This is the first year where I do not need to in-charge of any thing in a Leo project besides preparing a speech. Alright..I shall now let the pictures to do the talking. Before that, well done to the Incoming BOD in organising this installation succesfully..I would dance like mad if I didn't injured my knee..haha!

Esta frase não é minha, mas depois de ver o jogo do novo Benfica, percebi que ela se enquadrava perfeitamente neste artigo.

Passada que está uma época, fracassada, o Sport Lisboa e Benfica, partiu para o mercado de jogadores com o intuito de melhorar, o seu plantel.

Com a pré época quase a meio, reparo que para os lados de Benfica, um tremendo equivoco pode estar prestes a acontecer...

O Calcanhar de Aquiles do Benfica, não está, nem esteve na forma como ataca ou nos seus avançados, o grande problema do Benfica está na forma como defende, e como isso depois o prejudica quando têm de assumir o jogo e construir o seu momento atacante.

Dos quatro laterais que detém, para mim Jorge Ribeiro há muito que perdeu rotinas defensivas e é agora mais um médio interior ou ala, apenas Léo têm qualidade para representar um clube da dimensão do benfica, pois Nélson, Sepsi e Luis Filipe, são caricaturas que custam muito caro ao clube.

E os centrais?

Tenciona o Benfica, passar parte da época com o Katsouranis novamente a central?

Rui Costa disse que ainda pretende contratar 3 novos jogadores, então o Revienga, aconselha o director do clube da Luz que estes sejam todos defesas, um central de qualidade e com experiência de futebol europeu, um lateral direito que saiba defender coisa que nenhum dos que lá está sabe fazer e um para o lado esquerdo para poder lutar com Léo.

Caso queiram ser campeões, têm de melhorar, os lugares que levaram o clube ao fracasso na derradeira época, e esses lugares não foram na frente de ataque, mas sim na defesa.

Happy Solar Eclipse to the lucky Leos! A Solar Eclipse is on the docket, you might say, for Friday Aug. 2 at 6:12 am Eastern Time, at 9 degrees Leo. It’s right on the Ascendant in Washington, DC, by the way., so it has a special importance to the presidential race all the way to November. You may wonder whose chart benefits more from this eclipse, John McCain or Barack Obama? Look at the eclipse chart first. In Washington, it has 9 degrees Leo rising and 28 degrees Aries at the Midheaven. Saturn (Democrats) is in the second house at 7 degrees Virgo and Jupiter (Republicans) in the sixth house at 14 degrees Capricorn. The GOP will seize on health care reforms as an issue, but because they are beholden to the insurance companies (Capricorn) they are really for the status quo. The Dems will work the economic issues and emphasize how people are hurting in this recession.

Obama is affected by this eclipse because his Sun is very close to the eclipse degree, at 11 Leo. However, McCain’s Mars is close, too, at 12 degrees Leo, but because the eclipse Mercury is at 12 Leo, I suspect that McCain will go on the offensive and attack Obama and the Dem platform -- take note, tho, that McCain has been known for outrageous outbursts and this eclipse is goading him into another such outburst. (BTW it could be Hillary Clinton who goads him into this outburst; she knows how to push a guy’s buttons.) He could really shoot himself in the foot this fall or even in August. Personally I would think twice about putting such a man in charge of the red phone or the ‘football’. See also my recent article on the Obama birth chart.

You may have to discipline your feelings, or bite your tongue Tues. afternoon when someone else monopolizes the discussion. But Wed. afternoon your ideas find a better reception. You could have your sleep interrupted Thurs. morn; hope it doesn’t ruin your day. Some serious news could come in later that morning or midday. All in all, it sounds like this week has several changes of direction but you manage to keep everything together.

- July 23-Aug. 22 - The Sun conjuncts Mercury in Leo Tues. about 4 pm Eastern Time -- try not to dominate the conversation (don’t you hear your wife sigh?). The Moon enters Leo midday Thurs., and stays till Sat. afternoon. If you have to do an audition, presentation, or taping try to schedule it for early as possible Friday morn. Both Sun and Moon will be in Leo and you can knock them out their seats anyway. I see you up till the wee hours that night -- let’s hope you have to learn some lines for a callback. The Moon conjuncts Venus in Leo midday or early afternoon Sat. -- you look more attractive than usual, you receive a gift, your charms are irresistible, and you get the job, too. VIRGO

I am a Gemini. For quite a long time, I hesitated to tell anyone my sign of the Zodiac.  I had grown to feel ashamed of my astrological star sign.  Sadly, this shame was caused by judgmental and opinionated individuals who, when they became aware of my card carrying Gemini status, would launch the tale of their "dramastic" existence with their Gemini, punctuating with extra flair the parts of their story that illustrate how horrible their entire life experience had been with Gemini.  Then, as if that wasn't enough, they'd hurl their judgments of me cloaked as comparisons of course, by the time they were done, I felt like an inappropriate, over talkative, manipulative ass. I'd try to recover by saying, "But really, I'm just gregregarious." These ignorant and lost individuals have come to believe that Gemini's are not safe people to be around and have applied this judgment across the board for all Gemini's.

To know what it is these shallow individuals fear, I began a collection of sorts over the course of many years, which consists of an eclectic blend of varying degrees of opinions profiling that mysterious and dangerous Gemini! Here is my abridged version of my "Best of the Worst" Gemini profiles:

It is said that a Gemini will take either side of an argument, not because they feel strongly about their position, but simply for the fun of it .A Gemini is adaptable and flexible, and has an insatiable craving for a variety of distractions to gratify their quick, changeable minds. Self-expressive, to the world the Gemini is cheerful and optimistic, but those within the inner circle of the Gemini know that there is also an opposing moody side to the personality.

Independent, a Gemini will not be held down by anyone or any rules of society.  A Gemini craves the experiences one can gain through exploration of the world around us.  Change and freedom are sacred to the Gemini and it is incomprehensible to them to allow anyone to dictate their life.  I recall reading in Gemini personality profiles that a Gemini is a very interesting and exciting friend. They like to leave their "Gem was here! " on everyone they meet. They are known to be very flighty and can be expected to disappear for a long time as they meet new friends and discover new places. I have been kept wondering about the emotional balance of the many people who have expressed their refusal of the opportunity to get better acquainted with me. My partner finds what seems to be endless humor in the "traits" of a Gemini personality and he enjoys that I'm a Gemini. He is a Leo, and certainly has had judgment passed on the standard traits of his sign as well.  In my love for my partner, therein lies the end of my duality.  Together, he and I make a whole person.  I'm one.  He's one.  And together we are Christopher&Mark, referred to by some of our friends and acquaintances as "The Incredible's".  So how compatible are these two signs?

Both tend to find consensus on an emotional and mental level.  Leo feels he must always be the center of attraction but feels neglected when Gemini becomes absorbed elsewhere. We all know that there’s so much more to this pairing; much more than the quick version making up this blog. There are some very titillating highlights now shared, and after writing this, I don’t feel all that ashamed to be a Gemini anymore. Who wrote this blog anyway? Was it a Gemini? There’s one particular Leo/ Gemini duo that seems to be living up to their astrological reputations indeed!

I'm quite pleased about this - I've got a bit of a soft spot for Leo.  Not that I have any particularly Leonine friends or acquaintances, mind you.  (Perhaps that helps?) 

Back in the (not-too-distant) day when all I knew about astrology was via Linda Goodman's Love Signs, Milton Black's little yearly sun-sign booklets and Athena Starwoman's columns in Woman's Day, the descriptions of Leo were the ones that leapt off the page for me.  That's Leo: larger than life, golden, lit from within by its ruler the Sun.  A natural performer.  At home in the limelight. 

As a shy young Piscean, I was a little afraid of Leo who would, I thought, overpower me.  Fizzle me out (not that I had a lot of fizzle to start with).  The negatives attributed to Leo go something like this: self-centred.  Arrogant.  Selfish.  Overbearing.  To me this all sounded terrifying.

Now, though, I rather like the idea of basking in the fiery glow of Leo.  I'm ready to be charmed, and to charm in return.  To catch some of that lust for life.  Inject a little drama into the humdrum. 

Bring it on, luscious Leo.  Bring it on.

They are fabulous. Well, for the most part. I've met some pretty obnoxious ones, but I don't let them tarnish my love of Leos. One of my best friends is a Leo, and she is among good company: Madonna, J.K. Rowling, Bill Clinton, Ginger Spice, Elliott Smith. Leos are pretty powerful people. They are the most charismatic of the zodiac. The world revolves around the Sun, so of course many Leos believe the world revolves around them. Obviously it doesn't, but people definitely gravitate towards them.

Of course just like on one of those hot, humid, muggy days you just want the Sun to go away, Leos can burn you up as well. Eventually you just need a break from them. Luckily they know when to bow out, and it's usually to go away to reinvent themselves only to sparkle even more later and with more pizazz!

Leos would be apt to where a shirt that says, "Leos do it best," but they don't. They, however, do a heck of a job making you believe they do.
