Looks like it’s much more flexible than I thought, though it would still be easier just to support copy/paste of embed code (though, I understand why they don’t do it, for security reasons, etc.)

How many of these names can I come up with? Shrimp Franpi is not as good as Frandarin or Franchurian Duck, but it works, kinda. Dinner was DEElicious though. It was simple on a day that I didn't have time to prepare for tonight's meal and Scampi with Grilled Eggplant and Pasta was the optimal choice. The most time consuming part of the meal was the peeling and deveining of the shrimp.

I am having a tough time writing the blog each night with Phelps Phrenzy on the tube. Each night when I finish the dishes and sit down on the couch, it's Phelps time and I can't focus on anything but cheering him on. I think the whole world will be sad if he comes away from a race without a gold. I am working late on Saturday so I am going to have to remember to set up the DVR, although by the time I get home it will be on YouTube and elsewhere.

Ok, another gold, so now I can go back to talking food. Speaking of food. Did you know that Michael Phelps consumes 12,000 calories a day? And that in one race he burns 4000 calories? Those are difficult numbers to wrap my arms around -- pretty amazing.

Since we've seen Americans up on the medal stand so often each night, we get to hear the national anthem as many times. Do you remember the first night? The anthem was so weak and it was suddenly cut short. Since then I've noticed with each passing night the anthem seems to be getting stronger. The first night I was convinced that they were playing a recorded version, but in the ensuing nights something tells me it's live.

I'm going to end short tonight. Phelps is getting ready to get back into the pool and I've got other work to attend to before heading to bed. It's an early day at the store tomorrow nad I am hoping we will have air conditioning. It's warmed up and the humidity is back and it's time for the A/C to be on already! It's been over 2 weeks. I think we are nearing 3 weeks now and that is just unacceptable. The heat has made us all tires and lacking in patience and even focus. It's just generally not good for business, to say nothing about our health. So I am going to go to bed optimistic and planning to feel nice, chilled air by noon.

I'm just going to add a note about Justin.tv tonight. I haven't had much to say about the network, the problems, the lack of anything interesting, the copyrighted programming that continues to be broadcast, but tonight I want to point out that there appears to be no more Channel Bar. I thought it may have been a bug in the usual Thursday night install line up, but I am not so sure at this point. Although the guys had said that they were getting rid of the monkey, he appears to have made his way back with this.

You can see him in the upper left hand corner of the image. I'm wondering if this addition caused the problems tonight. Viewer counts were reset to zero, but they are back now. There was some discontent with the zeroed out counts among broadcasters. People seem to live and die by the viewer counts so there was some angst. I would be more worried about the channel bar disappearing. Without that bar, the only way to know who is broadcasting is to receive email, a Twitter message or to check in the directory. It will take some work for people to find broadcaster.

I'd like to see some communications from the team. I gave up talking about it months ago. If they are going to make major changes, what would it take to get the appropriate person on the team to publish a blog post about it to keep people informed? I'm wondering if USTREAM, BlogTV, LiveVideo or any of the other networks do a better job of this?

Does anyone know?
