Tang faces three counts - two under the Human Organ Transplant Act which bans the sale of human organs, and another for making a false declaration.

He is said to have arranged with Wang Chin Sing, Whang Sung Lin and other persons to get a kidney from a living donor, Indonesian Sulaiman Damanik, 26, between April and June 19.

The charge states that he agreed to pay $300,000 to Wang for 'the supply' of the kidney from Mr Sulaiman in June.

The second charge accuses him of lying to the Commissioner for Oaths that he did not pay any money to procure the organ and that he was related to Mr Sulaiman.

On the third charge, he is said to have also lied in his application to the transplant ethics committee. (story)

5. Star Shield - Be sure that your star shield won't go to a waste because this is very useful especially when you are at the first place. Because the UFO always attack the first placer

6. Be friendly to others - Because if you are not friendly.... You always get kick in a room XD

7. Gamepad - I suggest that you buy a gamepad because when your hands ache. It can affect your gameplay XD. And it is not to pricey at cd-r king :)

On Sunday, I went to meet up with dear after she touched down. I met up with her mum at the arrival area before she drove us back to her house. Dear bought quite a number of stuff back for me. I'm so glad she's back safe and sound. Let's take a look at the stuff she bought.

She bought a green shirt, a white couple tee and two housings for my phone.

After she packed and showered, we left for Bugis. We walked around before we had our dinner at Seafood Harvest. We ordered wrongly but the meal was good. We had Seafood Platter for 2 and a 'chocolate cake with moist chocolate'. I can't remember the name but it tasted good! She took a picture of the lights there, which look unique.

After the meal, we looked around. We spotted a perfume sales at the forum area by Tangs. She brought a Burberry Brit perfume for her brother and we bought CK perfume each. It came up to quite an amount on the bill although it's much cheaper than the DFS (Duty Free Shop). Anyway, they came with a number of free gifts too.

The CK One perfume I got came along with a CK bag and I got another travel bag too. The salesgirl was asking her to travel overseas with the new bags, when she just came back on the day itself! We saw my classmates but we didn't join them. It was pretty late already so I guessed it was better to head back instead.

Anyway, it's 3.50 in the morning. I shall drag myself up in another 2 to 3 hours time to run and practice some ball drills. My aim is to get my accuracy lock back in. Hopefully, I can wake up successfully.

Answer (b) isozymes

                                           Lactate Dehydrogenase LDH1  (MMMM)

Isozymes or Isoenzymes are proteins with different structure which catalyze the same reaction. Frequently they are oligomers made with different polypeptide chains, so they usually differ in regulatory mechanisms and in kinetic characteristics.

From the physiological point of view, isozymes allow the existence of similar enzymes with different characteristics, “customized” to specific tissue requirements or metabolic conditions.

One example of the advantages of having isoenzymes for adjusting the metabolism to different conditions and/ or in different organs is the following:

Glucokinase and Hexokinase are typical examples of isoenzymes. In fact, there are four Hexokinases: I, II, III and IV. Hexokinase I is present in all mammalian tissues, and Hexokinase IV, aka Glucokinase, is found mainly in liver, pancreas and brain.

Both enzymes catalyze the phosphorylation of Glucose:

Glucose + ATP -----à Glucose 6 (P) + ADP

Hexokinase I has a low Km and is inhibited by glucose 6 (P).  Glucokinase is not inhibited by Glucose 6 (P) and his Km is high. These two facts indicate that the activity of glucokinase depends on the availability of substrate and not on the demand of the product.

Since Glucokinase is not inhibited by glucose 6 phosphate, in conditions of high concentrations of glucose this enzyme continues phosphorylating glucose, which can be used for glycogen synthesis in liver. Additionally, since Glucokinase has a high Km, its activity does not compromise the supply of glucose to other organs; in other words, if Glucokinase had a low Km, and since it is not inhibited by its product, it would continue converting glucose to glucose 6 phosphate in the liver, making glucose unavailable for other organs (remember that after meals, glucose arrives first to the liver through the portal system).

Since isoenzymes have different tissue distributions, their study is an important tool in assessing the damage to specific organs.

Examples of the diagnostic use of isoenzymes are the study of Lactate Dehydrogenase and Creatine Kinase.

Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH)

It is formed by the association of five peptide chains of two different kinds of monomers: M and H

The variants seen in humans are:

LDH1: M M M M (abundant in heart, brain erythrocytes; around 33% of serum LDH)

LDH2: M M M H (abundant in heart, brain erythrocytes; around 45% of serum LDH)

LDH3: M M H H (abundant in brain, kidneys, lung; around 18 % of serum LDH)

LDH4: M H H H ((abundant in liver, skeletal muscle, kidney; around 3% of serum LDH)

LDH5: H H H H ((abundant in liver, skeletal muscle, ileum; around 1 % of serum LDH)

In myocardial infarction, Total LDH increases, and since heart muscle contains more LDH1 than LDH2, LDH1 becomes greater than LDH2 between 12 and 24 hours, after the infarction, so the ratio LDH1/LDH2 becomes higher than 1 and will stay flipped for several days.

 An increase of LDH 5 in serum is seen in different hepatic pathologies: cirrhosis, hepatitis and others. An increase of LDH5 in heart diseases usually indicates secondary congestive liver involvement.

Creatine Kinase :

Creatine Kinase (CK) aka Creatine phosphokinase (CPK) is a similar example: three isoenzymes formed by combinations of different subunits:

CK1 (BB) is abundant in brain and smooth muscle (practically absent form serum)

CK2 (MB) is abundant in cardiac muscle, some in skeletal muscle (practically absent from serum)

CK3 (MM) is abundant in skeletal muscle and cardiac muscle (practically 100 % of serum CK)

They can be differentiated based on their different electrophoretic mobility.

The primary clinical use of CK studies is the diagnosis of Myocardial Infarction,

(increased in the MB variant), but CK is also increased in different conditions

as muscular diseases and traumas (MM and MB) and brain trauma and brain surgery (BB). 

CK2 appears in serum within 6 hours after the myocardial infarction and is cleared after 24 to 48 hours. A persistence of CK2 in serum indicates extension of the infarction to other areas or another infarction.

Answer: The spectrum of opinion in the US is very broad, ranging from those who don't believe in any restrictions on gun ownership to those who believe private ownership of guns should be outlawed. Today, I used the kirkland conditioner as a rinseout for the last time. It smells alright, albeit a bit too floral for my tastes but not horrendously so, and it seems to moisturize well but it's just that, alright. Granted it isn't ridiculously expensive at just $6.99 for two massive bottles, but it's still $6.99 on a mediocre product. Since costco has a killer return policy, I'm going to get my money back.

For stylers I used 2 dime blobs of Target brand KY jelly (CK substitute), 2 golfball sized blobs of HEBE, and finished it off with 2 half dollar blobs of GFSCC. I don't feel any guilt whatsoever using massive amounts of products I'm iffy about. My hair looked alright after taking it out of the plop, but I really wasn't expecting much. I did my usual clip and diffuse and headed to work. My hair felt coated and heavy with all the products but surprisingly enough, it dried with a good amount of volume. The left side of my hair even had more sporadic ringlets than usual. By the end of the day, my hair was still quite wavy, but with about 50% more frizz than usual. The waves were frizzy/defined waves and while it smelled good, it still felt producty.

Tomorrow, I have my first Devacut at Capella salon in Studio City with Keyonna. I'm so excited and nervous!

However, I gotta say, I love the textures and detail in this line.

I would love to subscribe to Creating Keppsakes and Memory Makers, but they are just too expensive. It seems like they are getting smaller and smaller (somebody said Memory Makers was only 90 pages this last time) and full of more ads and less actual content.

This is where I stand as a subscriber as of today: I have a free sub to CK from an album I bought at target awhile back. But I won’t subscribe to it when it runs out unless I get an offer that is CHEAP. I used to get MM (because I could get cheap subscriptions), but I don’t anymore. I’d like to- I love flipping through the mag, but again- too $$$. I am actually subscribing to Scrapbooks Etc. though. I don’t like the content as much as CK and MM- it tends to all look the same to me- but I got it really cheap online.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but don’t you think the layouts have gotten a bit ridiculous lately (in all the magazines)? I mean, I don’t have $30 and 6 hours to spend buying all top-of-the-line product and painstakingly creating my pages and I don’t get much enjoyment out of looking at those kinds of layouts. Yeah, they’re pretty and all (sometimes), but to me they just make me feel overwhelmed and like I’m not doing enough in my own scrapbooking. And, uh, does anyone do traditional, real scrapbooking anymore? Almost all layouts in magazines are single pictures, blown up to 8×10 and are about somebody’s favorite shoes or their personality. Yeah, it’s nice if you have the time to do these kinds of pages, but as for me, I have a stack of thousands of photos waiting for me to scrap them. Things like birthdays and trips to the zoo.

If you ask me, the mags are losing their subscribers because the only people who make pages like the ones in the magazines are the people who have pages in the magazines. Just my opinion. : )
