So, first of all; you must be thinking - WHY?

Firstly, Leave Out All The Rest has that sad misery forbidden and unrequited sound. Get it? Like the first verse that went:

It could've explained what Zuko felt the whole time, the whole time he was trying to regain his honor and the whole time he had to deny his feelings towards Katara. He was so scared of leaving the gang, it seemed like he never wanted to leave when Katara's near. He always had the oppoturnity of seeing her and talking to her, but she just won't accept him because of what his Fire Nation did. Soon after that feelings grew, and Katara seemed to have fallen in love with him and got her hopes up high when she something unexpected happened. Katara then hated him, disapproving almost everything of him.

Second, 7 Things by Miley Cyrus is pretty much obvious. From Katara's POV, she could've thought about Zuko like in the song 7 Things. It's a beautiful thing, for her to know that there are things to hate about Zuko, but there are also things about him that she likes. She both hate and like the fact that he made her fall in love. He made her laugh and cry. And she was; actually - confused. He loved her, but he liked Mai. There is just too many confusions, but they are experiencing the parts of true love.

Third, Teardrops on My Guitar is another song that I discovered long while ago before it was a hit on the radios. It is another song based form Katara's POV, and very sad. I find this song really appealing, Mai was seemingly perfect if compared to Katara, am I right? Because she was in the Fire Nation. That's it. Done. So in Katara's POV, she must be thinking that Mai is more perfect, wishing that she was as flawless as Mai. But she couldn't/wouldn't. Katara knows that she stood no chance of being with Zuko because of their different tribes, but she still loved him; don't you think? Why is it her that was always offended by Zuko if not for her feelings? This song is the most emotional of all. Battle is a song I discovered from a friend, she told me to listen to it and finally; I realized how much this song felt strong deep inside.

"You thought we'd be fine,

It is pretty sad, when Zuko thought both of them would be fine together, right? This song would most probably suit Katara's POV again. Try to figure out things from this part of the song:

"Cause this is a battle
and its your final last call
it was a trial, you made a mistake, we know
but why arent you sorry, why arent you sorry, why?
this can be better, you used to be happy, try..."

Doesn't it seem so appealing to how Katara feels toward Zuko? Think. Everything that went wrong in their relationship is because of Zuko... And Mai. (I know, Maiko fans, ignore this. DO NOT READ THE REST IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET OFFENDED.) Mai, to me, is a perfect-looking girl, fair and beautiful black hair - you can say, a different package than Katara. More Chinese-like. She had always been loving Zuko since she was young, but my opinion is, she had been almost a stalker; stupid enough to be so bossy and cranky towards him. It's like all she loved about him was his look, not for him himself. Katara loved Zuko because of who he is while Mai is getting all the luxuries because of her "kissy-kissy scenes and forcing Zuko to kiss her".

When You're Gone is going to be a short talk. This song is about losing someone, missing someone. This could be experienced by both Zuko and Katara at the same time. They had to be separated from each other because of their different nature, elements and really different from each other.

If Only She Knew is more of a "I gotta tell your girl that you don't love her", but in a way, it's true that Zuko doesn't feel the same way to Mai as he did to Katara. Here is the whole song lyrics for your own reference.

Somehow in a way, you can feel that Katara feels about Zuko differently than Mai. Mai seemed to be more of confident, while Katara seems to be fragile; and knowing that anything can happen to their relationship.

What Hurts The Most is almost the same as When You're Gone, when seeing that each other had to move on differently, they knew it hurt them. And knowing that, they had too many things to say, even to say that they love each other seemed so much to bear.

Goodbye To You is the last chapter of them before having the 'Epilogue' of their love. They had to move on from each other and say goodbye. They will start something new, something new with different people and different feelings. Like Kataang and Maiko. This is the end of them, and this song is the symbol of their farewell to each other, hurting with lies and illusions of almost everything that happened between them. This song is sad to say so too. It can make people cry.

And lastly, the Epilogue and conclusion of their thoughts about each other, they knew what each other wanted. They both have lost their parents in the same war. All You Wanted is a melancholic song also the symbol of this conclusion. They were both hurt, and wanting each other to care. They wanted each other because they both cared about how each other were. They knew they weren't mean to be together but in their hearts - there are still hope from their deep-buried treasure of love for each other.

RY: If you think back a few decades, there were artists like The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and Stevie Wonder. Back then, as now, they were artists that were universally loved and respected. Why do you think there's such a great divide in the current era of music between what's considered great music and what isn't?

JM: I think everybody wants to have a constant stream of communication from consumer to artist, artist to consumer and consumer to consumer. It is an absolute web of communication. That's how people really want it and that's how they want to be entertained-with their hand on a buzzer saying, "I like it" or "I don't like it." That's why there's so much delineation between the two. It's Douchebag versus He's cool.

In the days of The Beatles, I don't think there was that much advantage taken of a consumer. Now, consumers get taken advantage of so much that they have to become defensive. It's harder than ever to get an idea in somebody's head without them going, "Oh, you're just making that up." I think partly that's the way they want it and partly, that's the way they need it to be because there are so many people waiting to take advantage of you that you have to be ready to call bullshit at any moment.

People just want to play along at home and I understand it. People want to talk back and now artists can hear it, and maybe people were always talking shit.

I'm going to give you the scoop and I'm going to let people quote your interview. Celebrities read everything. They are their own biggest stalkers; they know every single gossip site, and every single post as it goes up. They act like they don't-but they all do. Celebrities, by that estimation . . . do terrible research because all they ever do is read that without anything else to give them perspective. They're such bad researchers and their science is such shit that they sit in front of a computer for one hour every morning and read one control group. If it were a scientific experiment, it would be the equivalent of only researching what this pill does to pregnant women. There are people walking around all day having only informed themselves by reading blogs that begin with, "Bitch probably." If you're reading a blog that says, "Bitch probably uses a rake as a comb," you're probably on that blog. There's so much other information out there to be had. Read some fan mail; read about the people who said they were sick for half of last year and your music got them through it. We are terrible at not reading all the data, so that's how I feel.

If you're going to go on that stuff and read it, then you'd better understand that all you're doing is hanging out in one wing of the psych ward. You go, "People really are crazy?" No-visit a different floor. Go hang out in the waiting room for a minute and talk to some normal people. It's just as much my responsibility to keep my head out of that, but I read it and I accept it. I also know I can walk outside and somebody will say, "I love your record and you got me through some really tough times." I love meet and greets more than ever because that's the other side of the data.

And although Perez likes to rip into Mayer, I think Mayer has a point on this one. I don't doubt that celebrities do read everything that's being said about them - and if they don't their publicists certainly do and inform them - but what if those celebrities spent that time reading more fan mail? Meeting more fans? People have stories and I truely believe music and other things do help people get through hard times. What if more celebrities took the time to listen to the people with those stories?

zillz: I got a question to ask you about the hip-hop game that i might wanna put on the LB Fansite.
Dan Johns: Okay.

zillz: Given the technologies and avenues that we are afforded today, where do you see promotion and sales going to in the future?
Dan Johns: CD sales are going to go the way of the cassette tape in the 90's...and I'm not sure if mp3 sales will rise enough to compensate for the drop off. Artists are being forced to use their music and free releases to create a buzz for tours. I see music being more of a bargaining chip to open other doors. I don't know what will be tomorrow's "ringtone," but musicians are going to rely more on live shows and other avenues to get money.

zillz: Making true money off of cds is pretty much dead and really just an official promotional tool now. Where does that leave the musician? Suppose there's no other avenue they're interested in...are they stuck?
Dan Johns: your last 2 questions are the reason that most musicians keep their day-job and make music as a second full-time job so, yeah, in some ways they are stuck. WE are stuck.

zillz: If you had to guess, where's the win for the musician?
Dan Johns: Tightening up the live performance, working hard to keep new material coming out, and trying to find a unique connection with the fans.

zillz: How do you feel about the internet's role in the landscape of music now.
Dan Johns: It's a tremendous tool, as well as a tremendous hindrance all at once. The net is responsible for "shrinking" the world so that artists can reach like-minded fans worldwide. But the consequence is how easy the net makes it to find albums without purchasing them. the ease of finding new music decreases the "shelf live of every release. one release a year isn't acceptable b/c the landscape is so flooded but at the same time, the net is the only solution to the problems that it has caused. Crazy, I know.

Mais depuis un peu plus d'un mois il existe un site très complet et en français sur le groupe Metric : Welovemetric.

Je vous conseille ce site pour plusieurs raisons :

• Il est entièrement en langue française et ce n'est vraiment pas négligeable pour nous français, belges, suisses...
• Il est vraiment très complet, avec des dizaines et dizaines de pages de contenu et l'on trouve à peu près tout ce que l'on veut sur Metric. Je vous détaillerais le contenu du site dans les billets suivants.
• Il est souvent mis à jour. En effet on retrouve en un clin d'œil l'actualité toute fraîche de Metric mais aussi du site sur la page d'accueil. Et les news sont fréquentes sur cette page : l'actualité de Metric.
• Enfin, il est lié à une communauté se formant peu à peu en France sur Metric et permettant une interaction et une vie autour du site.

Bref je vous conseille ce site sur Metric !
