Police received a call at 9.15 am about things being flung from a seventh-floor flat, littering a playground and void deck below.

Two fire engines from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) arrived at about 11.30 am and the rescuers quickly laid out an inflatable cushion at the foot of the block, as scores of residents looked on in suspense.

See, I'm not those kind who's so patient, they can sit in front of the computer for ages waiting for the photos to upload. And being a typical Lyndel that I am, I usually don't post stuff that happpened during the week or the day. But today, I'll be a typical girly(all thanks to Perlin whom I'm gonna start referring to as PT from today onwards) blogger who will blog post pictures that happened this week. Actually thanks to Hajar who uploaded the photos online lar. heh.

Okay. So here goes.

Yesterday was SRC's (Singapore Recreation Club) 4-a-side tournament at the Padang which the 6 of us were informed of at the last minute that we are confirmed playing. I had to wake up at 6 in the morning and grumble my way to City Hall. But it turned out alright thanks to the wonderful team.

And I'm still wondering... Why does she even dare to do that "peace" thing next to two cool kids???

And of course, the guys. Having decided that the previous pose was the most strategic shot, they decided to stick with it.

One thing I observed about hockey, or any sports for that matter is that when you're playing defence, you have all the rights to be aggressive and protect your area but once you become the attacker or striker when you're in the opponent's territory, you become very vulnerable. I've always felt that be it netball or hockey which I've been playing Attacker. And it goes the same way with our spiritual lives. We have all the rights to defend our beliefs but once we step outside that boundary, we become vulnerable to the dark side... i don't know.

After hockey, had to rush to Yio Chu Kang for project. As usual had laughing session with PT and JT (whom I suppose will be reading this page watching out for their names to be mentioned).

Sooo. Anyhoo, I had to wake up early today for music practise for service. I tell you man, my limbs were aching from hockey and I gotta wake up early to set up the equipment and stuff. But I managed to pull myself outta bed and got there on time. (I can only give thanks to God for the strength that He's been giving me this while) Music practice.. Couldn't play the first song which was really fast. Need more practise. Kelvin had to take over. But overall, I thought it was alright. Sermon today was thought-provoking about waiting on God's answer and being patient.  After church service, had to go down to do some community service near the church. Winston, Calvin and I went into this Uncle's house to give food and talk to him. Apparently this uncle who's living in this one-room unit has been really depress and his knee was aching and was really glad that we came to visit him. So we prayed for him.

Sometimes, despite you're exhaustion when you're doing it all for God and your focus is on Him, the tiredness just go away.
