Ya les habia comentado que todo el contenido de canciones del primer Rock Band puede ser usado sin ningun problema en ROCK BAND 2, ahora Harmonix anuncia como se realizara esta transferencia. Cuando el juego sea lanzado (en este caso para el XB360) se agregara un update que te permitira transferir tus archivos de personajes y canciones al RB2 . . . pero el chiste te costara $5 USD, es decir, 400 MS (Microsoft Points). Un detalle mas es que habra canciones que no podras transferir como "Enter Sandman" de Metallica, "Paranoid" de Black Sabbath, "Run to the Hills" de Iron Maiden y "Monsoon" de Tokio Hotel; esto debido a que aun no se han puesto de acuerdo con los pagos de las licencias.

Esta muy bien que el contenido sea compatible, asi no tendras que perder dinero por canciones que compraste para el primer titulo. Aunque todavia estoy esperando que se abran los mercados Europeo y Asiatico hacia America para comprar otras canciones.

in case none of you have been to tambun b4, there is a sunway in tambun, and its a pretty happening place! with nice shop building designs, gated communities, their very own sunway lagoon of course and rum jungle as well. its nicely placed at the foot of some hills, which are common around that area of perak. beautiful and breathtaking for the urban dwellers that have never seen much of nature in kl =P

many ppl came! cars parked along the road leading to the lost world, the carpark was full, and there were people everywhere! stalls selling anything from food to clothes and cars were placed all around the theme park. it really did look like it lived up to its 20,000 people expectation.

too bad the only downside of the day was the stage's placement. with the back of the stage facing the crowd flow, only a handful of people knew that there was a stage with live bands performing there. amidst the chaotic and busy environment in the whole of the themepark, the band area was pretty quiet and empty.

we were the last band scheduled for the day, with free to fall, army of three and psycho anthem playing before us. there was also an old man which could stick things onto his body: real heavy stuff!

alas it came to the time for us to play, and we gave our best with 7 songs: triple mic check, years of my life, 59 days, enter sandman 2.1 (our rendition of this popular song by metallica), friendly fire, keep your head up and penipuan berwaris. we had a great time rocking out; even though the crowd was pretty small, we had a lot of fun nonetheless =D

We were actually some of the last people to enter the performance hall, as numerous parents and other relatives and supporters had already filled it to capacity. Many people were asking us, "So who are you here to see?" To which we had to answer that we were here just for the show. I must admit, while I was at first hesitant to come, as soon as I saw the set up and the songs the bands were going to cover, I was excited.

The great thing about PC's Rock School is that it invites ALL talent levels from beginner to pro as well as ALL age groups! There had been some performers that had been doing Rock School courses for 6 cycles (Fall, Summer, Spring... twice)! And of course, all the adorable elementary school kids (boys AND girls!) that wanted to let their inner rocker out! One can only support any musical endeavors by anyone!!! *Sidenote: Mom was telling me that in the Spring session, there were more adults participating, and that she felt that many were local business executives just trying something new! How cool!*

The opening act was called Organically Grown, and they started off the afternoon with Blink 182's catchy "All the Small Things." If that didn't get the older crowd into in, the band's cover of Kiss' "Rock n' Roll All Night" surely had many a parent clapping along and moving in their seats! A great performance by these young ones, who seemed to be between 6-10 years old! Kudos to the drummer who was excellent, who kept a steady beat and had exciting drum fills!

Up next was the same age group of performers, but an all GIRL band! Freedom Runs Deep delivered a very cute performance, though a bit of stage shyness was evident! Yet it is these girls' talent which the audience will remember, as they delivered memorable performances of Green Day's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" and Buffalo Springfield's "For What it's Worth."

They were followed by early teen band Delayed Reaction, who picked up the pace of the concert with "Blitzkrieg Bop" by The Ramones. They managed to top themselves with Guns n' Roses' "Sweet Child of Mine," as the vocals were pleasant, and the guitar player absolutely nailed the riff at the beginning of the song, as well as wild guitar solo in the middle of the song. I've got two clips of them!

Next was Cruzn'uy, a three member band of teens, who attempted some tough songs! They opened with Jimi Hendrix's "Purple Haze," which was immediately recognized by many of the adults on hand. The well played guitar riffs and the stellar drumming may have suggested to some that the band may have opened with their best song. This was not the case, as the guitarist's played the opening riff to Metallica's "Enter Sandman" to the excited crowd, and their rendition surely did not disappoint. I've got two more clips!

They were followed by my favorite performance, by the band Flegm Wad. To tell you the truth, I wasn't a big fan of the songs they played, which were Sex Pistols' "Anarchy in the UK" and "Fire" by Jimi Hendrix. But again, the talent of the performers, as well as the overall outgoing performance (they actually interacted and moved around and FELT the music) really delighted the audience. Of course, the fact that their lead singer and guitarist was dressed as The Joker may have added to my overall preference of band at the concert!

The last band to perform was Mannequin Riot, and they were clearly the best band talent-wise, as their members had been doing Rock School for numerous sessions. Their set began with an original song written by the band called "Fever." And they closed with Muse's "Starlight." I was impressed by pretty much all the members, but particularly the vocals and the keyboard- who managed to nail the synthesized filling melody in "Starlight." A clip from "Fever."

I was so sad it ended! I will definitely be at the Fall 08 concert later this year! A round of applause to all performers, and as one of the teachers stated, "These kids are the real guitar heroes!"

Inane cheers: The Ohio St. cheer where half the stadium says "O-H" and the other half replies "I-O". Congratulations on learning to spell a four letter word that some of you don't use in every other sentence.

The Penn St. cheer where they say "We are (clap, clap) Penn St."  Somebody must have stayed up really late thinking up that one.  Probably the same person who came up with those great uniforms.

"Rock, Chalk, Jayhawk" for the University of Kansas.  I guess you figured since you had a fake mascot you could just free associate words and it would count as a cheer as long as it rhymed?

3. Be familiar with a couple of the great football traditions.

At Florida St. their mascot, Chief Osceola, rides a horse out to the middle of the field and throws a flaming spear into the ground. I guess he is somehow declaring war on the other team. What is funny to me is that the Seminole nation gave them permission to keep using Seminoles as their mascot. Therefore they have tacitly approved this caricature. Sometimes when I see this event it makes me want to drink the white man's firewater and trade Manhattan for some worthless trinkets. Go FSU.

Va Tech plays Enter Sandman by Metallica. Although I personally do not care for Lars Ulrich or James Hetfield due to their stance on Napster, their song makes for a pretty kewl entrance.

Clemson - All players touch Howard's Rock for good luck and then run downhill into the stadium.

At Notre Dame all players tap the Play Like A Champion Today sign as they walk down the staircase into the tunnel leading into Notre Dame stadium. I'm guessing last year they should have changed the sign to read Be A Champion Today.  Nice job of waking up the echoes against Navy, gold domers.

4. Know some really kewl mascots unless you're around a PETA member: Bevo the Longhorn (Texas), Ralphie the Buffalo (Colorado), the War Eagle (Auburn), and Mike the Tiger (LSU).  If a PETA member is around invite them to free Mike the Tiger before the game ala Roy Horn of Sigfried & Roy fame.

Don't worry there's still a lot more to come between now and kickoff.  As a Vandy fan this is the only part of the football season I enjoy.

Scrivo solo ora perchè sono stato troppo impegnato ad andare avanti e avanti e avanti fino a sbloccare la canzone più bella del gioco ENTER SANDMAN! Beh, gioco fantastico! Suonare con la chitarra si è divertente, ma un pò difficile. Con il microfono si va sempre bene anche se canta il più stonato del pianeta: si può cantare col tono alto o basso e non cambia niente. Poi c'è la batteria...... lo strumento più bello del mondo! Ho suonato due canzoni a livello facile, ma in effetti era davvero troppo facile, così sono passato subito al livello medio. Con il livello medio tutto bene fino a quando non ho cominciato un concerto da 5 canzoni, e Enter Sandman era la 3a. Mammma mia era da spararsi! In pratica quella canzone si può fare solo se si abbandona il piede a fare sempre lo stesso battito sulla cassa e ci si concentra a fare giusti i battiti con le bacchette. All'inizio era così difficile che l'ho dovuta provare 6/7 volte.

La cosa un pò noiosa è che ci sono 52 canzoni in totale, e tante volte te le ripropongono nei concerti. Ce n'è una che avrò suonato già cinque volte! Ora però vorrei giocare il Live e confrontarmi con qualcun'altro magari in qualche sfida di batteria; ho provato a cercare nella scatola del gioco, ma questa volta niente abbonamento per 48 ore.

Comunque con la batteria ho provato a fare livello difficile ed esperto e in alcune canzoni riesco a reggere solo la parte che ho appena studiato io al corso di batteria, ovvero il ritmo rock base, e poi sbaglio tutto. Siccome è estate e non ho niente da fare mi allenerò sulla batteria vera così potrò finalmente suonare i doppi colpi, ecc ecc.

Volevo anche fare un video ma con la videocamera si vede la tv super lucente e quindi viene uno schifo.. no anzi devo farlo per forza quello dove suono Enter Sandman tutta giusta, o quasi (95-98 %)! Proverò a registrarlo sta sera o domani ;) .

Tanti dicono che da fastidio il rumore che fanno le bacchette sulla batteria, ma non è vero! Ma anche se desse fastidio basta alzare il volume della tv no?

Ah un altra cosa: se con Rock Band si suona la batteria a livello medio per mezz'ora, alla fine si è stanchi come quando si ha corso per 20 minuti col Wii Fit! Pazzesco!

While they were listening to the supposed good stuff, I was eating up what MTV was serving: 3rdBass' Pop Goes The Weasel, Metallica 's Enter Sandman, and Warren G and Nate Dogg in Regulate.

But I digress. I've come to understand the finer things in life, and I'm not talking about Tchaikovsky or anything like that. I'm talking Zeppelin, baby! Anyhow, as the header video states, it's time to Ramble On and talk fantasy baseball.

V for Vendetta

The Jon loves to post this video whenever he gets a chance. And heck, the way Justin Verlander has been pitching lately, I'll go ahead and post the damn thing for The Jon.

For those who decided Verlander was "can't-hack-it-pantywaist who wears (his) mama's bra" you'd better think again. Verlander is back, baby. He is the real deal, son. He had 10ks in his start earlier this week, and over the last month his ERA has been around 3.00 and the WHIP is a crisp 1.14. His season statistics are still pretty atrocious, but we know Verlander is better than what those numbers portray. Hell, maybe this year he decided to stink in the beginning of the season, and save the best stuff for later. Either way, Verlander is back and I'm reaping all of the benefits.

Guess who leads the league in home runs over the last month?! OK, it's JD Drew (ugh). But whose tied for second? It's Grady Sizemore! Of course we didn't draft or keep Grady strictly for his power, it was everything else. Now only if he can keep building up that batting average. Having a .260 average as a leadoff hitter is not good.

Ugh! What, son?!

OK, maybe Juan Pierre has more hip hop knowledge than TheJon.

Once upon a time there lived a man who was considered one of the most underrated, yet very much appreciated in some circles, fantasy player named Juan Pierre. He was pretty much a poor man's Ichiro, with 50 less hits per year. He was dubbed Juan "Freedom" (creative, no? It's was PoiDog who coined this phrase) in the BaseballStars league , and it was the freedom he was given on the base paths that gave him tons of value. Heck, I think PoiDog even kept him one year. Or was that Scott Podsednik?

Anyway, back on point. If you didn't own Pierre, you probably didn't even think about him. That is unless you played the guy who used him against you. Then you saw what happened when Pierre went Hulk Hogan and ran wild on you. But for some reason, he started disappearing from fantasy rosters. Perhaps it was the influx of young talent whose hybrid skills combined power and speed, therefore making Pierre, he of the 55-plus stolen bases and 200 hits a year, nothing more than a bench player. And then when he was banished to Los Angeles last season, he was utilized less in the fantasy game. And at the start of the season he almost went Shawn Chacon or Latrell Sprewell on Joe Torre because the Dodgers had too many outfielders. His lack of playing time caused fantasy owners to cut ties and relegate him to the waiver wire.

But here we are, about two weeks from the all-star break, and Pierre has been scorching. He's got his playing time and has been using it to set the base paths ablaze. Pierre has 34 stolen bases this year (tied for second), and 15 over the last month, second only to supposed fantasy darling Michael Bourn, who has 16.

Jay Bruce > the rest of the MLB ... or not so much

Look at this bumbling idiot. His rant pretty much sums up the feelings of all fantasy baseballers about three weeks ago when "Bruce Almighty" burst onto the scene and mashed and raked his way into the hearts of the good people of fantasy land. He hit well over .500 for a week, then hit homers in three straight games and suddenly he'd become this year's Ryan Braun and in some people's minds perhaps the greatest player of all time.

Now look at you. Those same people are cutting Bruce like he's Johnny Cueto just because he's dipped under .300. His stats aren't pretty, but this is what you should have expected from Bruce from the start. He's a rookie. Deal with it.

At the moment I'm watching Pinkpop at tv. Metallica built the studio from Stichting Anger in Landgraaf for rehearsals and for a fee of 1,5 million euro they are promoting their new album and they get the airplay for their new songs. Hey, this one sounds like One. Hey, this one sounds like Enter Sandman. Maybe Jan Smeets can call Artilla Bookings for next year. He books Imitallica. Without the firework, but much cheaper.
