‘Bye da’ he told. After a hand-shake and a hug, I said ‘Bye’. As I mouthed those words, I could see him as an index of my change. We go back six long years, to the very day I discovered him. ‘Discovered’ is a very funny word to use.

The first time we spoke, it was way back in eleventh class, about God. Strangely, though he is a non-believer, it is God who bought me close to him and closer to everyone, through those discussions. I was still searching for an answer and he just seemed to have it.‘Can God create a stone which he cannot lift?’ he asked, flashing that sparkling smile across his face. Nah, you would not call it a sparkling smile. No one will. But when he made things simple you could see the simplicity in his face. Einstein told God doesn’t play dice. It might be due to his reasoning skills, but probability was something he excelled in. In the years to pass by, he taught me many concepts like permutations, probability, electro-chemistry, Optics etc. One aspect of our interaction never changed, I was always a student. I always imagined that life was about these great discussions with mathematics, physics, economics, politics, music, movies and memories. It would’ve been great if these conversations had been in one of those road-café’s in New York, Rome, London, Singapore or Bombay. But it happened in the back-benches of our class, which was fantastic.

If there was one movie that could bring us closer, it was Kamal Hassan’s ‘Anbe Sivam’. A movie made for us. It was a bridge that connected both our worlds and more importantly, made him see my world. The movie started defining our lives. A very funny co-incidence being that he is a die-hard communist and I love advertising. Isaiganani Ilayaraaja or Bach or Avial our minds and bodies twisted in the same way. With time, our friendship didn’t erode, at least so far.

Even I mistook his mannerisms for arrogance. Well, even though he has a right to be, it is just that he behaves like a kid. Be it gulping the larger share of Coke, fighting over popcorn, rushing for the window seat it was all his way of reconciling with the world, like mine is to write. As we moved towards the end of our schooling career, we suffered a ‘mild’ setback. Then, I saw a side of him I never knew he had. But, I’d been warned before. I saw him break down when all reason escaped him. To tide over bad times we spent our time together. I remember that I made a promise to myself, that my kids will learn math from him. He could’ve kicked some good ass in all those examinations, but I guess it turned out the right way.

Then we moved to same college. In the first year, we studied together. Even though my belief in God strengthened and my faith in capitalism grew, we never tried convincing each other. It was arguments and ideas that mattered. Finally, it would end up where it all began. A Point, which I believed in and he didn’t. He quipped ‘Maybe god wanted me to be an atheist.’ We grew slightly apart in the first year. Then in the second year we were room-mates. I became busy with my own world and he with his. Words needed effort. I was angry that even though he was a bed away it seemed like we didn’t know each other. As the days went by I felt it was all slipping. I used to come to the room when he’s asleep and slept through the morning. The best thing about great friendship is to share a moment of silence comfortably. It had been days since we discussed about God or Chemistry. It didn’t have any reason, I thought. But, I knew it was not true, there had to be one. Then, during the third year we saw each other only during our school meets in Chennai. Finally, I had to concede, time had dented our friendship.

In the final year, we both started developing another common interest. FOSS. FREE AND OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE, an idea that fascinated both of us. During the fourth year, I realized what I had lost. I was again tiding over tough times, this time he didn’t give me a call. It might have been due to the growing space between us, but for this one time he was not the teacher. I had initially thought the some relationships die over time and you cannot help it. But I realized that the least we can do is to make an conscious effort to hold together. Now, I look at a relationship’s ROI (Return on Investment). Obviously, not in terms of monetary returns.

I can’t still point out a single reason, but I guess he was a link between two of my worlds which I wanted to keep separate. Or he was a symbol of the past that I desperately wanted to wipe from my memory. But we both knew it was not because he was a commie or an atheist, neither of which I wasn’t. It was the bond that twined us.

And today he is leaving to Bangalore for work and I shall soon leave to Bombay. I am wondering how much we both have changed. He is wearing a T-shirt and I am wearing a shirt, a checked shirt. He didn’t rush for a front seat and I had come by foot. We both know that every small action is an indicator of your beliefs and ideals. Taken as a whole, they define you. The car slowly drifted away leaving me alone. I was staring at my own shadow formed by those yellow street lights. I wanted to feel a drop against my cheeks, but I didn’t. It will all be locked inside. I flagged down an auto.

‘Sir, ippo double rate sir’(Sir, Now its double the rate) he told me.

I retorted ‘Enna, Night-la rate kammiya’ (Is it less in the night?). He didn’t get the humour. But, I realized certain things will never change. They will remain the way they were.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Leaving for Mumbai this Thursday the 19th. Work starts next Monday. Amazing summer sales all over Chennai.

1. Why did you choose to study in Singapore?

A promethean way of thinking is how I started to look at things from the age of fifteen. Choosing to study in Singapore was also one of my decisions, which was arguably the best option at my fingertips after I completed my 12th grade at the DAV Matric Hr.Sec. School, Chennai.

I was never fascinated about studying in one of the 239 colleges in Tamilnadu (July 2005), work for a year with IT giants and fly to the USA to complete my masters. I just hope it is an obsolete expression regarding education at present. The reason why one should pursue a bachelor's degree, for e.g., an Electrical Engineering degree or why he should choose a bachelor of sciences in Physics is in oblivion. Being sentient about scoring well in examinations, a political apparat and personal ambitions lead me to fax my mark sheets late to the National University of Singapore. Now when I think about, what was my situation, a quote from the movie Matrix seems apt - "I do not see coincidence in any of the events, I see providence, I see purpose."

Ergo, I am in Singapore, having successfully completed three years of my B.E. Electrical Engineering at the National University of Singapore and starting my final year in August.

2. What do you think are the major advantages / disadvantages?

A diversified conglomerate cosmopolitan, Singapore is an amalgam of the learning infrastructure existing in both worlds together with a feeling of at-homeness and a strong sense of community.

Being a vignette for education, healthy competition in academics between Chinese, Indians, Malaysians and students from other nationalities, easier student visa rules, better student hostels and several bursaries and scholarship opportunities are some of the major advantages of studying in Singapore. Also, major institutions around the world are to set up campuses or chapters in their South-East Asian mega-polis.

Government-funded institutions make it mandatory for foreign students to stay and work in Singapore for three/six years after graduation, a provision which denies he/she from pursuing a higher degree course in different parts of the world immediately after undergraduate studies even though he might have a degree plus job experience in hand after three/six years. Continuous fee hike, be it tuition fee or hostel fee or travel expenses within Singapore is another major disadvantage for students aspiring to study in Singapore. Recently, there is a hike in food prices too, due to the discontinuation of rice export from India.

I personally feel it is difficult for most of the middle or lower class Indian families to afford the education rates with the increase in Singapore Dollar rates from INR 25 to INR 32 within the span of three years and is increasing further. But, there is always a positive way of looking at things, most of these disadvantages can be made to work completely in your favour, all you need to do is make a choice.

3. How did you pick the university you're studying in now?

Being in the best helps, it surely did in my case. DAV spoon fed ( pun intended ) its students by providing an opportunity for all to meet with the Admissions officer linked to the National University of Singapore, the place I study in. In a place which is critiqued about possesing the cream of the student population in Chennai (DAV), one would expect students to have stubborn ambitions. Interaction between classmates also lead me to know about other universities one could apply to. Basically getting to know stuff is quite a networking thing.

4. Overall .....?

Choice. The problem is choice. Once I made it I never thought of altering it but I am trying to justify as to why I made it. I hope when the dust settles, more number of students would aspire to study in Singapore!

Indie-crunk rockers Somersaults have finally released their long-awaited CD-R. I first heard the ban

Indie-crunk rockers Somersaults have finally released their long-awaited CD-R. I first heard the band way back in 2005 when they opened for Ted Leo and the Pharmacists in the Lafortune Ballroom. Over the next few months, I had the privilege of seeing them a couple of more times, until the inevitable post-graduation hiatus. These guys were a huge part of the campus music scene for me for the brief time such a "scene" existed for me. I'd offer my own limited knowledge of the band's history, but instead, Dav González gives us his own words on the band and their new album.

Somersaults formed in the summer of 2004 after the dissolution of the Mondays, of which Kevin and Nathan were a part. Spurred by a need to have fun and to create, I approached Kev and Nate, asking if I could play with them. They agreed, and after a game of freeze tag I worked up the nerve to ask to play music with them. Again, they agreed, and for the better part of a year we thrashed about, making noise, engendering tinnitus, and soaking ourselves in sweat. In our furor, Nathan broke his "drum stool," I went through 10+ packs of strings, and Kevin broke his glasses and the door handle of our practice space. (Many thanks to Maggie for getting us out, and for putting up with us in general.)

After some time we decided to buckle down and play some shows, which involved distilling our memorable themes into manageable pieces, especially the 40-minute beast that became "Iowa." After some distillation and performance, in the spirit of seriousness, we recorded four of our songs for the unreleased Songs of Travel EP, and decided to add a member. Come Fall of '05, decked in tight girl pants while making hooker and dead baby jokes, Jason sprung into Somersaults. We began to practice and perform regularly, birthing a good group of songs, and eventually recording most of them over two sessions at Carterco Studios in Chicago.

In terms of artistic intent, I think it is safe to say that there was none. This is not to say that the music was not cared for, or crafted. What I'm trying to say is that there was no conceptual end for which we were striving. Somersaults was purely emotional and reflexive.

Somersaults became a constant in my life, one that allowed venting of frustrations with relationships, school, work, family, and miscellaneous life events. There were times when the thought of practice, whether it be to introduce a new idea or to get really ****ing loud, was all that got me through the week. It is something that I was glad to be a part of, and am proud of looking back.

I mixed and mastered this collection to the best of my ability, which was limited considering I have no experience mastering audio. Mixing was also hard, given that our two Carterco visits were very rushed live recordings, played with substantially different equipment. Also, some data was lost, and I had to rerecord a few sections, including the complete replacement of Jason's voice with Kevin's on "Surgery." Despite all this, I'm content with the results (for the most part) and hope that these songs can come to play a part in your life as they did in mine.

Before we begin understanting Dynamic Application Virtualization, Let’s refresh virtualizat

Before we begin understanting Dynamic Application Virtualization, Let's refresh virtualization first.

Virtualization. The big Buzzword in computer system management . But what is virtualization?

There are several ways of virtualization in the IT business.

Quote from Wikipedia: "In computing, virtualization is a broad term that refers to the abstraction of computer resources." Another useful definition is "a technique for hiding the physical characteristics of computing resources from the way in which other systems, applications, or end users interact with those resources. This includes making a single physical resource (such as a server, an operating system, an application, or storage device) appear to function as multiple logical resources; or it can include making multiple physical resources (such as storage devices or servers) appear as a single logical resource."

First, let's categorize the different types of virtualization:

Hardware Virtualization

Presentation Virtualization

Connectivity Virtualization

Application Virtualization

Presentation Virtualization

In 2008 a new player comes to that market to provide application sharing without a Terminal server. You simply need a Windows XP machine, SVS, DAV (codename of the product) and an Internet connection.

Users get access to a website where they have to logon, and they have full access to all the applications that they share.

What is IBM Dynamic Application Virtualization?

IBM® Dynamic Application Virtualization provides the ability to off-load function calls in a computationally intensive application to remote, high-performance computation nodes, thereby significantly reducing time to deployment, with minimal code changes and disruption to business.

In financial services, IBM Dynamic Application Virtualization can help developers to quickly deploy new applications that take advantage of accelerated math libraries running on new or remote hardware systems. In particular, where original applications were not written to offload calculations to remote hardware, IBM Dynamic Application Virtualization can be used to prepare the application for invoking remote libraries, thereby avoiding a re-writing or customization of the original code base.

Specifically, this technology can cut down overall time to deployment for business-critical applications that require ultra-high speed and low latency; such applications include options pricing (for example, Monte Carlo simulations) and FIX message parsing. In the past, such applications may have required significant application development time, prolonging the potential for a return on new investment, sometimes making the project cost-prohibitive. By using IBM Dynamic Application Virtualization to call the remotely deployed application functions residing on high-performance computation nodes, combined with the low-latency infrastructure provided by IBM Dynamic Application Virtualization, application calculation times can also be reduced.

The technology virtualizes application libraries by examining the library's exported functions and capturing additional semantics. Library functions, when invoked from an application, appear to be executed locally, insulating developers from the specifics of the computation nodes and reducing the effort involved in calling remote functions.

IBM Dynamic Application Virtualization supports applications written in C/C++, Java™, and Excel spreadsheets (Visual Basic Application (VBA)), and it harnesses the power of the IBM BladeCenter® QS2X with Cell Broadband Engine™. The technology promotes heterogeneous adaptation; that is, it allows client applications running on one architecture (such as Intel®/Windows® XP) to execute functions hosted on a different architecture (such as Cell Broadband Engine).

How does it work?

IBM Dynamic Application Virtualization consists of an Eclipse plug-in called Tooling that virtualizes an application library by generating the appropriate client- and server-side code from the library specification (a C .h file). The Eclipse CDT is used to parse the customer library header file, and the user specifies additional semantics (such as array lengths). This latest update of IBM Dynamic Application Virtualization provides a semantics verifier within the Tooling plug-in that allows the library provider to test and verify the specified semantics locally before generating and deploying the server-side code. The Tooling component of IBM Dynamic Application Virtualization allows the generated client-side code to be linked with the client application, it builds the server-side code, and then this server-side code is deployed to the computation nodes.

The client-side code then prepares a computational request and sends it to the service broker, which selects an available computation node, passing the function parameters to the generated server-side code on the selected node. This generated server-side code invokes the application library to perform the actual computation. On completion, the result is sent back to the client application through the client-side generated code.

Also new in this update are support for requests from Linux® clients and the ability to run the Tooling component on a Linux client. Remote deployment is further simplified by a new tool that automates the distribution of Tooling-generated server-side code to computation nodes.

Your eyes are as bright as a star,
Whenever I see you I start blushin'
I just wan't to get you in my car.

Your breasts are as firm as a girder,
If you don't let me fuck you down this lane,

Hello and welcome to this week's edition of To Quote or Not to Quote with me, Montgomery C. Fishwick (MC Fishy). Today we will be discussing the quote if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen, which is an Indian term translated into English by Ramesh Pani of TightwithUK fame.

Ramesh (right) with the dictator of Uzbekistan, Luznikhamadityo Armstrong.

Ramesh Pani, known in the Western world as "Big Ramesh The Codebreaker" is an extremely talented Uzbekistani codebreaker and one of the only nerds that come from the Middle-East, the rest being either jihadist terrorists, amateur wrestlers, kebab shop owners or corner shop owners. He was hired by the Uzbeki dictator, Luznikamadityo Armstrong when he hacked into the U.S. CIA criminal database and assisted the assassination of Nicholas Jerry Jonas.

It is unknown why the assassination came about, but in an interview for Palestinian news network Al Jazeera, Pani said: Well, we had just gotten the channel [Disney] and I saw those Jonas Brothers guys on it, well I was utterly flabbaghasted to say the least. One of them had to be shot. Think i'll go with the gimpy curly haired one, the little one.

Nick went into hiding but was soon discovered.

Jerry Jonas, shortly after being found by Uzbeki officials

Ramesh is now one of Armstrong's most respected men and works directly with him on most military and political ops in Uzbekistan.

Sorry about the ramble ;p, more onto the quote:

May 25, 1994: Uncle Sameer's Tandoori Uncle Sameer who is a worldwide master chef introduces a new line of curry to his Tandoori sizzler restaurant: the Rogan Josh. Around the same time he hires his son-in-law, Huwie McNab.

Now Sameer married an English woman, and English people have built up a little bidda reputation in India for not being able to eat nice hot curries such as the bad-boy Vindaloo, or the Indian Whippersnapper.

It is said that Huwie McNab was slicing one of the most important ingredients of a Vindaloo, and one of India's most prized spices: the nut from the turd of a paki who has just eaten a strong curry.

Yes, it's aroma, it's delicate smooth nutty texture means that this spice is in almost every curry dish, albeit at altered spices. This badboy came from the bowels of an ill Indian man who had just polished off one of the spiciest Vindaloos known to man - and boy was it spicy.

these type of turds are the best ones for collecting nuts

Huwie McNab sliced into the spicy wee nut, his hands shaking, panting and sweating from the heat that was radiating from this Eastern nut of pride. "Here goes" he said and he plunged his knife right into the centre of this nut. Squeals were heard from miles around as the nut was punctured and it's spicy aroma was released in a plume into the air.

"Go on lad, Huwie! Go on lad! Collect the aroma!" I yelled to him, but it was too late. Young Huwie was having a panic attack, probably because of a blend between the nutty aroma, the concept of what he was dealing with and the heat that radiated from this thing. He started asking me where his happy days were. I knew the worst had happened.

The incident drove our Huwie to do things he wouldnt normally do.

Huwie was later diagnosed with a form of shock which can be caused by exposure to radiation. He recalls nothing about the incident.

The restaurant owner, who was frustrated with Huwie for not getting on with his work and making a fuss thought he was playing around and yelled jokingly "If you can't handle the heat.." before one of his co-workers were reported to have yelled "..GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN" as he realised that Huwie had let the violent plume of tagnut get into the air.

The quote is still used today, but if you use it just remember about Huwie McNab and what happened to him. There are three morals to this story.

1) Never go near a Paki's shit
2) Never work with pakis
3) Don't mess with Pakis.

The owner of the restaurant, Sameer was arrested shortly after when the shell of the tagnut was discovered in his restaurant. Indian-shit tagnuts are contraband in the United Kingdom and he is serving a hefty sentence for use of illegal substances in his restaurant.

Hello there, and welcome to the first edition of the new literature craze, To Quote Or Not To Quote,

Hello there, and welcome to the first edition of the new literature craze, To Quote Or Not To Quote, with me, Dave "Spanky" Rotten. In this 4-part adventure you will twist and turn as you find out the origins, meanings and deeper meanings behind quotes you know and love.

THIS WEEKS QUOTE IS: Curiosity Killed The Cat

Now ever since I was just a young boy playing on the swings at Stormin' Norman's World of Adventure, I have always loved this quote. I'm not sure why, I guess it just reminds me of Snowy my cat who was unfortunately killed in a road accident in June 1993.

a cat similar to the one owned by me back in '93.

Anyway, i'd always thought to myself that this quote meant that curiosity was sometimes a dangerous think and that it did indeed kill the proverbial cat, and that you should indeed be cautious when dabbling with the drug we know as curiosity. Of course, a little bit of curiosity never hurt anyone, take the time when I heard my mum making moaning sounds and had a cheeky peek into her room where I saw a big black man under the influence refuelling at her station for example. Nothing became of that apart from I was sectioned in a mental asylum when my mum found me with an erection shortly after the incident.

I would like to talk about the origin of the saying. Some say it was from a chinese proverb, Chowshin Khi Tzan which can roughly translate into English as "wheres me egg foo young, luv". It is said that the cat meat in the Egg Fu Yung came from the cat killed by curiosity, the legendary cat (no, not the legendary dogs from pokémon). Others may argue that the phrase was first coined by Winston Churchill when he talking to Adolf Hitler's mum on MSN asking for advice on how to tackle her rebellious son. It is thought that she said "just be curious at all times, big Winst" to which Churchill replied, "Yes, Mrs. Hitler, although we must not forget - curiosity killed the cat". These would be the last words Churchill ever typed on MSN.

The now world-famous phrase echoes throughout school hallways all over the world, and it's origin is not fully known although philosophers lean towards the Winston Theory. A report into the case, done by Jude Webster in 1999 proves nothing but Winston's love for the feline species, but reports written by a Nazi General in 1943 may suggest that Hitler had several sexual relationship with cats.

picture of Winston Hard Churchill in his glory days

Now, the origin of the quote may be misleading but we now need to infer - was it a proverbial cat killed in the great Curiosity Killing of 1666 or did an actual member of the feline mammal class lose it's life? Of course, we have to take a number of factors into consideration:

1. Cats Have Nine Lives - Curiosity may have only killed one of the cats nine lives. If this was the case, then the phrase should be deemed invalid as the cat wasn't quintessentially killed. However, if the cat was on it's ninth and final life, the mistake it made on the massive field when Wee Jockie Campbell led out his team of curious cats will prove to be fatal.

2. Was the cat jocking on someone's bitchass? - Several eye witness reports from the battle in 1666 state that they witnessed the head cat in Jockie's curious cats, Felix (made famous from his own brand of cat food released) was jocking on someone's bitchass. Felix was caught with his Wee Willie Winkie out on the battlefield secreting his sweet, salty venom onto a deceased member of the opposition. Curiosity may not have killed the cat, rather a very angry man indeed when he saw the cat jocking on his boyfriend's bitchass.

We can only come to one conclusion, which is the conclusion that many philosophers and scientists have came to over the years:

Curiosity killed one cat, whether it be real or proverbial and it will certainly take another victim. No-one knows how, where or when, but the cruel, cruel curiosity will strike again. So don't be curious.

When he returned he found Vera had fallen asleep in her armchair. He tried to wake her up but she did not move and when he felt for pulse it wasn't there. Vera had died peacefully in her sleep. She was 70 years old. Although initially shaken, Jack remained calm and kept Vera warm and when Molly and Tyrone arrived with drinks for a celebration Jack broke the news to them. An emotional Tyrone fetched Paul from work who too broke down in tears. When the paramedics arrived they explained that Vera had died from heart failure in her sleep but said that she hadn't experienced any pain. When a concerned Betty, Emily, Rita, Dev and Roy saw the ambulance outside Jack came out and told them that Vera had passed away. They expressed their condolences and shock that Vera had gone. News quickly spread around Weatherfield. One time enemies, Paul and Tyrone, united to comfort each other and Jack ended up in the yard, talking to his pigeons in tears, saying how beautiful Vera was and how much he loved her.

DAV, thats the 2500 words report I am doing now and this screwed up internet system in the school ain't helping much. Frankly, 2500 words is nothing in SHATEC and secondary school but here, it's an endless process of writing abit, stop, find theories to support what you just wrote. Flipping books, articles, journals while writing can be a real pain in the ass but still I have to finish the report by tonight for I have 2 more coming my way.

It's been almost a year, with 76 days remaining before I return home for my dissertation, god bless me.

Dear Friends and Wanderingvets:

There is a small town of just over 2,400 people called Guerneville, California. Make sure you pronounce it Gurn-ville...or they may stress you out about it.

As they are driving around with their yellow ribbons in support of the troops, planning the 4th of July Parade, taking Veterans Day off from work... others have been busy, it seems. Some of these wonderful people took time off from their busy schedules and recently aided in protesting the construction of a Home for War Veterans. They are worried that the Veterans, suffering from Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, will start committing Suicide! Murder! Mayhem! in their small, scenic community.

Of course I would imagine that this wonderful community, if asked, would all say that they support Veterans.

Nadia McCaffery, the mother of a soldier killed in Iraq, wants to set up at least three group homes around the country where vets with PTSD can live temporarily, virtually for free, while they study at college or work on a farm. Donations are paying for the projects, she said.

McCaffery has answered numerous questions, been to hearings and has been issued a building permit. She has a building under construction to house six PTSD diagnosed Veterans.

A stop work order was given by Sonoma County.

The county issued the stop-work order because the project exceeded the scope of the plans that were filed, said Shems Peterson, Sonoma County supervising building inspector. Among other things, the project had unauthorized plumbing. Also, a wall meant to divert landslides was deemed insufficient. Nothing that cannot be overcome, it seems.

Neighbors have complained about the need to cut down several Redwoods to make way for the home, the lack of parking and the size of the building, which would house six veterans. (These Redwoods must be even more special than the ones that were recently razed for new home construction within one tenth of a mile of the McCaffery building site.)

For some reason, all sorts of questions have arisen, such as: Who will be on the board of directors? Who is the president of the board? Who will staff the facility? What brand of dishwashing liquid will they use?

McCaffrey said screening would be done by veterans and a psychiatrist, and supervision would come in the form of volunteers from a nearby veteran's clinic. "We will not accept anyone who is not completely functional," she said.

I imagine that the good citizens of Guerneville, CA must be the most conscientious of people when it comes to donating to non-profits and charities if they demand all this information every time there is a decision to be made regarding charitable effort.

Of course the local PTSD specialist (not), who happens to live across the street from the half completed veterans housing, said:

"One person was concerned that even firecrackers would set these people off,"

AND THAT

"Generally PTSD guys are normal people. But," he added, "some are shell-shocked and they need to be in an institution."

Has this fellow been watching re-runs of Platoon? Does he think Rambo is going to come through his living room from across the street? I do hope this man is not left on the streets too much longer himself. Actually, someone from his town needs to stop by and check on his mental health.

The only issue here is that a woman has decided to do something great for Veterans. For that, members of a community are coming down on her head and terrific vision.

I do not understand, in a society where other sufferers of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder are free to live wherever they choose (as they should), how Veterans, those who have fought for those freedoms, are singled out and considered suspect and unworthy. PTSD is a wound that is not limited to those who have served in the military; it affects those who have been involved in a threatening, harmful and traumatically stressful experience - hence, the name. I would imagine that even in Guerneville, CA , those who suffer from it are welcome, and without protest.

Perhaps just not those suffering from combat-related PTSD.

Is this the motto of Guerneville? "Bring our troops home... just not to our town!!!"

Or, will someone or some group in Guerneville, California come forward and do the right thing for Nadia McCaffery and those Veterans she is going to aid?

To be honest I was expecting the building to have a ton of war items in it but that is not their main focus there however, there was a small museum with a few personal items along with donated Harley Davidson models. When we first walked in you are greeted by the sectary who was very busy person, Then we moved to an area where they update membership information along with postage, this is crucial because most of their funds about 80% come from donations. We then went to the mail room and spent the next 30 minutes learning the process of the mail room how things get mailed and such, to whom and why. After all that we went into their meeting room and talked about what they might went in the island, although Matt didn’t offer a lot to work with. He basically told us to do what we thought would be great and left it at that. The only thing was I wish we could have gone earlier in the quarter to see what went on in a daily basis and who we were working for so to speak.
