Die Fédération Internationale des Résistants (FIR) – Association Antifasciste, die über 50 Mitgliedsverbände in mehr als 20 europäischen Ländern und in Israel hat, grüßt alle Teilnehmer der heutigen Kundgebung gegen das europäische Rassistentreffen in Köln.

In den Reihen unserer Verbände befinden sich Widerstandskämpfer und Partisanen, ich selber gehörte den Partisanenverbänden in Belgien an, die gegen die deutsche Okkupation kämpften. (...)

Wir haben uns in unserer politischen Agenda geschworen, alles dafür zu tun, daß nie wieder Faschismus und nie wieder Krieg unser Land und Europa bedrohen. Und deshalb setzen wir uns mit aller Kraft ein gegen das Wiedererstarken von rassistischen Gruppen und Parteien in den verschiedenen Ländern Europas.

Ich komme aus Belgien und muß euch daher sicherlich nicht begründen, warum ich persönlich und unsere Organisationen sich aktiv einsetzen gegen solche rechten Aufmärsche. Seit vielen Jahren erleben wir die politische Propaganda des Vlaams Blok, der sich jetzt unter Filip Dewinter Vlaams Belang nennen muß. Diese Partei verkündet nicht nur rassistische Thesen, sondern ist auch massiv separatistisch. Vlaams Belang arbeitet damit an der Zerstörung Belgiens als gemeinsamer Staat der Flamen, Wallonen und der deutschsprachigen Gemeinschaft, in dem natürlich auch Menschen aus anderen Ländern und Kulturen, mit unterschiedlichen Religionen und Anschauungen ihren Platz haben sollen.

Die Propaganda dieser Gruppe führte vor einigen Monaten dazu, daß ein junger Mann – ein Anhänger des Vlaams Belang – in Antwerpen auf offener Straße eine junge Frau, eine Türkin, und das Kind, das sie bei sich hatte, tötete und eine weitere Frau schwer verletzte. Seine Begründung: Er wolle etwas tun gegen die »Fremden«.Wenn heute hier in dieser Stadt auf Einladung der Partei »Pro Köln« die belgischen Repräsentanten der rassistischen Propaganda ebenfalls auftreten sollen, dann können wir als Organisation von Veteranen und jungen Antifaschisten nur davor warnen, daß es zumeist nicht bei Worten bleibt, sondern daß oftmals blutige Taten folgen – angeblich von »Einzelgängern«.

Ich will diese Beispiele nicht fortsetzen, aber doch deutlich machen, daß neofaschistische und rassistische Feindbilder viele Gesichter haben können: In osteuropäischen Ländern und aktuell in Italien sind es Sinti und Roma, in Rußland sind es Menschen aus der Kaukasus-Region, in Frankreich Einwanderer aus dem Maghreb, in den Niederlanden richtet sich der Rassismus gegen Einwanderer, in Deutschland gegen Türken. Ich rufe euch zu: Bleibt standhaft! No pasaran – sie werden nicht durchkommen! Euer Handeln ist richtig und notwendig für unsere gemeinsame Zukunft in einem offenen und demokratischen Europa: Denn es bleibt dabei: Faschismus und Rassismus sind keine Meinung, sondern einfach nur Verbrechen!

Kemarin aku diperlihatkan kalung Energy Bio FIR ”Far Infra Red Ray” oleh Bunda.  Bentuknya seperti tasbih berbatu-batu putih.  Ada juga benda bonus yang menyerupai liontin batu putih pipih seperti kepingan uang logam berdiameter 3 cm.

Entah dari mana Bunda membeli Kalung itu.  MLM sepertinya.  Dan Oh My God ... harganya ternyata Mahal.  Kenapa begitu ... ??  Karena kalung (dan juga gelang dan liontin) itu katanya berkhasiat untuk mencegah penyakit-penyakit urban macam ... stroke, kencing manis, jantung, darah tinggi dan lain sebagainya.

Aku tidak tahu bagaimana cara kerja dari Kalung tersebut.

Tetapi katanya Bio Necklace itu bermanfaat untuk membantu mengaktifkan sel-sel, meningkatkan metabolisme, mengaktifkan molekul air, menghambat pertumbuhan sel kanker, bakteri dan jamur ....  Juga berbagai manfaat lain yang berkaitan dengan melancarkan peredaran darah.  (termasuk awet muda dan ceria juga katanya ...).

Didalam brosurnya ada referensi dari DR. Toshiko Yamazaki MD.  Juga rekomendasi dari Haemo Research Foundation dan Japan Blood Institute Foundation ... (Ada yang ring a bell mengenai yayasan-yayasan itu nggak ???)

Akhirnya kalung itu dipakai Bunda ... sementara aku menggunakan bonusnya saja yaitu liontin batu putih pipih tersebut.  Langsung aku pakai liontin tersebut dengan dikaitkan pada tali bekas gantungan HP ... (Trainer seumur-umur gak pernah pake Kalung soale ...).  Setelah aku pakai ... memang terasa agak hangat badanku.  ... serasa Preman Pasar.

Dan beberapa jam kemudian iseng aku nyeletuk ke Bunda ...

”Bun ... kalung Ayah yang putih itu berubah warna jadi Coklat loh sekarang ??”

Bunda kaget naif ...

”Hah ... wah hebat ... khasiatnya langsung bekerja tuh,  racun-racun pada diserap ya ...!!!”

Dan dengan becanda aku pun tambahkan ...

”Iya ... liontin  itu berubah jadi coklat ... karena  Daki Ayah yang tebel itu pada nempel disitu”

Huahahaha ... dan Bunda pun tertawa ...

Asa ca am luat suprema decizie de a trece la epilat. Am coborat la salon curios de ce mi se poate intampla. M-a intampinat domnisoara care m-a tuns cu gauri cu ceva vreme in urma. "Va tundeti?" I-am zambit multumit de raspunsul ce urma sa i-l dau:"NU! Ma epilez sub brat". A zambit, ca la o gluma buna:"Glumiti?" "NU! Ce-i de glumit in asta?!" A mai zambit o data si a zis "Nimic", plecand…. Intre timp a vanit epilatoarea, "Buna ziua, pofiti in cabinet". Am intrat in "cabinetul" care arata ca o sala de operatii.

Si am fost invitat sa ma intind pe un pat la fel de medical. Incepusem sa fiu intimidat. Mi-am dat tricoul jos, mi-am supt un pic burta, am ridicat bratele. Doamna a proptit deasupra mea un bec extrem de puternic, fix ca alea de la chirurgie, si a inceput sa ma studieze:"Mda…nu-i rau, totusi va va durea un pic…mda, in fine, sa incepem". Eu zambeam. Durere, zici?! "Durere" eram poreclit in copilarie, eu am inventat durerea, mananc durere pe paine! Doamna amesteca maglavaisul intr-o oala. M-a informat ca fiind prima oara, folosim ceara clasica. Ok, cum zici tu, mare scofala! Apoi cu o spatula mi-a intins sub brate şmecheria.
O crema calda si galbena, mai ca-mi era pofta sa gust un pic. "Va arde?" "Nici pomeneala, domnisoara" - am raspuns zambind la fel de smecher. A inceput sa apese ceara care se întărea si, pe neasteptate, JBANG!!! Ochii au dat sa-mi iasa un pic din cap. Smulsese ceara intarita cu tot cu firisoarele mele.

Domnisoara m-a studiat din priviri si m-a intrebat:"V-a durut?" "Un pic, asta-i tot?!" am provocat-o eu viteaz. "Nu, nu-i tot." - a venit replica pe care nu o doream si nu o asteptam. "Mai dam un strat, ca au mai ramas firisoare." Si din nou m-a uns cu ceara fierbinte. Adevarul e ca mă asteptam sa fie mai dureros. Că atat de mult va plangeti, domnisoarelor si doamnelor, incat m-am asteptat la ceva similar cu luatul unui sut in coae. Zona tocmai epilata imi era insa deja sensibila si cea de-a doua "extragere" a fost mai dureroasa. Ochii mi-au iesit cam jumate din cap. Si cu toata vitejia mea, am recunoscut: "Nu-i teribil de placut…" Domnisoara mi-a zambit si a spus:"Inca o data si gata!"

Inca o data?!?!?! Pai de ce? "Tot v-au mai ramas niste firsoare. As putea sa le smulg cu penseta. Cum doriti?" Eram invins. "Cu ceara, domnisoara, cu ceara…" Mi-a aplicat cel de-al treilea strat.

Nu mai imi era bine, nu mai zambeam, vroiam sa se termine dracu o data, imi era dor de lama mea si de usturimea after shave-ului aplicat dupa ras.
Si JBANG!!!!! - a treia oara!!! Mi-am muscat buzele. Mi-a venit sa o iau pe domnisoara de freza si sa o dau cu capul de lampa, de dulapuri de pereti. " 'tu-ti gura ta de ceara si epilare, mai bine imi las carlionti ca evreii!" Chiar ma duruse. Domnisoara isi cerceta opera. Mă intreabă:"Aveti Baneocin acasa?" "Nu stiu ce-i ala, si de ce ar trebui sa am?" "Pentru ca v-a dat un pic sangele." "Vaaaaaaaaaaiiiii, 'tu-ti ceara ma-tii care te-a facut de ceara si de epilare… - injuram in gand ca birjarul. "Mi-a dat sangele?" "Da, un pic, se opreste repede."

M-a dat cu niste creme calmatoare, cu o pudra, si mi-a zis ca-s gata.
Da, eram gata, la propriu. Tineam mainile pe langa corp de parca avea sub brat doua becuri fierbinti. Si acum simt tot asa. In plus am inceput sa transpir. Si cica nu am voie sa fac dus vreo doua-trei ore. Si nici sa ma dau cu after-shave.

Deci da, stiu prin ce treceti. Si da, stiu ca se poate si mai rau. Nu vreau sa-mi inchipui ce s-ar fi intamplat daca ceara mi-ar fi fost aplicata si apoi smulsa din zone, sa zicem, mai sensibile.

Four highly influential functionaries of the Defense Security Guards (DSG) and the Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) were implicated by Sui Police in Dera Bugti district on Sunday in connection to the alleged rape of a Baloch widow.

According to the police details, a Baloch woman, Fardos Bibi alias Gulzar, registered a case with the Sui police on Sunday against four personnel of the DSG and the Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) saying that the men had stormed into her house and gang rapped her besides breaking the things inside her house.

“She came to the police station at around 12:00pm on Sunday with her clothes torn and marks of torture present on her face,” confirmed a local police personnel, requesting anonymity, with this scribe.

The woman informed the police that she had been living outside her native town for a long time due to the conflict taking place in Dera Bugti district for the past couple of months. Her husband, Mohammad Ayub Bugti, who died eight years ago, had formerly served at as a peon in one of the gas company. Recently, she had returned to her old house with the improvement in the state of law and order in the area. On her arrival, the woman’s house was stormed by the personnel of the security and the gas companies.

In her First Investigation Report (FIR), the mother of six said the chief security officer of the Pakistan Petroleum Limited, Colonel (Retired) Farooq Pasha, admin officer Jamshid Chawona, Malik Sagheer Ahmed, deputy security officer and Shera of the Defense Security Guards walked into her house and physically harassed her.

Police sources said the 40-year old woman is a residence of the Labour Colony of Sui and on her insistence the police had registered a case of rape against the four persons. Besides, the FIR NO 3208/337/354/452/451/504/147/149 had been registered with the local police and the search for the accused had started. However, no arrests had been carried out until late Sunday evening. All the accused are non-locals.

The gang rape of a doctor of the Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) back in December 2005 had triggered unprecedented violence in Dera Bugti district. In a similar instance, Dr. Shahzia Khalid, the victim, had nominated a captain of the DSG, Captain Hamad. The local Baloch protested against the gang rape of the Sindhi doctor and fired several hundred rockets on the gas installations to vent their anger. However, the accused military officer was protected by the former president and the then army chief, General (retired) Pervez Musharraf who said publically that the accused was completely innocent.

Il giorno dopo un plebiscito al 95% e rotti che ha chiuso l’assemblea elettiva Fir di Bologna in mezza mattinata, e un’opposizione non pervenuta (diversamente dalle passate lotte contro il Crri e “patto di Selvazzano”) Giancarlo Dondi si gode nella sede Fir di Parma la lettura dei giornali della domenica, che certificano la conferma del suo quarto mandato alla guida del rugby italiano: un regno avviato nel 1996 e impreziosito il 1º maggio scorso dall’elezione nell’esecutivo dell’International board (7 membri). Ovvero il governo del rugby che fra 10 mesi deciderà se affidare all’Italia il mondiale 2015 che, nell’alternanza fra emisferi, spetterà all’Europa.

Oltre a Dondi (41356 voti) la Fir avrà otto nuovi consiglieri sui 14 delle società e fra questi tre i veneti: il trevigiano Zeno Zanandrea (24141 voti), il veneziano Luigi Torretti (22328) e il docente e membro del Senato accademico di Padova Andrea Rinaldo (20578) petrarchino ed ex azzurro. Fra i giocatori la novità si chiama Francesco “Cocco” Mazzariol (2027 voti, uno degli azzurri di Grenoble ’97), fra i tecnici si conferma Moreno Trevisiol (2254).

Presidente Dondi, percentuali bulgare? «In realtà è del 97%, 4 delegati, non si sa perché, forse distratti, non hanno votato».

La Benetton - si dice - avesse chiesto un proprio candidato. È vero? «C’è stata una richiesta della Benetton di candidare Vittorio Munari a consigliere con me. Ma, con tutta la stima che ho e posso avere per Munari, ho ritenuto che ci fossero motivi di conflitti di interesse in quanto direttore sportivo di una società e anche telecronista. Per questo ho detto no. Preciso: non ho alcun problema con la Benetton. Sinceramente, se si fosse candidato il presidente Zatta non avrei avuto dubbi».

Si registra il ritorno del Petrarca in consiglio con Rinaldo, dopo anni di assenza. «A parte che in consiglio non entrano le società ma le persone. Anzi i consiglieri decidono sul rugby italiano senza pensare troppo alla parrocchietta. Rinaldo doveva entrare già nel 2004, purtroppo quella candidatura fu fatta troppo all’ultimo momento e in parte non è stata neppure capita bene. È una persona di qualità, sicuramente sarà un ottimo consigliere. Benvenuto. Anche al Petrarca che ha saputo far eleggere un candidato e per il ritorno nella politica del rugby che gli è sempre appartenuta».

Si parla di un suo incarico a vice presidente vicario. Come già Lorigiola e Sabatini in passato. Che c’è di vero? «Dipende dal Consiglio, alla prima seduta si votano tre vicepresidenti, di cui uno vicario. E’ un voto segreto vedremo. Di certo ho impegni gravosi ed è per quello che ho bisogno di gente che mi dia una mano».

Ha ribadito gli obiettivi: Mondiali e 100mila tesserati. C’è bisogno di tutti? «Non c’è solo il movimento che deve far squadra, è l’intero Paese che deve muoversi».

A luglio l’Irb decide, quali sono le tappe intermedie di questa candidatura? «Entro il 30 settembre dobbiamo dare risposte concrete all’Irb: dove giochiamo, in quali campi. Dopo inizieranno le visite in Italia, e abbiamo tempo sino al 30 aprile per presentare il programma definitivo».

Nel 2015 ci sarà l’Expò di Milano che si porta dietro infrastrutture come l’alta velocitaà. Sono più importanti queste opere (in Francia il mondiale ha “viaggiato” sul Tgv) o stadi adeguati? «Per prima cosa bisogna che la gente capisca l’importanza di un Mondiale di rugby. È il secondo evento mondiale nel creare più interessi in un paese. Perché il calcio ha pressopoco gli stessi spettatori e molti più telespettatori. Ma l’evento si calcola pure su quanto tempo quegli spettatori rimangono in un paese: i rugbisti stanno un tempo doppio rispetto ai calciofili: 20 giorni di media su 6 settimane (il calcio ne ha 4) e quindi l’indotto è maggiore rispetto. Il mondiale 2007 ha creato ricchezza pari allo 0,2% del Pil francese. 2,5 milioni di turisti. Interessi enormi».

Se a luglio 2009 dicono di sì, è già corsa contro il tempo? «Tutto è contro il tempo. Bisogna che lo Stato si convinca, se no lasciamo stare. Fra 15 giorni dobbiamo dire se confermiamo la candidatura o no. Ho chiesto un incontro con il Governo che ci sarà a giorni».

Padova ospita l’Australia a novembre, caso isolato? «Spero che l’Euganeo sarà esaurito. In futuro nulla è precluso. Servono stadi capienti, o li allargano o nuovi. Il Veneto è la regione rugbisticamente più avanzata, ma la Nazionale ormai ha necessità di posti. Vorrei che in Veneto ci fossero stadi per i match importanti fuori da Roma».

Il Veneto alternativa fissa al Flaminio? Come Marsiglia per i test della Francia? «Certo. Una volta si veniva sempre nel Veneto perchè gli unici campi con una certa capienza erano Padova, Rovigo o Treviso. "Der har i de senere år været stadig flere episoder med konfrontationer mellem personer og grupperinger fra henholdsvis det højre- og det venstreekstremistiske miljø. I de fleste tilfælde har der været tale om aktioner, herunder af voldelig karakter, fra det venstreekstremistiske miljø rettet mod de arrangementer (demonstrationer, møder mv.), som personer og grupperinger fra det højreekstremistiske miljø har afholdt. Der er imidlertid også konstateret eksempler på, at højreekstremister har stået bag voldelige aktiviteter rettet mod venstreekstremister."

PET altså mere end antyder, at bandekrigen mellem højreradikale og venstrefløjen har sin rod i venstrefløjens hyppige angreb på højrefløjs-arrangementer. Samtidig siger PET klart og tydeligt, at venstrefløjen er den mest voldelige part.

PETs årsberetning, der bekræfter bl.a. Junikredsens fremstilling af den igangværende bandekrig, er naturligvis blevet mødt med indædt modstand af krigens mest aggressive part. Fra Redox til Enhedslisten har man forsøgt at skabe tvivl om PETs troværdighed. Debatten om venstrefløjen er dog i dag formentligt så polariseret af venstrefløjens rethaveriske arrogance, at disse grupper kun prædiker for de allerede omvendte.

Vold avler som bekendt vold. Det erkender selv den kendte venstreekstremist, akademikeren og Monsun-aktivisten René Karpantschof, der i et interview til Jyllandsposten 11. december 2005 bl.a. udtrykte sin angst for, at højreradikale begynder at slå igen: "Der er ingen tvivl om, at venstrefløjen i en lang årrække har formået at holde højrefløjen nede bl.a. ved brug af chikane og vold. Man kan frygte, at de højreradikale mener, at det er payback-time".

Karpantschof er, som så mange andre på det yderste venstre, nemlig fuldt vidende om, at man allerede for tyve år siden lagde en voldsstrategi for at bekæmpe den dengang betydeligt svagere højrefløj. I 1987 stiftede grupper på det yderste venstre kamporganisationen Fællesinitiativet mod Racisme (FIR). Formålet var at forhindre højrefløjen i "at udbrede deres propaganda og hverve sympatisører. Vi blokerer deres møder, river deres plakater ned" o.s.v. Samme grupper stod i 1992 bag stiftelsen af Antiracistisk Netværk, der viderefører FIRs aktiviteter.

Hovedaktørerne i Antiracistisk Netværk er Enhedslisten og det erklæret voldelige Antifascistisk Aktion. I mange år stod Foreningen Demos for netværkets efterretningsvirksomhed, men er på det seneste blevet skubbet ud af konkurrenten Redox. Om denne private efterretningsvirksomhed skriver PET, at den "i sig selv er betænkeligt, og de selvbestaltede agenter går rent ud sagt i vejen for PET's efterforskning."

PET har også "konstateret en øget aktivitet i højre- og venstreekstremistiske miljøer med henblik på at anskaffe våben som led i den gensidige voldsudøvelse." Det må man sandelig ikke håbe, for det flyder i forvejen med våben på venstrefløjen. Ifølge Jyllandspostens serie På rejse i ekstremisme (kap. 3) har Århus Antifa senest organiseret indkøb af en større ladning tåregas i Tyskland til brug i krigen mod White Pride.

Kaster man et overfladisk blik på venstrefløjens vold og voldsberedthed bare siden årtusindskiftet, så forekommer det næsten utænkeligt, at den kan optrappe sin vold yderligere:

However, when the user presses a button, there is a short time during which the micro-controller cannot tell for sure whether the button is pressed or not. During this short time, the mechanical switch under the button establishes the contact and (electronic) noise is read. To the micro-controller, this noise appears as a short burst of random ones and zeroes between the button-not-pressed state (or zero) and the button-is-quite-pressed state (or one). The micro-controller has to decide through that burst of random bits when—and if—the button is pressed. The same thing occurs when the button is released.

The noise from the contact is usually somewhat smoothed by a small capacitor-based circuit called a debouncer. The debouncer makes sure that the signal rises smoothly from 0 (not pressed) to 1 (pressed). But even with a debouncing circuit, the signal must go through a phase where its level isn't quite zero nor quite one, and the micro-controller's I/O port may read either levels; resulting in multiple, rapid contacts instead of a single, longer, contiguous contact. Naturally, this situation must be avoided; if not by hardware, by software.

The contact via a mechanic switch will establish itself in a very noisy way. It will eventually settle to be fully on, but there will be a short time (well, rather long time from the point of view of the processor) where it will be between on and off. The noisy contact level will go through the debouncer circuit, which will remove most of the noise but will not threshold the signal just yet. The thresholding—transforming the signal to either zero or one—will be done by the micro-controller's I/O pin circuitry to which the output of the debouncer is connected. The general situation is illustrated:

We would like to obtain the ideal logic levels, going to one exactly when the contact is established and going back to zero instantly when it is released. However, we do not have access to this ideal signal, we can only guess when both events occurs.

While this is not quite the ideal signal, it is a reasonable approximation. With further a priori known ledge on the debouncing circuitry and the switch itself, one could compensate and place the dashed line more precisely, yielding a much better approximation of the ideal levels.

What we will need to process the bits is, in fact, a digital filter, but of a special kind, one usually not covered in textbooks: a binary finite impulse response (FIR) filter. Digital signal processing theory textbooks suppose that the signal is represented in the computer with some arbitrarily high precision and that any numerical operations will succeed without so much as mere rounding errors. Realistically, even when using 16 or 24 bits samples, one faces rounding errors and similar numerical artifacts. Here, we're in a much more dire situation: the signal is a stream of bits. That is, for the micro-controller, the signal looks like this:

Because we will need to look at bits from both sides of a given bit to decide whether or not to "repair" it, the filter will introduce a necessary delay. The length of the delay depends on how wide we want the window around the bit to repair to be. Let us, for our example, suppose that we will need, say, 5 bits: two bits before, two bits after the bit to repair. The filter's delay is therefore of two bits. The code for the register holding the window will look like

This is a basic shift register where bits enter on one side and exit on the other. To this register, you want to add a filter that decides whether you're reading a one or a zero—after a two bit delay. The code will look like:

Note that the code doesn't re-write the bits in the window. The filtered bit is returned, but the original bits remain untouched in the window. This is why we are talking about a finite response filter; since we do not modify the contents of the window, an error cannot propagate on the whole signal. In our case, it doesn't propagate at all because the next decision from the filter will not take the previous decisions into account.

So, how do we implement the filter? One method is the fat bit method that just makes a bit become fat, that is, three bit wide. The filter code is minimal:

Suppose we have our five bit window containing 01011, and the middle 0 is the bit to filter. Using the above method, we have that (01011>>1) is 00101, (01011<<1) is 10110, or-ed together it yields 10111, so the filter returns 1.

The problem with this method, however, is that the signal spreads both ways and that the algorithm never removes ones from the signal. Clearly, we need something a bit more sophisticated.

Rather than shuffling and or-ing bits in a more or less random way, the next method, a more general one, uses efficient pattern matching. Consider the following filter function:

The filtered array can be ad hoc, created by hand using a priori knowledge, or generated by a program that computes the ideal set of patterns depending on rules you decide upon. The exact generation method doesn't really matter, as long as you associate each possible pattern with a decision, 0 or 1.

This method is however somewhat wasteful space-wise (we are allocating 32 ints) and time-wise. Space-wise, we might want to use chars instead of ints, but there's a much better solution; we will come back to it in a moment. Time-wise, the address generation involved in filtered[window] might be costly, relatively speaking. First, it involves pointer arithmetic (loading pointers, computing offsets, etc.) and second, it reads from memory, which, in certain cases, may be quite slow.

To save memory, in cases where the window isn't really wide, we can replace the table by a magic number containing all the bits from the table and obtain something like:

which is efficient if the shift instruction is efficient. This method can be used if the windows is small enough. A 32 bit unsigned constant allows a window of only 5 bits, which isn't much; 64 bits unsigned only gives one additional bit, for a six-bit window. Fortunately, we can stretch the method a bit to include much larger windows.

Remember, in Bit Blenders, we introduced the test_bit function what allowed us to fetch the n-th bit of a block of memory? Let use it to extend the previous method:

where the size of the array pattern is (1<<windows_size-3), with window_size in bits. This mean that for a 16 bits window (which might be the maximum practical width) the array would need 8 KB of (read-only) memory.

Debouncing has a number of quite real applications. In embedded devices using man/machine interfaces (such as a mp3 player, or even your desktop computer's USB keyboard) debouncing occurs quite naturally. It also occurs in industrial control where sensors-switches are placed in and around machines; often in unexpected form and shape. For example, rotary encoders may track the position of a conveyor to surprising accuracy. To do so, some rotary encoders read a Gray-coded wheel (either electrically or optically for longer operating life) and use debouncing to deal with the cases where the wheel just barely changes position. I am sure debouncing also finds an application in game programming, and that likely game controllers use it extensively.

I think the stadium was more than 90% full. IT WAS SO GOOD I TELL YOU!!!!! Faye sang so many songs without stopping yet she didn't go off-pitch/out of tune! SHE WAS REALLY CUTE (: And and and AH QIN WAS SO COOL!!! Aaaaaaah -swoons- Jianning laoshi was great too!! He knows how to play so many instruments :O I LOVED ALL THE SONGS THEY SANG! JAM HSIAO WAS SO ADORABLE HAHAHAHHA! He is so skinny..

We were all so high after the concert!! Especially Bel and Chengxin who were singing DBSK songs in the playground close to 12am..?! Anyway, we managed to wave goodbye while they were in the van leaving the Indoor Stadium (: HAPPY!

1) Yesterday was the first time I went to a concert with SO MANY PEOPLE! 8 people including me, went to FIR's concert on 080808 at 8pm (:

3) Yesterday was the first time I took the last bus home :O HAHA, imagine if I couldn't get onto the bus!!! And also imagine If I had no $$$$ if I couldn't get onto the bus :/ In the end I reached home at 0030 I think.

4) Yesterday was the first time FIR put up a concert out of Taiwan!

After watching Mr Bean's Holiday + realised my complete inability to play Guitar Hero at Hu Yuan's house, I had to rush to the Indoor Stadium, only reaching Kallang MRT at 8pm. Having no sense of direction, I took 40 mins to get there, having to run like 1km.

So I missed the first song.

Haha, but the whole concert was great, especially for my first time attending one (: Great classic songs like 我要飞, 我们的爱, Fly Away, Lydia, and many more to be listed. Wasn't that high throughout the concert, probably because I was quite tired. But the atmosphere was great to sing along (and hear lots of scream, pity my ears..)

Not to forget the guest appearance by 萧敬腾! His hit songs are pretty good after all, even though I didn't start out liking them when I first listened on MTV Mandarin.

The whole thing ended at 11pm, but I took an hour to walk back to MRT, only to realise I missed the last train and had to take taxi back ._.

So much for a camera phone..

Two years ago, the day after we'd been in Cellardyke, Bird Flu was found in a dead swan in Cellardyke harbour. Last year as we left Praia de Luz Madeliene McCann was abducted, and only ten days ago we were on the Grand Pier in Weston Super Mare. That won't be happening again in a hurry as it burned down this morning!

It seems this story has gone down well because it appeared on The Guardian blog at 10.45 this morning.

Ouch!

It is tough to be a Delhiite as Jiten and his wife Manisha found out 24 hours after celebrating the first birthday of their son, Abir, on Wednesday. The Kushwahas had taken a flight out of Delhi on a pleasure trip to Pune just the next day, but their holidaying ended abruptly when they came to know that their dream home in Dwarka had been burgled soon after they had left the city. They quickly flew back, only to run around for 30 hours to get an FIR lodged.

I and Jun left for Ilocos Norte at around 9pm via the Florida Bus Lines (they're the pink and periwinkle buses) and arrived at around 6:30am the following morning. So thats roughly 9 hours of travel.

We were welcomed by my Mom who just had her daily morning exercise (hahaha) and i was immediately infatuated by the place. It was full of the most beautiful bougainvilleas i have ever seen. And the house was super lovely as well.

I and Jun after settling in our things, went outside and took some pictures. Jun looks happy. I look tired!

My sister, Aljosa who arrived a day earlier (but had no camera) immediately made the most out of our camera and took some headshots using some infamous Friendster poses. Hahahaha.

After a hefty breakfast, we were pleasantly surprised that our itinerary for the next two days was already laid out, planned, and prepared. And we have the best tour guide to accompany us.

First stop: Bangui (where the famous Ilocos Norte Windmills are!)

Even if the sun is scorching and i forgot to buy sunblock, nothing can stop us from taking pictures!

The windmills were an overwhelming sight to behold. I never thought that such place exist in the Philippines; well i always see te Biyahe Tayo TV Ad with Regine Velasquez singing with the Ilocos Windmills as background, but seeing them for the first time is really something else. They're huge!

We were informed that they actually supply a certain percentage of Ilocos' electricity. And they're about 15 windmills now. They'll be adding an additional 5 or 10 more. So, Wow!

We went home and got some rest after going to the Blue Lagoon and then got an educational treat by going to the salt making site of Pasuquin.

We were also told that from Ilocos, one can also go to Batanes or Camiguin via motor boat which excites us even more to go back!
