"Cursed is the man who leads the blind astray on the road." Then all the people shall say, "Amen!"

Romans 12:2
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

1 John 3:18
Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.

1 John 5:3
This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome,

Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law.

2 Timothy 3:

14But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Msamudio, you keep on inserting your link in this blog, but then again, you haven't answered, by way of biblical truth, why you inserted the word "alone" in your creed, for example, "faith alone saves".

Sola fide = By Faith Alone

You are adding this word "alone" which even in context does not say that faith alone saves! And how come you need to explain several chapters and verses of the Holy Bible if you really hold on to that belief?

2 Peter 2:

12But these men blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like brute beasts, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like beasts they too will perish.

13They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad daylight. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their pleasures while they feast with you. 14With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed—an accursed brood!

15They have left the straight way and wandered off to follow the way of Balaam son of Beor, who loved the wages of wickedness. 16But he was rebuked for his wrongdoing by a donkey—a beast without speech—who spoke with a man's voice and restrained the prophet's madness.

17These men are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them. 18For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human nature, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error.

19They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity—for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him.

20If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. 21It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. 22Of them the proverbs are true: "A dog returns to its vomit,"[f]and, "A sow that is washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud."

You are depraved of knowledge and understanding and here you insist of what you know. You have a complete disregard of what of the bible says in context and in spirit as obviously shown from your posts. You pick up verses and explain it using your human ideas even if the explanation is found on the verse itself or the next verse. Would that mean, Msamudio, that you do not really know what you were doing, or your teachers, when they came up with your man-made creeds?

1 Timothy 1:7
They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm.

Colossians 2:22
(which all refer to things destined to perish with use)--in accordance with the commandments and teachings of men?

Are you not comfortable on your creed, "faith alone" for your " salvation", Msamudio? If you really hold on to your man-made creed/teaching, is it not that your creed "Christ Alone" enough for your church to be saved?

1 Corinthians 4:6
Now, brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, "Do not go beyond what is written." Then you will not take pride in one man over against another.

Why do you keep on writing several posts, then? Why don't you just cut and paste the sidebar of your blog that says all about "faith alone" instead of cutting and pasting the teachings of different historical person? That is the point, you found the need to explain the basis of your human ideas and for that, you continously are deviating from the truth; consequently, adulterating the Holy Scripture.

1 Thessalonians 1:3
We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

You know very well that we need faith, hope and love for our salvation. And the greatest of these three is love.

1 Corinthians 13:13
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Thus, your creed are nothing but false teachings that results to false hope! It has repercussion, it is a precedent to hypocrisy, like that of the belief of "once saved always saved"!

Luke 12:1
Meanwhile, when a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling on one another, Jesus began to speak first to his disciples, saying: "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

Matthew 23:15
"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are.

You cannot place yourself in a war with just faith; more so, with the wrong faith in the spiritual war.

1 Thessalonians 5:8
But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.

Satan does that, he has the wrong faith, he has the false hope, and no love.

Jeremiah 23:16
This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD.

But should you continue to preach other gospels coming from your imagination, The Church of God is here to cast down your imaginations.

2 Corinthians 10:5
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

The Church of God is holding on to the truth, the gospel, the teachings of Jesus Christ.

John 7:17
" If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is of God or whether I speak from Myself.

It is in the teachings that false teachers are caught lying and deceiving people, like that of written by C. S. Lewis and those who believe in his work: who thought that they were directed by God.

Philippians 2:12
Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,

Romans 3:27
Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

Imagine how many people you have decieved? How many people alive and dead, both deceived; and being deceived?

1 Corinthians 14:26
What is the outcome then, brethren? When you assemble, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation Let all things be done for edification.

But enough is enough, The Church of God mentioned in the Holy Bible has given birth to members, those who cleaved to the "good": we are here to proclaim God, reading the gospel to people: not the other gospels that came out from the imaginations of people who knows nothing, but The Gospel of God with all wisdom.

Colossians 1:28
We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ.

Please read the verse below if you can read the underlying message for the false preachers: Pay close attention to your false teaching because if you continue to preach this, this will ensure your eternal damnation and those who hears you.

1 Timothy 4:16
Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you.

By hearing the original doctrines, you will understand.

Titus 1:9
holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict.

Hebrews 6:1
Therefore leaving the elementary teaching about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,

Msamudio, you know very well too that the blind that leads the blind, will both fall into the ditch.

Luke 6:39
He also told them this parable: "Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit?

Matthew 15:14
Leave them; they are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit."

Even the blind that lead is accursed, the first verse above tells it all. Leave the blind leaders if you are a follower.

Seek and you shall find. If there is someone out there who was formerly blind but now can see, will he not talk about what he experienced? Will he not tell about what he heard? Will he not spoke of that person who opened his eyes to see the truth in the Holy Bible? Indeed, there is someone there who is not blind of the teachings, let us ask him of the teachings to avoid the pit.

Isaiah 42:16
I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.

Isaiah 43:8

Brother Eliseo F. Soriano, also known as Brother Eli, whenever he preaches, reads the Bible. Questions are answered by the Bible (See video below).

(One of the audience was Jonathan Hudson of Los Angeles, California who asked Brother Eli, “Can God commit sin?” Bro. Eli answered his question not from his own capacity, but from biblical verses that was inspired by the Holy Spirit of God)

His work and manner of preaching fits another prophecy:

Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Though I am nothing, even the lowest and weakest part of the Church of God, let me give you some more verses of the Holy Bible. Jesus said in Luke 21:32-36,

I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap.

For it will come upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth.

Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.

Discernment is very important to be wise:

Deuteronomy 32:

26 I said I would scatter them
and blot out their memory from mankind,

27 but I dreaded the taunt of the enemy,
lest the adversary misunderstand
and say, ‘Our hand has triumphed;
the LORD has not done all this.’ “

28 They are a nation without sense,
there is no discernment in them.

29 If only they were wise and would understand this and discern what their end will be!

30 How could one man chase a thousand,
or two put ten thousand to flight,
unless their Rock had sold them,
unless the LORD had given them up?

31 For their rock is not like our Rock,
as even our enemies concede.

Genesis 19:

1 The two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gateway of the city. When he saw them, he got up to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground. 2 “My lords,” he said, “please turn aside to your servant’s house. You can wash your feet and spend the night and then go on your way early in the morning.”
”No,” they answered, “we will spend the night in the square.”

3 But he insisted so strongly that they did go with him and entered his house. He prepared a meal for them, baking bread without yeast, and they ate. 4 Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. 5 They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.”

6 Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him 7 and said, “No, my friends. Don’t do this wicked thing. 8 Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don’t do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof.”

9 “Get out of our way,” they replied. And they said, “This fellow came here as an alien, and now he wants to play the judge! We’ll treat you worse than them.” They kept bringing pressure on Lot and moved forward to break down the door.

10 But the men inside reached out and pulled Lot back into the house and shut the door. 11 Then they struck the men who were at the door of the house, young and old, with blindness so that they could not find the door.

12 The two men said to Lot, “Do you have anyone else here—sons-in-law, sons or daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them out of here, 13 because we are going to destroy this place. The outcry to the LORD against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it.”

Genesis 19:

21 He said to him, “Very well, I will grant this request too; I will not overthrow the town you speak of. 22 But flee there quickly, because I cannot do anything until you reach it.” (That is why the town was called Zoar. [f] ) 23 By the time Lot reached Zoar, the sun had risen over the land. 24 Then the LORD rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah—from the LORD out of the heavens. 25 Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, including all those living in the cities—and also the vegetation in the land. 26 But Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt. 29 So when God destroyed the cities of the plain, he remembered Abraham, and he brought Lot out of the catastrophe that overthrew the cities where Lot had lived.

1 Corinthians 13

1If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.

11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

If you will read the Holy Bible in its entirety, you will learn that a person has no right to kill another person. How come then that in some intances God ordered the Israelites to kill some groups of people? Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

A person's basic instict is to defend oneself or to fight when life is being threatened. However, a Christian's instinct is different: once his life is threatened, it's time for him to flee. As it was said, the law was made for the lawbreakers.

1 Timothy 1:9
We also know that law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious; for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers,

Christians are guided by the teachings of Jesus Christ. It prevents them from getting to the point of breaking the law.

For the lawbreakers, they cannot accept the teachings of Jesus Christ. One might have noticed that majority of these people are the one ranting and accusing God of transgressing the law. They have no common sense. They could have separated the facts from the lies if they want to by studying the Holy Bible; however, we should always be guided by the Holy Bible itself on how to study and analyze it.

By the way, some people keep blaming God for the killings suffered by people in the past, like that of the Holy Grail. But they are barking on the wrong tree. I am telling now, they are wrong blaming God. The Holy Grail is unbiblical. The search for the Holy Grail is composed of people who pretends to be Christians because in works they deny God. They do not understand the doctrine written by the Apostles, or because of conceit and hard headedness, they created their own doctrine.

Matthew 22:29
Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.

James 4:2
You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God.

Yes, we cannot deny that in the Old Testament, there are verses containing histories of people being killed. And we learned about these events by reading the Holy Bible. The problem in understanding the events starts when there is no one to guide and explain them to us. Therefore, many people more often than not were getting the wrong impression about God, Christians, and the Israelites. They thought that God is cruel by instructing the Israelites to kill some groups of people, even the babies and kids.

One might notice that some of these people are unwilling to change. Accepting change is one way of comprehending God biblical. Changing our minds can bring us closer to God. If you hate God, have you thought for a second why you feel that way? Who taught you about God in the first place? Who read to you the Holy Bible? Are you competent to read the Holy Bible? Or is the one reading the Holy Bible to you competent enough to guide you? If you are using what is written in the Holy Bible to question God, maybe, you can stop there and read the answer from that book too! Why were there wars and deaths in the first place? Who were killed in the battle? Who were the gods involved? Who were the people involved? Do the people killed, including their families, deserved death to the point that even their properties were destroyed?

Those who taught us about God of the Holy Bible, do they know that God is a living God? Do they know whom God considers alive? Did they teach you that even if you are alive, living in materialism, God considers you dead? My questions are not enough to know the reasons why there were deaths in the past, but the Holy Bible has answers.

There are events that happened already, but can we change them? Definitely, we cannot change the past. But Christians were given hope for the future, the moment they seek the answers to their questions. Does the Holy Bible really contains answers to my questions? Where did I read those events? What were the reasons those events occured?

Actually, if you will study the Holy Bible, you will discover that even your questions were asked already by people ahead of you since time immemorial. As you go along reading the Holy Bible, you will find, even yourself, as if you are one of those people: their character, their personality, their ignorance, their thoughts, etc. Maybe, you will see yourself in the shoes of the characters in the Holy Bible. You might even find yourself as a Pharisee asking Jesus Christ of his Authority. Actually, if you are really seeking the truth, you will be dismayed to the Pharisees who wasted the opportunity to ask Jesus Christ. They waited for the Messiah, and now that He is around, they thrown stones at Him. They did not ask more important questions about life, but instead they feared that the authority they hold on shall be taken away from them. Now, you realize that it is too late for that Pharisee, but not for you. Your questions have answers. Your questions are written already in the Holy Bible. You just need guidance in order for you to see for yourself that the Holy Bible is complete; more so, when it concerns your salvation.

Abraham is a good example of those who did not waste the opportunity of salvation. He know a little bit of God. But the little things of God is incomparable to what we have. He believed God gave him Isaac. When the time came that God asks for Isaac as an offering, Abraham obeyed.

Genesis 22:

1And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.

2And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

3And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.

Even Isaac obeyed his father without hesitations. He also knows that God should be followed first. Isaac, as the only child of Abraham during that time, there is a possibility that his father brings him everywhere he goes and teaches him things about his God. Abraham might have shown him too how to offer sacrifices to God. Isaac grew to be righteous too as he was exposed and well accustomed to his father's tradition. The proof is on the conversation between Abraham and Isaac.

Genesis 22:
7 Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, "Father?" "Yes, my son?" Abraham replied. "The fire and wood are here," Isaac said, "but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?"

8And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

9And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.

10And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.

Isaac knew from that very moment what awaits him when his father started placing him on the wood and binding him up. Does that ring a bell? I remember Jesus, but he knew what shall happen to him even before he was nailed on the cross. Nevertheless, he knew that he is the lamb to be sacrificed and did not object.

Revelation 1:3
Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

Bro Eli reads to us that God has sent His Son to save the Church of God, including those who affiliated in it. Bro Eli is a competent minister of the Church of God. God loves the Church of God, and we continually pray for God's mercy and guidance.

2 Corinthians 3:6

God commanded Jesus Christ to bring the Good News of Salvation. One of the commandments to Christians taught by the Apostles, as commanded to them by Jesus Christ is, to love your enemy.

Today, the proverb, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth is passe.

Deuteronomy 19:21
Show no pity: life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.

It is outmoded, old already and needed a new one. Even so, God still wants all men to be saved. God commanded that Christians to love one another and to respect people.

Matthew 5

Thus, if you continue to have doubts in your heart about Christianity, then it is high time for you to search your heart and seek the love that you have but never knew.

Ash Wednesdays and the hypocrites

Matthew 15:3
Jesus replied, "And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?

Mark 7:

6He replied, "Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written:
" 'These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
7They worship me in vain;
their teachings are but rules taught by men.' 8You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men."

9And he said to them: "You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions!

Is Ash Wednesday another Catholic tradition to commemorate Jesus' suffering? How cruel is this? They seemed unaware as they exhibit themselves, everywhere wearing this shocking symbol of treachery...violence!

Colossians 2:8
See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.

Ash Wednesday is a day that was taught by priests not by God. That day can be compared to a horror flick that you watch in the middle of the night. It seems to symbolize and commemorate how, after crucifying Jesus on the cross, the Roman Catholic Church cremates him and put his remains on the forehead of the catholic followers. You can search the Internet how this ash is made and all sorts of exercises done but I believe the commemoration being made is wrong as the bible imparts, because it is based on human commands and teachings.

Colossians 2 (NIV)

18Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions. 19He has lost connection with the Head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.

20Since you died with Christ to the basic principles of this world, why, as though you still belonged to it, do you submit to its rules: 21"Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!"? 22These are all destined to perish with use, because they are based on human commands and teachings. 23Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.

But when you ask them of what ash wednesday is all about, they will say that this day is a day for fasting and abstinence. Expect that those Catholics around will then, even without asking their opinion, will begin to discuss how they will or have organized or scheduled their meals. But what does the bible really says about fasting and abstinence?

In Isaiah 58, you will read:

1 "Shout it aloud, do not hold back.
Raise your voice like a trumpet.
Declare to my people their rebellion
and to the house of Jacob their sins.

2 For day after day they seek me out;
they seem eager to know my ways,
as if they were a nation that does what is right
and has not forsaken the commands of its God.
They ask me for just decisions
and seem eager for God to come near them.

3 'Why have we fasted,' they say,
'and you have not seen it?
Why have we humbled ourselves,
and you have not noticed?'
"Yet on the day of your fasting, you do as you please
and exploit all your workers.

4 Your fasting ends in quarreling and strife,
and in striking each other with wicked fists.
You cannot fast as you do today
and expect your voice to be heard on high.

5 Is this the kind of fast I have chosen,
only a day for a man to humble himself?
Is it only for bowing one's head like a reed
and for lying on sackcloth and ashes?
Is that what you call a fast,
a day acceptable to the LORD ?

6 "Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke?

7 Is it not to share your food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—
when you see the naked, to clothe him,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?

8 Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness will go before you,
and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.

9 Then you will call, and the LORD will answer;
you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.
"If you do away with the yoke of oppression,
with the pointing finger and malicious talk,

10 and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
then your light will rise in the darkness,
and your night will become like the noonday.

11 The LORD will guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.

12 Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins
and will raise up the age-old foundations;
you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls,
Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.

What does the bible imparts about fasting? Do we exhibit this holy work for people to see?

Matthew 6:1-6

1"Be careful not to do your 'acts of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

2"So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 3But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

5"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Matthew 6:16-21

16"When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 17But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, 18so that it will not be obvious to men that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Are you a hypocrite? I stopped being one.

Luke 16:15
He said to them, "You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of men, but God knows your hearts. What is highly valued among men is detestable in God's sight.

Should I be wrong on what I said, I ask for forgiveness and may I refer you to our website where there are clips about the doctrine of fasting and abstinence found in the bible as discussed by our Presiding Minister, Brother Eliseo Soriano.

And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

The above verse says that Jesus was talking about a commandment to the Israelites, thus Israel is concerned on this that the Lord their God is one Lord. Next, what do you think "is" and "one Lord" means? Does it means that God is a Lord too? If sufi786 is insinuating that God is the only Lord, then, it should be the one written on that verse. But it is not the case. It just says about God as, God is one Lord, He is a Lord too. What does Lord means? The Holy Bible says in the sight of the Father there is no greater than Him and He remains the only Lord and you cannot compare him to anyone. But, He has the prerogative to make a Lord too! The God of Israel in fact is a Lord of Lords. Even Jesus Christ is a Lord but not higher than his Father. It means that Jesus has a Lord too, his Father. And Jesus never introduced a lord other than the Lord that Israelites and Gentiles must learn of, the God of Israel!
