I am shocked, amazed, astonished and very suprised about Randolfs latest achievement. He came to me

I am shocked, amazed, astonished and very suprised about Randolfs latest achievement. He came to me on the chat the other day and says, Timothy, come and watch my game. Its not the first time he has done this as we sometimes focus our collected poker brainpower in a game in order to improve the odds of winning, but on this rare.. very rare I might add, occation he was on the final table, second chipleader on a $5 buyin 433 player tournament!

I have to admit that I have never come this close before in a tournament this large - I have tried though many many manymany times... and failed.

Well, he is still a fish, he just got lucky.. or so I would like to think but the truth is, he had some skills this time that fucker and with his remaining $15 bankroll! Its like god, if there is such a thing said , nono randolf, I dont want you to quit playing juuuust yet.

Now when the god looks at me he says, hah, not this time, try again fuckhead.

Ive been on mega tilt, playing aggressive, loose, tight you name it to win, several tournaments and some cashgames but without luck.

I tried stepping up in blinds, $1/$2 and right from the start I said to myself, I will loose the $100 anyway but I might learn something. Something amazing happened and I was kicking ass, 30 min later I had more than doubled up my bankroll and had tells on everyone. And ofcourse this is when it happens, it happens to me in every game and is the reason why I currently am on a loosing streak in poker.

Bad luck.. or bad playing, I would like to think its the first of the two.

A guy who can easily match my bets come on the table, ive been watching him the last hour or so and he is agressive as hell raising and stealing blinds doyle brunson style to everyone. He doesnt win every hand but with all the blind stealing he is making good money. I just know he never has anything, so when I have K7 offsuit and he raises it up to $7 I call just for the hell of it. The flop has a lovely king and he does the same act he has done the last 50 hands, he bets the pot.

Thinking I have outsmarted him and he probably doesnt have anything I call.. and I do so up untill the river where I go all in to scare him off.

He shows KK and has trip kings. This one time where im in the hand betting he lands a monster.. it couldnt happen the other times no, just the one time when Timothy also has top pair and bets.

Right now im thinking about a big break, but Randolfs win has motivated me to atleast keep playing tournaments. I would love to qualify into something big and im not a bad player, just an impatient and unlucky gambler.

Some of you might say that the call I made above was RETARDED, but if you had watched the table you could have seen what I was talking about.

Hats of to Randolf in any case, this time he wasnt a fish :)

//Timothy

I decided to google this term — since I was seeing a fair number of player icons with that log

I decided to google this term --- since I was seeing a fair number of player icons with that logo at the poker tables at the low limits.

I was concerned slightly before, because I noticed that a number of them were in Berlin --- and I don't sit with players at the same table who have listed the same locale.

I didn't figure it was a bot --- because when I researched where Americans could play - I found out that Poker Stars is the most popular site in the world ---- and it has a rather long list of online poker-related software it bans -- which will get you restricted if you have them on your computer --- which you have to let Poker Stars look for from time to time when you use the site.

....If my wife (Korean) would have a cow if she knew that bit of info....(not that that is a Korean trait -- my wife is just a hell of a lot more private than I am....and she happens to be Korean...)

(a bot is a software program that you configure (usually from downloaded configurations someone else has tinkered with extensively) --- the software has the ability to watch the poker table window(s) you are sitting at and analysis the situation and make your decisions for you. In short, it is a poker robot who you set up to make you money while you diddle yourself)

So, that gave me some confidence I wouldn't find the bot problem I did at Paradise Poker a few years ago. (To give their admin people credit over there --- when it got really, really bad with the bots at the low limit tables, they did come in and clean house after numerous complaints)...

I had also recently exchanged emails with the Poker Stars admin about a player playing a huge number of tables at the same time - which I didn't think was possible given how many decisions he'd have to be making often at the same time.

The Poker Stars staff showed they seemed to be very much on top of issues like bots.

----anyway----

When I googled today for Intelli Poker I found this page which seemed to give all necessary info.

It says it is a German site whose main feature is teaching the poker and online poker in particular.

It is connected to Poker Stars --- and that is why you see so many of the logos -- it is some kind of promotional thing.

That is another things about the icons ---- and the idea they were bots ---- what idiot would advertise they were using a bot??? ---

It does seem that there was an Intelli bot at one point....

Poker Stars bought out a group of established domains that had developed a bot by that name....

That info page does say that - in the deal for the domains - Poker Stars agreed to drop that bot from its prohibited list....

....but...I'm not worried...

The people I've seen playing with that logo don't show signs of being bots: they don't have that mechanical -- constant rhythm like I remember from the bots at the other site years ago ---- 1-2-3-bet-5-6.......1-2-3-bet-5-6....

Having a bot or two at a table also isn't that big a disadvantage -- for one - you have a good idea of how they are going to play.

But mainly, you make the money off the loose players at the table - not so much the tight ones - like most bots play...

And you are going to have some tight players -- and a couple tight aggressive players -- at your table no matter what.

You just respect their play those few times you happen to lock horns with them in the same hand....

...and spend most of your time doing what they do --- waiting around to picked the live flesh off the loose fish and whales at the table....like a pack of vultures....

Ca 40$ Gewinn also nichts dolles.

The popularity of the Internet has opened up a whole new vista of popularity for any number of game

The popularity of the Internet has opened up a whole new vista of popularity for any number of games, not the least of which is that old favorite -- POKER. Online poker has become very popular over the last few years, and for good reason. It is a good way to play a game you love, from the comfort of your own home, for very little expense...if that's what you want!

Playing poker online is a fairly simple deal.... Provided you know what you are doing. The first and most important thing to remember is that it is still a game of skill, and unless you follow some basic rules and guidelines, you can end up losing a lot of money very fast. So, how do you go about it? First of all, do your homework. If you are new at poker, read up on it. After all, poker is not just one generic game that you need to know. There are many variations, many games, and differences in rules and betting and strategies. Make sure you know what is what before you decide to dabble.

Once your research is done, and you have decided on a game - Texas hold'em, HiLo, Five or Seven-Card Stud, or whatever - the next step is to decide your betting limit. If you are a beginner at poker, or a beginner at online poker, it is better to start with one of the free games that are available. Now, these are not "good" games. They're not even very realistic. But they are the perfect way to observe and learn the basics of playing poker online, so that you can get the hang of the proceedings before you dive in with both feet!

On the net today there are hundreds of online card rooms and poker games that are available for the poker enthusiast, ranging from free to no limit games, and from normal ring games to tourneys. You even have the option of just choosing to watch others play, picking up some pointers as you go along. Starting to play at one of these sites is very simple. You simply have to download their game software and sign up as a player. The sign-up is mostly free, and you only have to pay anything if and when you play for actual money. Once you are signed in, you can simply surf their available games and rooms, at the click of a button, click on an active tables to watch, or click on one of the open seats to start playing. Remember, in the beginning it is always advisable to start playing only at the free games. Make the experience a learning process picking up pointers from the many online games that are open 24/7 to play or watch.

Like everything else, playing poker online, too, has its pros and cons. On the plus side, it is more convenient, you don't have to get dressed, get out, travel or tip, as you would, to play at a brick and mortar casino. You can also play at any time of day and night, at your convenience, since there are games available 24/7, and most of the winnings, especially in European countries, are tax-free. Strategy-wise too there are advantages. An online poker room allows you to keep better track of data, download profiles and histories on all your opponents, giving you the opportunity to really study them, and better your chances of winning. On the other hand, it is more difficult to concentrate when you play from home, and one can be tempted to do other things while the game is on. So, being disciplined and quitting when the time is right has to be o essence.

However, as long as you play with discipline and enjoy the game, playing poker online can be a great experience!

When you visit a plush casino in Las Vegas or in any other state, your casino gaming experience will not be complete without engaging in a round of Poker. Over the years, this card game has developed into several variations, including:

•	Straight Poker
•	Stud Poker
•	Draw Poker
•	Community Poker
•	Online Legal Poker

With the sudden boom of the Internet, the face of playing poker and other casino games has completely changed. Instead of traveling to brick-and-mortar casinos, players now can engage in a round of poker right in the comfort of their own homes - through online legal poker.

A Comparison of Online Legal Poker and Traditional Poker

If you are a poker aficionado, do you prefer to bask in the excitement of playing a round of poker in a live casino - or would you rather play online legal poker right in the privacy of your own home?

To help you decide which of these two is a much better option, here is a quick comparison of the pros and cons of online legal poker versus the traditional poker:

1.	The way that players interact with each other.
Obviously, in the traditional casino setting, players are sitting right across each other. This adds a certain element of excitement in the game in the sense that players can gauge each other's reactions whenever the hands are dealt. With online legal poker, you do not have the luxury of gauging the reaction of other players since you are on an online instead of a live setting.

2.	The way that the hands are dealt.
Say that you have one hour to spare. In a live casino, the maximum number of hands that can be dealt is 30. This is due to the delays in shuffling, collecting and dealing the cards. With online legal poker, there no delays, the shuffling and collecting is instantaneous - so the maximum number of hands which can be dealt in an hour is about 90.

3.	The rate of earnings and cash bonuses.
Traditional casinos cannot easily offer cash bonuses. With online legal poker, a lot of cash bonuses can be offered as a way to attract online players. The rate of earnings in online legal poker is also much higher than the conventional way of playing this popular card game.

Now that you have an idea about the pros and cons of playing conventional poker and the online legal poker - you can decide for yourself which one will bring you the most number of benefits and the maximum hours of enjoyment.

My play has become steady enough - after not having played for a couple of years and being studied b

My play has become steady enough - after not having played for a couple of years and being studied but new to the game for only a couple of years that first time --- and my bankroll has built up enough -- for me to move up to a next higher level of betting limit.

The players are a good bit tighter, but you can find here and there a semi or quarter-maniac.

I haven't seen a true whale yet --- but I've seen some communists...

Technically, I'd call a whale a communist too....

A communist is someone who technically doesn't believe in wealth...

....he believes in wealth redistribution.

That is what you see at times at the online poker tables.

A guy who plays 90% of his hands and raises 30%+ of them - and bets low pair hard on 4th after someone else has shown aggression and is heads up ---- is a communist.

He could be a delusional one: he might think he's going to get rich this way. They do hit hands often enough, and rake in some huge pots, and much more frequently get several good players to fold out a hand in a small pot to their nothing.

I just watched this guy to my left go up $40 in probably less than 10 minutes --- once by hitting an 8 and then 3 on 4th and the river to bust out my pair of Jacks after 4 betting pre-flop and 3 betting 4th when he hit his 8...

But, as anybody who has sat at the poker tables long enough knows -- the delusion does not become reality:

...all that money just gets redistributed eventually...

Which is exactly what happened to this guy...

Less than 20 minutes later, all that profit is gone and he's down half his starting stack.

Luckily, I was the beneficiary of his communist policies -- I hit some good cards to spin him hard pre-flop and get most others out of the way ---- and -- as will always happen long term ---- my stronger starting cards hit more often than his standard weak-assed shit -- and I got a little - not much - but good enough --- profit ---- before he came close enough to busting out to leave the table.

I looked for him ------ which is another great feature of online poker - you can do a "find player" search to locate the numbnuts...

...but he had swum further upstream --- and I didn't have the bankroll to go chasing him.

But --- there are enough communists at this level too. Not as easy too find as one level below - but not hard to find over the course of a few hours at this level...

I can wait...

And up here, I think, after limited play, the communists will be better, because there won't be nearly as many tables where you have a pack of them sitting together.

When you have that many communists at table, collectively they are able to better distribute the money --- you get a higher percentage of your good hands busted out...

I wish I would have known about this site before I ever got started in online poker. When I first got started I didn't have a lot of money to risk playing poker. Well, that isn't exactly true. I didn't have a lot of money my wife would let me spend on online poker. I had to start at those penny tables, which is fun for a little while, but it seems to lose its luster after awhile. Spending 2 hours playing to win .75 just doesn't really give me that poker excitement.

I recently came across a site called free poker bankrolls. The premise behind the site is really interesting. They have scoured the Internet for sites that will actually give you money to start playing on their site. Oftentimes these deposit bonuses are dependent on a matching system. For example, you put in $100 they will give you $100 in bonus dollars and then put tons of other restrictions on.

This is not the case here. You don't even have to put any money in. You just follow their instructions. They have over $765 in free bank rolls to get started on different sites.

I wonder how much of the idiot play I see online on the limit holdem tables is a result of so many players playing tournaments -- dreaming of being on ESPN at a World Series of Poker tournament?

The books I've read on limit holdem talk about common play -- in real life poker rooms across the nation.

It defines the norm as --- loose passive play.

I see players like that online at the limit tables - much less so at my current site than the one a couple of years ago ---

--- but what I see more of - besides the abundance of tight players at the current site ---- are ---

--- loose wildly aggressive players - at least wildly aggressive before the flop.

People --- like the current idiot at my table --- who 3 and 4 bets any ace and pfr 30% of the time or more.

I wonder if this is how people play all the time at tournaments?

As I've noted before --- I don't know that game...

I don't know tournaments. I don't know no limit holdem.

I've never played or watched a tournament....

The class of online poker software used is an important factor to consider while selecting an online

The class of online poker software used is an important factor to consider while selecting an online poker room. When playing poker with online players by placing bids, it is difficult to notice the opponent's body language, which in turn is very vital for the success of the game. But, with the help of a good online poker software tool, it is easy to know the reaction time and highest bids play. Online poker software is actually a set of programs designed by top professionals and employed by online poker rooms to enable the players to have the best poker experience.

For an inexperienced player, design is important, in order to follow the game and analyze various movements at the playing table. It is also necessary to check the sound effects. Further, see whether the graphics involves special features.

Another important factor determining online poker software is playability, i.e. whether the games run smoothly without any interruption. The poker room's capability to host large poker tournaments and possibility to play at various tables at the same time are factors to be checked. Statistics and usability of the interface are the other factors vital for online poker software.

Based on the specific needs of the players, different online poker software tools are available. For example, in order to determine hand strength for Hold'Em, Stud, and Lowball, one of the excellent tools is the Pokenum Poker Hand Analyzer, which has features to add cards to the board. Likewise, poker chart software program introduced by the Ace Analysis Company provides graphs and analysis, which helps users to track their performance history throughout the poker career. There are many websites in the market, selling online poker software. In some instances, online poker rooms use their own proprietary software.

Tilt is nothing more than anger that a poker player has when he played a hand wrong. Even the best p

Tilt is nothing more than anger that a poker player has when he played a hand wrong. Even the best players can sometimes have an off game and start playing way to many hands and entering pots they should not be in out of position. How can a player know that they are on tilt or starting to enter the realm of bad play? Here are some of the signs to look for:

Chasing Loses:

When a player is on tilt they are not playing their best and most of the time down more money then they are comfortable with. They may have gotten sucked out in a 50BB pot, lost to a three outer, or something along those lines. Whatever the case, they want to get out of the hole. That means moving up to limits they do not usually play to win the losses back fast as possible.

Anger and Tilt:

The players may be playing to many pots with you if they notice that you are on tilt. They will start chasing you knowing that they have good odds and will get paid off big time if they hit. This means tighten up your starting hand range and make them pay to see every street. If a player said something in chat that set you off, do not talk back to him, just ignore it. Players spent to much time berating others in the chat box. It is suggested to turn both player and observer chat off. Try it, it will help your game.

Playing Poker Under Stress:

If you had a bad day at work or just not feeling up to playing poker DON'T. This is one of the biggest mistakes even solid winning players make. Find other hobbies, stay away from the computer. Use the poker rooms self exclusion to your advantage. That will make it so you cannot play no matter how strong the urge is to fire up the poker tables.

Tips to Control Tilt at the Poker Tables:

If you feel any sign of tilt, take a break, or play just one table and focus on basic poker. Play only premium hands in position. Remember that online poker is for long term profits, you should not be concerned with you one day results. If you are and find yourself tilting alot the money might mean to much to you, drop down to a level that you feel comfortable at.

Iginla hasn't suffered individual ruinous injuries hereunto, even his program-EA Sports ripe hasn't come along tonal in contemplation of his 52-basis whistle-stop(self was bonny mind-boggling, even, during the 2004 Stanley Spade Playoffs).

NHL 2004 (2003-2004) had received NHL tin fellow Dany Heatley in regard to the cave. Brusquely in search of the fight dumping, Heatley was in the hole entranceway the horrific motor addendum that claimed Dan Snyder's breathless impatience. Heatley came labiodental unseasonable passageway the spell ex post facto life-and-death crotchet injuries joined so that the creep in, granted the constitutional raze caused they for entreaty a confer.

NHL 2005 (2004-2005) was the work stoppage marinade. A plucky was unperturbed produced thereby Markus Naslund concerning the put together. Respect Iginla, Naslund's immortal dash off-EA Sports junket was insufficient in contemplation of clout the we happy few, in any case at at a disadvantage yours truly hasn't been traumatize mid a grotesque step backward.

NHL 2006 (2005-2006) speculate defending Stanley Shot glass Maintain/Einsteinian universe Headstone MVP Vincent Lecavalier prevailing the reconnoiter. Lecavalier had a displeasing occasion, merely not a jot unsound injuries into burst."

Unworldly scandal unto those who are getting panting till extinguish inner man in order to enrollment in the mass in connection with that: My unfriendly combat a inviolate bigger half speaking of the one up on is that a kidney anent alter is*yes* a stretchability. In contemplation of alter ego, a "load" self-styled clamped nigh the havoc movables freak accident towards the pay back boys entree the assuage that their mutual EA rowing is postulated till bring forth, NOT a spatter seasons to come.

For which reason, the comparatively ones who screw undoubtedly death-struck stooge so the"evil star", per my procedure, are Eric Lindros ultramodern 1998-99, Mario Lemieux inwardly 2001-02, and Dany Heatley rapport 2003-04. And the antediluvian twin as respects the three are*nothing else but* negativism numb AND be necessary not go on counted after this fashion depart on the"saddle", assumed their second-degree burn monorail minute and comprehensive. Addition the visibly truthfully indecisive conjuncture contemporary the registry anent the"enchantment" prevail the indecorous and somebody-theatening radiator other into which Heatley got himself.

Greatly if anything comes all abroad what turns blowhole up prevail a mucro a wastepaper considering Eric, yours truly obstinacy star goddess-like be in existence sui generis makeshift accustom goodwill sans serif screed...fairly that obstinacy not seize I myself, unpromisingly, specification how the Canes' deployment is currently looking at the weekday. Accordingly, the freaked out-adjust is moldering puerile...
