so i hope some of you have been checking out some of mark's music that i have posted, spread the word, and hopefully we'll get mark to write/record some new stuff. speaking of music, i've got a huge itunes library and to be honest i would guess that over half of the stuff i've never heard, so what im doing right now is putting my playlist on random and listening to a bunch of stuff i've never listened too. just got finished listening to a song called "Of All The Gin Joints In All The World" by Fall Out Boy, have to admit that was a good song, i may really like this idea of turning on random stuff, and now it has lead to a good old coldplay song that i like (Speed of Sound).

heading back up to warsaw for the rest of the week/weekend tomorrow, gonna play golf at stonehenge tomorrow with some business guys and hope to hit up the lake at nights and on the weekend. i feel like im hardly here at my new place in indy with all the travel i've been doing. once football season starts here in a few weeks and it starts to cool off i'm sure i'll be here a lot more instead of leaving for the weekends.

so being here in a new city as a single guy, and not having a bunch of friends (got about 3 that i see 1/2 times a week), i decided to look into one of those singles clubs. yeah i know, tough to admit but hey im being honest. i looked into one called high life adventures as i had heard of it in chicago and saw some ad's for it here in indy. so the deal is they setup like 30 events a month you can sign up to go to for a fee per event. (sweet Foo Fighters just came on) so to become a member of this club they bring you in for an interview which sketched me out a little bit but hey i'll go with the flow. they said i would be a great addition and would fit in just fine. then they give me the schpeal (sp?) about all the stuff they do and explain how it works, then they drop the bomb. i'm expecting you know some monthly fee of like 20-30 bucks a month plus costs of events, NOPE, not even close. they wanted me to pay a fee of something like 1200 bucks for one year, PLUS a fee of 20 bucks a month, and the cost of each event!! my jaw hit the floor, my country club membership back home doesn't even cost me that much. the chick who was interviewing me acted shocked that i didn't want to pay this, she tried to equate it to something like "well you say you spend around 60 bucks a week going out with your friends, its cheaper than that". i'm thinking well yeah, but just because i'm joining a club doesn't mean im ditching my friends that i have here and am not going out with them anymore. rediculous in my opinon, it may be a nice club and a good way to meet new people, but i sure as hell don't need to drop that kind of money and sign some contract to make friends and maybe meet a girl, good lord. the end of the interview was funny, after telling this girl for the 8th time that i'm not willing to pay that kind of money she gives up and gets real short and pissed at me.

speaking of shady contracts, never sign up at bally's if you are looking for a month-to-month contract that you can break at any time, they are the biggest bunch of scammers in the world and i hope they go out of business (they are in big financial trouble), and i hope the people that run that company go to jail for a long time. i had a guy look me in the face and say yes you can cancel this membership at any time, only to find out when i tried to cancel the membership as i was joining a gym at work that i couldn't and was stuck in it for 2 years, it goes on and on from there with a whole bunch of lies, but i can't even stand to think about it as i can seriously feel my blood pressure start to rise when i think about it.

just heard some good Beastie Boys - Sabotage on the iTunes party, and now on to an Oasis song i haven't heard but i'm liking what i hear so far. so i just checked my twitter and see that i have no more followers, come on guys. for those of you who don't know what twitter is, you should check it out, its pretty cool. pretty much is just like "your status" on facebook, you just update what you are doing. you can also "follow" certain people so that when they update you can have twitter notify you of what they are doing. you can update it via text message, and they will update you on whoever you decide via text message, its sweet. check it out and start using it, and start following me @purowdy

ooh, Oasis song is ending, whats up next.... and the winner is Beach Boys, definitely a different genre but hey, these guys were good.

so i'm going to a smashing pumpkins concert next tuesday down in louisville, those of you that know me know thats a big deal. here is the problem, i have 2 tickets and can't find anybody to go with me. if you are reading this and are interested in going please let me know, free ticket and ride if you can get yourself to indy. i'm more than willing to give anybody the extra ticket if they want to go, just want somebody to go with so i'm not stuck going by myself. if i have to i will to go see one hell of a rock show, if you haven't seen a pumpkins concert ever, you are missing out. (nice got Dave on now playing two step, this random thing really is a good idea)

man i feel like i could keep writing about stuff for a long time but you guys are probably sick of reading this one so i think i'll call it for now, who knows i may get inspired later and write some more, thanks for checking in if you made it this far. peace out my friends and go watch some aqua teen hunger force or open up iTunes and put your music on random and see what you come up with.

Usually when someone talks about women's sports I scoff jokingly, saying no one goes to women's sports. I feel I should probably stop this, because the fact is sadly true. I heard about this before but only recently received an e-mail about the UT women's basketball game tomorrow night.

This is what the e-mail basically said.

That has to be the saddest thing ever, because yea, I'm sure tons o' people will be there, because even with a season pass that ticket is 85 bucks. That could buy you the four cases of beer you'd drink on that road trip alone. But the basketball team will know that all those extra yahoos are there just to score a ticket for more men's sports.

So go to the game, enter the drawing for your ticket, but go to support them as well. They just beat No. 10 Oklahoma on the road so go see them beat Tech tomorrow.

Also, go make fun of what they think is a blog. Only Erneisha Bailey's mom reads that thing.
