson, who assumed a superior, professorial and critical stance toward her. She would have been far better going on the attack to rattle him.

The double-standard Gibson applied to Palin, compared with the uncritical media platforms repeatedly offered to Obama, who has had zero executive experience running anything, was especially striking. ABC and Gibson focused on Palin as if she were running right now for the presidency rather than the vice presidency. He and other media pundits, by contrast, have never asked the Democratic vice presidential nominee, Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware, if he has ever had to make a decision on anything.

While libs have pounced on the "Bush Doctrine" question (read entire Interview if you are not familiar with the question), the truth is there are several definitions of the Bush Doctrine....almost to the point that the doctrine's meaning is in the eye of the beholder.

Even Barack Obama, as reported by ABCNews in 2007, has a different definition than 'ol Charlie (ht: RedState.com):

In July 2007, Senator Barack Obama described the “Bush Doctrine” as, as reported by ABC News, “only speaking to leaders of rogue nations if they first meet conditions laid out by the United States.”

You know, if the media is asking a candidate a question relating to party predecessors, asking Sarah Palin if she agrees with the "Bush Doctrine" is like asking Obama to define what the meaning of "is" is....

Then we have our nasty attacks....or is that stupid attacks? You know Obama either doesn't have control of his campaign or he is a definitely running a negative campaign, or he is just stupid.....

The recent ad run about McCain being out of touch but citing his lack of e-mail use is petty if that were the only issue with the ad...in reality McCain is unable to use a computer because of the beatings he took as a POW.

Here's the ad:

The background on and reality of the situation from Gateway Pundit:

....as Jonah Goldberg reported at The Corner, the Boston Globe wrote about John McCain's difficulties using computer keyboards due to his war injuries:

McCain gets emotional at the mention of military families needing food stamps or veterans lacking health care. The outrage comes from inside: McCain's severe war injuries prevent him from combing his hair, typing on a keyboard, or tying his shoes. Friends marvel at McCain's encyclopedic knowledge of sports. He's an avid fan - Ted Williams is his hero - but he can't raise his arm above his shoulder to throw a baseball.

Now on to stupid:

A few quotes from the bastion of intelligence, Hollywood:

The "PETA trailer park trash queen of Hollywood bimbos", Pam Anderson had this to say about Sarah Palin:

"I can't stand her. She can suck it."

Spoken by someone who is an expert on the subject....

Then there is "I am not an intellectual, but I like to pretend I am", Matt Damon's, comments this week:

You do the actuary tables, there's a one out of three chance, if not more, that McCain doesn't survive his first term, and it'll be President Palin...............It's like a really bad Disney movie, "The Hockey Mom.' Oh, I'm just a hockey mom from Alaska, and she's president........She's facing down Vladimir Putin and using the folksy stuff she learned at the hockey rink. It's absurd.

This is the guy who is supposed to acting all neutral and bipartisan on all of the "ONE" commercials......yea right. I suppose Damon would rather see a bad Coppola film titled, " The Messianic Thug who "Changed" America".

And the final victim-oriented, condescending, stupid question of the week from Hollywood and "The View": (never mind that McCain blew the answer...it was not a good question):

Here's a clip of it:

Whoopi: Should I worry about being a slave?

She asked this question in response to McCain saying he believes that Supreme Court nominees should interpret the constitution as the founders intended.

This question always irritates me.....Whoopi is just like a lot of libs who hate this country and anyone who disagrees with her. People like Whoopi want to trash the constitution and believe that our country's founders are not to be respected or honored for the greatness of their achievement. Whoopi and those of her ilk, use race and slavery here to promote their victimization ..... they overlook the writings and beliefs of the founders and their intentions.

Some founders owned slaves, but many, at the time of the writing of the constitution, did not believe in slavery. While many wanted to abolish it and not give it credence in the constitution, they were not able to achieve that goal while maintaining a union of all of the states at the time. The part of the constitution regarding the 3/5ths rule and slavery was a compromise between the North and South....not a proactive push for slavery by the founders.

It has been thoroughly documented that many , if not most, of the founders intended for slavery to end....which is exactly what McCain said....the constitution should be interpreted as intended! Appointing justices who interpret the Constitution and the intentions of the founder would never make Whoopi nor any person "become a slave". And that is as it should be!

Whoopi is simply a slave of her own victim-complex and the Hollywood "out of touch" elitism that most Americans abhor.

Alright. Now I have to admit, I am not a big fan of anyone. I have my favorite tastes in music, but

Alright. Now I have to admit, I am not a big fan of anyone. I have my favorite tastes in music, but I wouldn't wet myself if Carlos Santana walked up to me and asked me for change for a dollar. There are people I'd like to meet if only to ask a few questions. I'd like to sit down with Britney Spears. I would love to encourage her to keep trying everything she can to get her kids back and pat her on the back for starting to get her life back together. She's worked hard, it seems. I'd like to eat a nice juicy hamburger cooked medium right on Pam Anderson's lap squirting juicy dead cow in her left eye. Yeah! But that's mean, isn't it?

So since I'm not easily star struck I have this thing that makes me laugh. It seriously does. I wonder if these Hollywood types really think what they say about the election -- good or bad -- really makes a difference. Is it just me, or do others of you think most Hollywood actors and actresses are a bunch of good looking morons? How hard is it to pretend you're someone you're not on screen? Maybe I'm a bit naive, but seriously -- if they can do it, I think most anyone can. The ones who can sing, well they are just gifted. That takes God given talent and sometimes a lot of training and some guts and some confidence. But it appears that a lot of these actors and singers get this elitist attitude that they can swing an election based on their opinions of a candidate (or a candidate's running mate). It makes me laugh. I think, "shut up puppet, here's another dollar -- dance puppet dance." I know I have a mean streak so you don't need to send me angry e-mails or badger me about how oh so judgmental I am being -- look in the mirror baby, then once you see your flawlessness you can throw your stones.

So tell me -- what is the ONE or TWO things that decides it for you. You don't have to reveal your candidate of choice. Just tell me what makes you lean one way or the other. Mine is simple -- abortion. That's it. Period. I don't care about anything else. My opinion of a person's character begins with his or her opinion on the sanctitiy of human life as well as their desire to defend the most innocent of us all, the unborn. As a result of my conviction in this matter, I will be voting for John McCain. Do I think he's perfect? No. But who the heck is?

Spill it.

In fact, she's a pretty smart cookie. Not many people can live down hook-ups (and in some cases marriages to) three of the biggest d-bags in Hollywood (Tommy, Kid Rock, Paris Hilton's ex) including a sex tape scandal, but Pam did. So we know she's able to face challenges, not to mention take on the "elite media". Plus all that PETA stuff she does. Plus she wrote that book.

She's also a 41 year-old hockey mom, which is apparently all the experience required if you want to run the country these days. And considering that she's way more well-traveled than certain other female candidates for the second in-command, I'd say she's effectively qualified to run for high US office.

It's too bad about that whole being born in Canada thing, otherwise Sarah Palin could have two double D-sized problems on her hands.

Here's a clip of what Pambo had to say about the competition: (video after the jump)

Ok. I was going to do a post on the Pam Anderson show but that show is just too confusing for me to keep up. She starts out with one thing, then quickly moves on to something else, might come back to the first thing, then on to something totally different, then back to the second thing and on and on and on.

I enjoyed Denise Richards show because it was easy to follow. It was a normal show. Not saying that I need things to be simple for me to follow. Hardly. I enjoy the most complicated movies and books for the thinking cells have to get moving. What I don't care for is the constant moving around, and that's what Pam's show seems to do to me. I could be wrong about this. I will continue to watch the show because I like Pam, but to write about it, no.

Pamela Anderson has thrown her her political opinion into the arena, in a possible attempt to see if people care. When asked by an E! network reporter about Governor Palin, Anderson said she "can't stand her" and that "she can suck it"; promptly adding "you can quote me".

The reporter has gone on record as the first man to actually pay attention to what comes out of Pamela Anderson's mouth. News worthy? Questionable. A great front page photo opportunity? Definitely.

NoahSife.com has learned a bizarre rumor. Apparently Michael Jackson is now dating Pamela Anderson:

US sex symbol Pamela Anderson, 41, was reportedly seen out on two ‘dates’ in Malibu with pop legend Michael Jackson, 50, sparking rumors they may be romantically involved. A source told Britain’s Daily Mirror: “It was all arranged by their people in total secrecy, very cloak and dagger. Michael is such a private person. He gets nervous when thinks people are following him around, so he chose somewhere neutral for their first date. They arrives separately at the Shutters Hotel on Malibu beach so no one would suspect anything and then had a few drinks at the bar. They were very friendly. Pamela was being her usual flirty self and Michael seemed to be responding. They are such a strange couple but they seemed to really hit it off."

The pair reportedly got along so well on the first date that they have met up again for a second date shortly after, going for coffee at the Country Mart in Malibu.

As crazy as this may sound I think they would make a dope couple. That's a good look for Michael. I hope these two really hook up, they would be the couple of the century....

I really like Pam Anderson, but her show is driving me nuts because it seems so scattered. Because I missed last week's episode I ended watching two episodes back to back. Last week's and then this past Sunday's and I gotta tell ya, I was so confused on what happened on which episode. I asked my friend to give me a run down of one of the shows I accidentally deleted before writing my post and even she was confused. So, I'm going to do a summary of her show but don't ask me which episode was which. Oh, and by the way, this will be brief followed by my thoughts on Denise Richards' show.

Pam went to visit the Marine base at Camp Pendleton to entertain the troops and Kathy Griffin was with her. Pam took pictures with them and talked with them and whatnot. Pam's manager lives about five houses down from her which she loves because she can go on balcony and wave to him or she can walk down the street and talk to him. Oh, and her manager used to be part of some British duo, but I forget their name. Um, in one of the episodes she went to Washington to talk about the unethical treatment of animals in labatories and they showed a monkey having a tube forced down his nose and they showed something else I can't remember, that was equally as horrible. I was going to get on my soapbox about animal abuse, but I won't. You can thank me now. You're welcome.

Oh, there was this fool that immortalizes "celebrities" (and I use the word "celebrity" very loosely) when they are dead and he wanted to strike a deal with Pam. Pam met up with Tommy Lee on his tour bus and she saw a video (I don't know what it was) that Tommy let the kids see and she wasn't happy about it because one of her sons told her and also told her that Tommy said, "Don't tell your mom." So, Pam got on Tommy about it. She did light heartedly and it was adorable. Ahem, I guess you had to be there. Anyhoo. That's about it for those two episodes.

I am debating if I am going to keep posting about her show because it just doesn't anything for me save for looking at Pam. I do find her very intelligent and she has a great sense of humor (corny humor, but humor just the same).

Oh I do have to say this and I meant to post this before beginning posting on her show. Pam was on the view promoting her show, just as Denise Richards was before her show premiered. Whoopi (there's another subject you don't want me to get on my soapbox about) said to Pam, (paraphrasing here brothers and sisters), "I tip my dreads to you for not having your kids on your show." Wait, did I just hear the needle go across the record? oh, and hold on there brothers and ssters, but isn't that the back of Dylan's head and isn't that the other son's legs? Am I missing something here? Pam can show her kids all she wants just Denise did on her show. But Ms. Whoopi needs to get off her self-righteous horse. If you are lost as to what I am speaking about refer to my Denise Richards post when she was on the view. There's a video with the write up.

Experience of a Lifetime!!
Hello to everyone and so sorry to everyone else who missed out on the AD

Experience of a Lifetime!!

Hello to everyone and so sorry to everyone else who missed out on the ADVENTURE of a LIFETIME!! My fist time participating in the gumball rally 3000 was a star studded, heart pumping, nonstop adrenaline rush! No exaggeration! We kicked off in downtown San Fransisco being escorted by a police motorcade through the beautiful city only to begin the most exiting cat and mouse game I have ever been a part of! Cruizing behind David Hasslehoff, driving the original Knight Rider, was a "Hassle" in itself due to his participation in that little show called Baywatch, aside from the already massive gumball rally crowds, he drew a following of his own. When we stopped to let traffic through, I couldn't help but notice an excess amount of attention I was getting and I haven’t even released my album yet!LOL! But these were some oooo's and aaaa's and awkward stares so I looked in the backseat and they was no one where 3 people had originally been when we started! There was one hanging out the window, and the other two no where to be found! The motorcade starts waving us through!!! Oh no...do I just leave without them?? Dallas Tanner of Destination X TV in the back says go go or you will lose your position to another driver!.......another one jumps in as we are accelerating, but where’s Dion? I can hear him down the line of cars way in the back and we are already gone so he HAD to jump in with none other than Alfonso Ribiero, the co-star of Fresh Prince "Carlton" So not only is Dion safe and still in the rally, but he is riding with the costar of one of my favorite shows of all time!! Im jealous!

Then, I look directly behind me and see Bam Magera and his people from Viva La Bam hangin out the window showing off for our camaras appropriately living up to their crazy reputation. We found them a couple days later narrowly missing a huge ticket for backing up on the shoulder of the freeway because they missed their exit. HA HA crazy guys! Amatures is what I call them! hehe.

Meanwhile our driver Ashley Van Dyke and her navigator/co-pilot Erik Ward were already at the next checkpoint feet kicked up, relaxing in the shade with an ice cold beverage complete with the little umbrella......what?!!! wait a second.....they dont have time for that.....they were fueling up, anticipating their next location, and grabbing a bite to eat as they're preparing for takeoff!

This was by far the most exciting event that I have ever been involved with and it turns out that in the 10 years of Gumball Rally history, it just keeps getting better and better! In 2001 Johhny Knoxville, Steve-O, and Chris Pontius of Jackass participated as well as comedian Vic Reeves. Over the years stopping at places such as Hugh Hefner's home the Playboy Mansion, The White House in Washington DC, Elvis Presley's Mansion in Graceland, the list goes on! All I know is that every year you can count me in!!

Lunar energy is mysterious, haunting, subtle, creative, changing, artistic, nocturnal, sexual, nefarious, manipulative, hysteric, magnetic, ancient, provocative, intuitive, feminine, and unsettling. Accordingly, those born under the hypnotic vibrations of Luna exhibit these traits, rendering Cancer the zodiac’s resident lunatic.

Cancers are, in true lunatic speech, misunderestimated. I can only assume that the hordes of astrologers who’ve painted Cancer as the perfect paragon of pastel pink maternalism, with their big bloated lactating funbags and rotund bodices, have never been magnetically sucked into the salty, slightly damp cave of a loony, indwelling Crab. And chances are, they haven’t. Cancers are as elusive to diurnal folks as your neighborhood burglar or night stalker. You’re more likely to encounter a Cancer hiding under your bed (you’re not sure what the hell they’re doing under there, but it’s safe to assume it has something to do with either a future black-mailing, casting a cursing spell on you, or gathering fodder for some retributive emotional manipulation) than during daylight hours.

Crabby McCrabclaws can easily be detected by their raucous, ribald laughter, the laughing lunatic being a modern day manifestation of their archetype. You will never meet a Cancer that doesn’t have a deeply perverted, irreverent sense of humor. Cancer, the zodiac's own bipolar mother (or what Jung referred to as “The Dual Mother Archetype,” half psycho/half sweet) was probably the genesis of the dead baby joke. Accordingly, Cancer is the sign of The Mainstream Humorist: Bill Cosby, Robin Williams, Gilda Radner, Phylis Diller, Larry David (he’s actually funny, unlike the rest of this list), Dan Ackroyd, Will Farrel, Mel Brooks, and Don Knotts are just some of the popular comedians born under Luna’s influence.

Cancer is also the sign of The Slightly Retarded Insane Person: Garey Busey, George W. Bush, Courtney Love, Jessica Simpson, Lizzy “40 wacks” Borden, Larry David, Geraldo Rivera, Khloe Kardashian, Mike Tyson, Lindsay Lohan, 50 Cent, Leona Helmsley, Tom Cruise, O.J. Simpson, Richard Simmons, Jerry Rubin, Bridgit Neilson, Isaac Brock, Ross Perot, Pam Anderson, Juliette Lewis, Cyndi Lauper, and Nancy Reagan are just a few crazies born under the moon’s unstable, bewitching influence.

Cancer rules the house of personal history (childhood trauma), collective memory (patriotism sponsored by contrived historical precedence), home and real estate (agoraphobia), self-protection (paranoia), collecting (pack ratting), security (dating for money), emotions (unstable volatilism), mood (bipolarism), intuition (incessant stomach aches), and the maternal principle (manipulation via nurturing). All Cancers, despite their apparent differences, are united by their insatiable appetite for mysticism. Even the most proper Lunar Ladies (such as Nancy Reagan and Princess Diana) and Lunatic men (Scientologist Tom Cruise) are drawn to astrology and the occasional chanting/ouiji board sess'/exorcising, an ancient holdout from when the moon = menstruation = dangerous, mystical female power/magic. Cancer is a peculiar mix of nocturnal, brooding, mystical darkness; child-like prettiness, outlandish eccentricism, filthy dead baby jokes, and historic romanticism. As the zodiac's nocturnal historian, Crabs are easily identified by their vintage scent, a musky mixture of unwashed thrift store clothing, dead roses, Chanel No. 5, and mildew. This is appropriate, as most Cancers can be found lurking in the dark lairs of some permuted basement: sex dungeons, bomb shelters, attics, archives, vintage clothing stores, dingy dive bars, late night greasy diners, 24 hour pharmacies, historic downtown lofts, antique stores, clubs, and the basement office of your neighborhood psychic are just a few of Cancer’s favorite haunts.

In traditional tarot and astrology, motherhood, babies, and big boobs play a minor role in the depiction of the moon and its archetypal vibratory pattern. As sure as the moon coincides with women’s ovulatory and menstrual cycles, the full moon has also been positively correlated in controlled academic studies with measurable increases in “homicides, suicides, fatal traffic accidents, aggravated assaults and psychiatric emergency room admissions." Lunar energy has become less boding and intimidating to us as we’ve mastered darkness through the controlled use of light. We’ve come to regard the moon as an inhospitable (read: incapable of being pillaged) and useless meteor, a floating vestige from the haunted, pre-scientific world of our moon-worshipping ancestors. We no longer see her as a glowing egg in the sky that magically draws us into the mysteries of the dark; she is now our bloated, overly protective mother that, despite our best efforts to ignore her out of existence, is still interfering in our lives. Thus, we've simply related her to something harmless, such as moon = motherhood, rather than moon = Mike Tyson biting your ear off or moon = your scorned girlfriend smashing her car into your garage door. I hate to break it to you Linda Goodman knock-offs, but the moon means much more than just Tampax and Gymboree. Such is the hazard of literal interpretations. The truth is, a Cancer is more likely to neurotically obsess over their metaphorical creations (that which they birth from their soul) rather than their literal creations (that which they birth from their uterine canal). Most Cancers are more inclined to paranoidly fret over their creative works being stolen by plagiarists or losing their investments to the inconsistencies of the financial market than losing their biological children to adulthood. In conclusion, Cancer is not your mother. Cancer is your eccentric nieghborhood pervert/agorophobic artist.

The Cancer archetype is represented in the original Marseilles tarot deck in the form of the foreboding Moon card, La Lune. The card represents what Joseph Campbell has called “The Dark Night of the Soul,” those bleakest periods in which we find ourselves lost, confused, and unable to navigate our way out of the infinitely light-less maze we’ve driven ourselves into. Unlike The Star card, which represents the futurism and hope of Aquarius, the Moon represents our pasts... things we've abandoned, childhood pets we've put to sleep, regrets, our darkest secrets, those childhood traumas we'd like to peddle our Little Mermaid tenspeeds as fast as we can away from. The Moon is a repository for those memories that can never truly be forgotten. The Moon is a constant reminder of the most fucked up incarnations of ourselves. Ultimately, she redeems us by teaching us that the only way out of our self-imposed maze is through confronting our Shadow, only by delving even deeper into the murky depths of our souls can we finally emerge. Only when we forage a connection to our inherent bodily knowledge and intuition can we safely be guided back to the light.

The Moon is often regarded as the bleakest card in the tarot deck.

Unlike the seventeen Trump cards that precede it, the Moon card depicts no human presence; there is no place for the individual ego in this particular landscape. Anyone who has delved into the dimly lit depths of their own psyche in the form of drug experimentation, sensory deprivation, or meditation can attest to the fact that the ego does not exist independent of what Frued refers to as "social realities." Just as Cancer represents our introduction into the element of water (to wit, pre-consciousness) in the zodiac, the Moon card marks our initial entrée into the swampy, instinctual firmament of our unconsciousness. Two rabid dogs howl at the moon, flanking a prehistoric crawfish submerged in an unending sea of cold, colorless, thick petroleum. The crawfish is able to survive the toxic, oxygen-less swamp due to her thick exoskeleton. Just as the crab or crawfish wears his armament on the outside, so does self-protective Cancer, with her uber-manipulative mind, hermetically sealed crotch, hardened exterior, and razor sharp crab claws, she is the embodiment of self-defensiveness.

The Moon card depicts luna crying lurimae lunae, “tears of the moon.” The tearful moon feeds the firmament with her dew, connecting her with the alchemical state of liquidity and bodily fluids: blood, tears, urine, mucus, saliva, bodies of water, paint, plasma, ejaculate, hormones, medicaments, excrement, poison, and cleaning products all come under the rulership of the moon. This is perhaps why water signs, Cancers especially, make excellent doctors, pill poppers, nurses, prostitutes, mothers, biologists, caretakers, surgeons, sanitation workers, plastic surgery candidates, morticians, vampires, artists, drug addicts, and cold blooded killers. Cancers, like the moon, are magnetically drawn to fluids and fluid states. Cancers love the relaxing wave of warmth that a Xanax, Vicodin, or Soma (which is derived from the Hindi word for the moon) induces over them, almost as much as they love watching the billowing waves of the ocean. Both are reminiscent of their preferred state of being: encapsulated in their mother's womb.

Just as Cancer is the maiden of bodily byproducts, she is the supreme ruler of bodily knowledge. Cancer embodies what psychoanalysis refers to as “primary process thinking”-those visceral, ancient, unmediated drives that lie deep within the center the human brain (officially called the limbic system or even more officially, the hippocampus). Like the fourth house of Cancer, our hippocampus presides over memories, feelings, moods, emotions, sex hormones, and learning. In fact, too little blood flow to the hippocampus has been connected with Bipolarism, the medicalization of the moody “Dual Mother” archetype. And if you’ve ever met a menstrual Cancer lady during a full moon, you will truly understand what complete and utter emotional instability/two-faced vacillation looks like.

Water signs are disinclined to employ their higher cognitive faculties as a mediator between knee-jerk, unconscious viscera and their reactive behaviors. Hence, perhaps, the Cancer’s inclination towards hiding in your closet, smashing your car window with a sledge hammer, or even killing you in your sleep. Cancers, like all water signs, have a difficult plot in life in terms of love and relationships. Cancer is the most sentimental, romantic, easily emotionally bruised of all zodiac signs (yes, even more so than suicidal Pisces). Couple a crab-claw like hold on past slights with an uber soft nugget of a heart, and you have one explosive crustacean on your hands.

I suggest eating him with butter.
