English abstract: Fujitsu Lifebook P1620 is shipping to Germany now, slightly different software specs (no Evernote or OneNote). Test device shipping to has arrived at Tablet-Profi.com, first look impressions as soon as possible.

Vor gut drei Jahren hat Fujitsu Siemens seinen ersten 8,9-Zoll-Tablet-auf den internationalen Markt gebracht, das Lifebook P1510 (siehe mein Testbericht im Notebookjournal). Nach dem P1610 mit Core Solo-Prozessor hat FSC die Modellpflege weitergeführt und auf der Cebit 2008 vor sechs Wochen den P1620 vorgestellt. Jetzt ist ein Testgerät auf dem Weg zu bei Tablet-Profi.com angekommen. Nach Aussagen der Pressestelle kann das Lifebook bereits bei FSC bestellt werden, die Produktseiten sind seit heute online.

Die technischen Highlights

Ein Intel ULV U7600 (1.2GHz) Prozessor, 8,9-Zoll-WXGA-Display mit erhöhter Auflösung von 1280 x 786 Bildpunkten statt 1024 x 600 und ein optional eingebautes UMTS-Modem. Der Bildschirm lässt sich in beide Richtung drehen, so dass ein versehentliches Abbrechen durch zu kräftiges Drehen in die falsche Richtung nicht mehr vorkommen kann. Das Display soll heller sein, eine LED-Hintergrundbeleuchtung hat es aber offenbar nicht. Per Preis soll über 2000 Euro liegen.

Das vorinstallierte Windows Vista Business (alternativ XP Tablet PC Edition) lässt sich neben dem Trackpoint auch direkt auf dem Display mit einem gewöhnlichen Stift oder direkt mit den Fingern bedienen. Ernüchternd sind die Laufzeitangaben für Vista-Nutzer: Laut Datenblatt hält der sechs-Zellen-Akku unter Vista bis zu 7 Stunden durch - unter XP aber bis zu 9 Stunden. Hier sind wir gespannt auf unsere eigenen Testergebnisse.

Weitere Funktionen: WLAN (a/b/g, kein n), Gigabit-LAN, Bluetooth 2.0, UMTS-Modem (UMTS, GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA bis 7,2 MBit/s). Unklar ist, ob es sich beim mitgelieferten Port-Replikator um eine neue Version handelt oder ob das bereits für den P1510 verfügbare, der eher minderwertig anmutende Plastikklotz, weiterverwendet werden kann.

Laut Datenblatt ist auf der US-Version des P1620 Evernote Plus installiert, ein recht nützliches Notizprogramm, das Text in Bildern erkennt und handschriftliche Notizen erfassen und umwandeln kann. Alternativ ist je nach Modell OneNote 2007 aufgespielt. In der deutschen Version ist beides nicht vorhanden.

Zum Abschluss ein wenig O-Ton aus der Pressemitteilung, der  gewöhnlich die Positionierung des Gerätes durch den Hersteller erkennen lässt:

Ein erster Eindruck folgt, sobald das Gerät eingetroffen ist.

Auf der Cebit vor sechs Wochen hat Toshiba den M700 Tablet PC (convertible) bereits gezeigt, allerdings im nur dem Fachpublikum zugänglichen Händlerpark. Dort machte es auf mich beim kurzen Ausprobieren einen ausgereiften und handlichen Eindruck. Jetzt hat Toshiba es mittels einer Pressemitteilung offiziell vorgestellt. Verfügbar ist es allerdings noch nicht, sondern voraussichtlich erst in etwa ein bis zwei Wochen.

Wesentliche Neuerung des zwei Kilo schweren Santa-Rosa Tablet PCs (Intel 965-Chipsatz mit X3100-Grafik) ist der Penryn-Prozessor T8300 Core 2 Duo (45nm-CPU mit 2,4 GHz bei 800 MHz FSB, 3 MB L2 Cache, Intel VT Virtualisierung), der den T7500 ersetzt. Die unverbindliche Preisempfehlung liegt bei 2500 Euro, der Straßenpreis wird deutlich darunter liegen. Werkseitig sind 2x1 GB DDR2 667 RAM verbaut, beide Steckplätze sind für die Erweiterung auf maximal 4 GB zugänglich. Das Notebook wird mit Vista Business ausgeliefert, für den reibungslosen Wechsel auf einen Akku-schonenenderes Betriebssystem liegt eine XP Tablet PC Edition Recovery-DVD bei. Die SATA-Festplatte hat eine Kapazität von 160 GB, offenbar ein 2,5 Zoll-Modell.

Der 12,1 Zoll Bildschirm mit angenehmer Auflösung von 1280 x 800 Punkten ist reflektierend. Toshiba will dieses Manko mit der LED-Hintergrundbeleuchtung ausgleichen, um das M700 auch bei Sonnenlicht bedienen zu können. In der Messehalle im März machte das Display einen guten Eindruck, aber hier wird erst ein Test Genaueres zur Outdoor-Tauglichkeit ergeben. Ein Testgerät ist bereits angefragt.

In der Schweiz wird das M700 (anders als in Deutschland) laut Infoweek mit einem Dual-Touchscreen ausgeliefert und ist sowohl mit dem Finger oder einem normalen Stift als auch mit einem Digitizer für druckempfindliches Schreiben und Malen zu bedienen. Tatsächlich ist es bei Toshiba üblich, die Notebooks in den einzelnen Ländern unterschiedlich konfiguriert auszuliefern. Warum beim M700 einen so wesentlichen Unterschied gibt, konnte die Pressestelle auf Nachfrage nicht erklären.

Die Kommunikationsfähigkeiten sind umfassend, neben Modem und Gigabit-LAN zählen dazu WLAN nach den Standards 802.11a/b/g/Draft-N, Bluetooth und 3G WWAN (UMTS, EDGE, GPRS, HSDPA). Weitere Schnittstellen sind USB (drei), VGA-Anschluss, FireWire und ein 5in1 Kartenslot für Speicherkarten (für die Formate SD, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, MMC und xD). DVI ist nur über einen optionalen Portreplikator oder eine Dockingstation möglich. Ein DVD-Laufwerk (DVD+/-RW, Double Layer) ist eingebaut. Der DVD-Schacht nimmt alternativ einen optionalen 6-Zellen-Akku mit 4000 mAh auf. Zur Akku-Laufzeit liegen keine Angaben vor, nicht einmal zur Stärke des eingebauten Akkus. Im Shop des TabletStore sind für das Vorgänger-Modell in der Standardausstattung 4,7 Stunden angegeben. Unklar ist, ob der Wert unter XP oder Vista gemessen wurde, so dass die neue Laufzeit unter Vista nicht unbedingt über diesem recht guten Wert liegt.

Zu den physischen Sicherheitsfunktionen zählen Schlag- und Stoß-Schutz für die Festplatte sowie eine Spritzwasser geschützte Tastatur. Desweiteren sind "Device Access Control" und Login per Unterschrift oder Fingerabdruck integriert.

Die vorinstallierte Software ist wie bei Toshiba üblich sehr umfangreich und umfasst neben zahlreichen eigenen hauseigenen Tools das DVD-Abspielprogramm WinDVD sowie Demos von Symantec Internet Security 2007 (90 Tage) und Office 2007 Professional (60 Tage) .

Toshiba stellt nur 32-Bit-Treiber für Windows XP und Vista zur Verfügung, so dass ein maximaler Speicherausbau auf 4 GB wenig Sinn macht.

Clevo showed the 12 inch convertible Tablet PC "TN120R" at Cebit in Hannover, several favorable reports have appeared on the web, e.g. on Gottabemobile or Slashgear ("amazing").

The device is already available in Germany, you can buy it in the web shop of German assembler Schenker ("MySN") based in Leipzig. Pricing starts with 699 Euro (currently around 1100 US-$) including a Celeron M540 (1.86 GHz) CPU, 1 Gig of RAM, 120 GB HD, no WLAN, no OS. High end version with Core 2 Duo T9500 (Penryn) at 2.6 GHz, 6 MB L3 Cache and 800 MHz FSB, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB SSD, Intel WLAN 4965a/g/n and Vista Ultimate currently costs 2,199 Euro (3450 US-$).

The TN120R is a 12 inch Tablet with 1280x800 screen resolution (no info of brightness) and a weight of 2.1 kg. The TN120R is based on Intel GM965 chipset. It includes X3100 graphics (no dedicated RAM), a 2 Megapixel webcam, Bluetooth, 7in1 card reader, 3 USB ports, FireWire, GigLAN, 56k modem, DVD burner and a digitizer pen. Optional components are CPU, WLAN, HD size, RAM, 3G. Drivers are available for Windows XP (x86) and Windows Vista (x86 and x64).

Lowlight seems to be the battery which is a 4-cell 2200 mAh thing.

Conclusion

Tablet PCs will get more awareness for the mainstream users due to the affordable pricing. You can get a decent Tablet for under 1000 Euro. This should effect prices of business tablets and increase market share of Tablets.

Flybook has updated its 8.9 inch Tablet PC model "V5" at CES in January (Core 2 Duo CPU ULV U7600 with 1.2 GHz, Intel 945 chipset, 80 Gig default HD and 1.3 megapixel webcam), it is now available in Germany. At Cebit we heard that a SanDisk SSD will be available as an option "soon".

V5 to be followed by V6 based Intel Centrino 2 platform

More interesting, Flybook is currently developing next incarnation of their stylish Tablets, to be called V6, Product Manager Moreno Lizzi told me at Cebit. The display will be improved, being "sunlight readable".

More important, V6 will be based on new Montevina platform from Intel, Moreno said. He has no specific launch date but said, "as soon as there is an ULV version of the CPU" - Intel plans to launch Montevina, also called Centrino 2, in June.

Other news: most popular colors among Flybook buyers are gold and pink, Flybook notebooks for European market are assembled in Italy, docking stations are considered, news bags are being selected.

Subnotebook é o nome dado aos pequenos e leves computadores portáteis que ficaram famosos graças à linha Eee PC, da Asus, e do XO, o laptop popular da OLPC, conforme pode ser lido na Wikipédia.

Segundo o site Techtree, como novidades o modelo PC 900 traz uma CPU Intel mais rápida, 1 GB de memória RAM (o dobro comparado à versão anterior), um drive SSD de 12 GB e tela de 9 polegadas com resolução máxima de 1024x768, além de um aumento no rendimento da bateria.

O aparelho estará disponível na Europa em diversas cores a partir de abril, em versão Linux e Windows (XP). O aparelho com Linux será lançado por 399 euros (o equivalente a US$ 612), enquanto a opção com o sistema da Microsoft ainda não teve preço definido, noticiou o site Hexus.

CeBIT, Sydney 2008 changed my life, no doubt about it…

Top international speakers like Jason Calacanis, Aust. government representatives like Senator Conroy and Lindsay Tanner were the tip of the ice berg.

A big congratulations to the GoodBarry team for winning the tech ramp compeition, where start ups pitch their ideas to a panel, the Good Barry guys killed it.

From where I was the verdict was unanimous, Jason Calacanis, was suitable impressed and offered to introduce the team to some PEOPLE state side.

Good to hear that they are already cash positive, have just set up an office in San Fran and have a great looking, easy to use product.

Below is a list of the direct changes CeBIT has had on my life, a bit of a wrap you might say…

What a busy few days.

I just got back from filming and editing for CeBIT TV, Sydney, 2008.

What a great international ICT event.

We had four video teams capturing all of the action of the three days, seminars, key notes, VIP tours and interviews, business owners, senior management and spokes people.

Among some of the amazing stories and guests I got to shoot, edit and work with, one interview in question stands out.

The Hon. Lindsay Tanner, Minister for Finance and Deregulation, talking about the current impact of the incumbent Telco monopoly on competition really made an impact.

It supports some of my theories presented here some months ago, it was very intense to hear the Minister confirm some of my previous ponderings.

En un mercado donde los productos buscan ser cada vez más pequeños y compactos, como los teléfonos móviles, algunas personas tienen dificultades para digitar en esas diminutas teclas y ver en esas mini-pantallas, especialmente personas de la tercera edad con dificultades para ver y escuchar ó incluso tal vez alguien con dedos más gruesos de lo normal. Para ellos llegó Big Easy2, un móvil de grandes proporciones que fué presentado en Hannover en la pasada feria CeBIT 2008.

Como características ópticas resaltan sus grandes teclas de 11x15 mm y una gran tecla de contestar o recibir de 25x15 mm separadas a una distancia razonable y que además son iluminadas y audibles al espichar. Su pantalla LED monocromática muestra grandes números de 46x26 mm, suficientes como para ver claramente los números. También cuenta con unas características audibles "mejoradas" como su gran sistema de altavoz ubicado en la parte trasera y con volumen ajustable, incluso en versión fuerte. Tiene un motor para generar una fuerte vibración y llamar rápidamente la atención. Todo lo necesario para ser completamente accesible por todas las personas.

Tiene funciones de S.O.S. por medio de tres teclas programables principales justo debajo de la pantalla, pensadas como acceso rápido o marcación directa en situaciones de emergencia a centros médicos o momentos que se requieran primeros auxilios, incluso sus nueve teclas también se pueden programar en modo marcación rápida o directa. Las teclas de ON y OFF se presentan en botones separados y en diferente color. Viene incluso con un cordón para ser colgado alrededor del cuello.

Como datos técnicos resaltan su gran tamaño de 6,8 x 17,9 x 2,3 centímetros. Pesa 194 gramos y genera una baja radiación SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) para la zona de la cabeza por la posición de su antena. Su batería le proporciona largo tiempo de funcionamiento, aproximadamente 5 días en stad-by y 5 horas en tiempo de conversación. Fabricado en Alemania

Conoces los ratones del futuro? Los Swiftpoint es una propuesta. Tal como los veis, un poco extraños verdad?

Los periféricos de entrada (entre los que podemos listar: teclado, ratón, cámara web, escáner, micrófono, joystick, pantalla táctil, escáner de código de barras y los más recientes touchpad, usados en los equipos portátiles) los hemos visto evolucionar con el paso del tiempo, volviéndose cada vez más ergonómicos y cómodos. Los ratones en especial han cambiado de forma desde su creación en el año de 1968 en el Stanford Research Institute en California, pero estos últimos modelos si es un "cambio radical".

La propuesta fue presentada en la pasada Feria Internacional CeBIT 2008 por una empresa llamada Simtrix con sede en Nueva Zelanda, la cual se especializa en el diseño y comercialización de tecnologías de Interacción Hombre-Máquina (HCI), la cual consta de dos modelos de ratones, el Swiftpoint Slider y el Swiftpoint TriPed, que ofrecen mayor precisión, eficiencia y multifuncionalidad de la mano de un diseño muy compacto e intuitivo. Son la alternativa que intenta sustituir al ratón normal, al lápiz óptico y al touchpad de los portátiles.

El modelo Swiftpoint Slider (que en la imagen superior aparece en la parte de arriba) se coloca en el dedo pulgar y puede ser deslizado sobre cualquier superficie, inclusive sobre el teclado del portátil (como veréis en el video) ya que no hay necesidad de soltarlo para teclear o usarse como un lápiz óptico. El modelo Swiftpoint TriPed (que en la imagen superior aparece en la parte de abajo) está más enfocado para ser usado en equipos de pantalla táctil como lápiz óptico, para eso lleva una especie de "puntas o cuernos" especialmente diseñados, uno grueso para deslizarse sobre la pantalla y otro más delgado para las labores que requieran mayor precisión. Este modelo si requiere de pad o superficie para ser usado como mouse normal. Ambos funcionan sin cables (no especifican si por Bluetooth o radiofrecuencia) y utilizan un sistema magnético para localizar su posición.

Tanto Microsoft como Logitech están evaluando su lanzamiento comercial, asegura Grant Odgers, inventor neozelandés creador de los dispositivos, que además afirma que al usarlos se aumenta la productividad y se reducen considerablemente los daños en la muñeca ocasionados por movimientos repetitivos. De momento no hay fecha de salida ni mucho menos precio, pero desde ya se espera que sean un éxito en ventas.

Thanks to the company I work in I was able to visit the Cebit2008 exhibition in Hannover last week. I've been there for three days - that is not really enough to see everything but I have some remarks that I would like to share with in a quick manner ;) :

What I really liked:

• the city - tidy, with outstanding communication - subway,trams,buses - I could get fast everywhere I wanted,
• the fairground (Messe) - really huge and some of the halls were really impressive - especially the huge wooden roof above one of them,
• the germans have 'ordnung' (order) everywhere - nothing is a coincidence - they have everything arranged and ready to rock,
• some of the exhibitors had some really nice booths - T-mobile and samsung generally kicked ass,
• new asus laptops (the small ones with leather) - great designs and small sizes,
• the olympus e420 with the 50mm pancake lens - cool product - good that Olympus resurected the Pancake:),
• the samsung quad-hd 50 inch display - well that wasn't the most reasonable thing out there (imagine that there is no way to record and hold the data of this quality - blu-ray discs are only 25gigs ;)) - but anyways it looked great,
• a big SUN container on a trailer which acted as a liquid-cooled mobile server :-) cool idea and it really worked,
• iF Design exhibition (the hall was always empty:)) where you could see and touch everything listed in the iF Product Design Yearbook 2008,
• IBM booth - everyone could see most of their high tech servers and storage solutions - working and running - and the staff was trained to answer all geek questions - good!

And what I didn't:

• the weather and german food,
• everything was extremely crowded,
• Samsung didn't show the cell phones they were yelling about - they didn't want to confirm them either,
• Sony's response to iPhone - the Xperia X1 was shown to the public - but it didn't work - what a shame... the forgot about batteries,
• the design of new Sonyericsson mobiles - awful!
• EEEEEEEEEEE PC - that is so awful - it looks and works worse than most of it's chinese competitors !!!
• the Asus Lamborghini models and accessories - still look like crap,
• Microsoft and other software companies had really ugly booths,
• Huge amounts of modded cases/computers/laptops - without any style i guess - just some bling-bling with thousands of colors,
• Benchmarks of the new Geforce (which you could see on several booths - like asus) - the 9800gx2 - were disappointing - the card runs only 30% faster than a 8800gtx - a shame - I hope it was a bad dream and they will do something with the drivers...the card inspite of having two chips has only two ramdacs (my guess) so it has only two monitor interfaces (a fact) - instead of four...another disadvantage.
• Intel called their new products ATOM - the name resembles me of the RSS competitor atom... not really a good one - they should stick to Pentium and Core2.

Hannover, 12 (AE) - "Eu vivi quatro grandes revoluções: o computador pessoal, a interface gráfica (com mouse, ícones e janelas), a explosão da internet e a web 2.0. Agora estamos à beira da quinta revolução, em que o software será capaz de adivinhar o que a pessoa deseja fazer. Ela dirá: 'Quero ir para Hannover' e o software reservará automaticamente as passagens e o hotel." Foi com essa previsão nada modesta que o presidente da Microsoft, Steve Ballmer, abriu a igualmente imodesta feira CeBIT 2008, na Alemanha: com 5.845 empresas distribuídas por 27 pavilhões, numa área total de 241 mil metros quadrados, a CeBIT é o maior evento de tecnologia do mundo.

Tem de tudo por aqui: de estandes chineses vendendo quinquilharias como pen drives e clones do iPod (pela primeira vez a China assumiu a liderança em número de empresas na CeBIT) às últimas novidades em televisões e celulares, passando por tecnologias irresistivelmente futuristas - como o computador ao lado, controlado pela mente (basta "pensar" para mover o cursor do mouse).

Era uma demonstração não muito longe da realidade: na feira a empresa asiática OCZ anunciou o lançamento de uma versão mais simples desse controle "mental", que poderá ser usada para jogar games e custará US$ 300. Talvez os computadores estejam realmente começando a nos entender.

As primeiras máquinas realmente inteligentes serão, é claro, enormes e muito caras. Como o supercomputador Jugene, que é o segundo mais rápido do mundo (só perde para uma máquina do Exército dos EUA) e acaba de ser inaugurado em Jülich (oeste da Alemanha). Ele é capaz de fazer 167 trilhões de cálculos por segundo, 4.300 vezes mais do que o PC mais possante disponível no mercado.

O Jugene é acachapante. Um conjunto de monólitos negros que fica numa sala refrigerada e lembra bastante, ao menos na aparência, o imponente computador HAL, do clássico "2001: Uma Odisséia no Espaço".

Outra novidade de arrepiar é o vídeo de ultra-alta definição: cientistas alemães demonstraram uma tela que atinge 5 mil linhas de resolução. É cinco vezes mais do que a HDTV (TV digital de alta definição que acaba de chegar ao Brasil) e chega a provocar uma certa vertigem.

Nesta edição, confira tudo o que rolou na CeBIT, em Hannover, e algumas das novas tecnologias, em uma verdadeira maratona high-tech, de mais de 1.000 km, pelas principais cidades alemãs.

SanDisk anunció en CeBIT 2008 que Motion Computing, fabricante de computadoras tablet, seleccionó la unidad de estado sólido (SSD) de 32GB de SanDisk para su nueva tablet PC móvil F5. Como una adición importante para los usuarios de PCs en industrias como servicio, fabricación, gobierno y construcción, la SSD 5000 1.8 UATA 32GB ofrece a los usuarios mayor durabilidad, mejor desempeño y excelente aprovechamiento de la energía.

El nuevo dispositivo busca ser un balance entre los dispositivos comerciales y PCs resistentes, que cuenta con las características costosas que se requieren normalmente en sólo un pequeño porcentaje de aplicaciones de campo. Además de la SSD 5000 1.8 UATA 32GB, SanDisk ofrece una serie de soluciones SSD que incluye a los ganadores del Innovations 2008 Award de la Consumer Electronics Association (CEA): la SSD SanDisk 64 GB SATA 5000 de 2.5 pulgadas, ganadora en la categoría “Periféricos de Computadora”, y el Vaulter Disk, el máximo ganador de la categoría “Tecnologías Avanzadas”.

FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Investigadores alemães fizeram uma batida em 51 estandes da CeBIT, maior feira tecnológica européia, em Hanover, Alemanha, procurando produtos com suspeita de quebra de patentes, afirmou a polícia de Hanover na quinta-feira.

Cerca de 183 policiais, clientes e agentes da promotoria alemã invadiram a feira na quarta-feira e apreenderam seis caixas de produtos eletrônicos e documentos incluindo telefones celulares, aparelhos de navegação, porta-retratos digitais e monitores de tela plana.

A polícia de Hanover afirmou em comunicado que o motivo da batida foi o alto número de queixas por parte dos donos de patentes na organização da feira, que tem crescido há anos.

Das 51 empresas revistadas, 24 eram chinesas, incluindo três de Hong Kong, 12 de Taiwan, nove alemãs, uma da Polônia, uma da Coréia e uma da Holanda.

A maior parte das patentes é relacionada a aparelhos com funções padrão MP3, MP4 e DVB para áudio e vídeo digital, copiadores de CDs e DVDs, afirmou a polícia.

Vinte pessoas foram intimadas a pagar um depósito de mil euros (1,5 mil dólares). A maioria cooperou exceto uma pessoa, que fio levada para interrogatório e depois liberada.

Os envolvidos podem ser condenados a até 5 anos de prisão ou pagamento de multa, caso sejam considerados culpados.

Esses acadêmicos, suas máquinas e reflexões maravilhosas!

Quando Erika Palomino "multidisciplinou"

Sempre que alguém, que já passou dos 30, me pergunta onde poderia encontrar algo inovador e irreverente, eu raramente me recordo da região da baixa Augusta e daqueles tipos trends com identidades compradas na MTV, tão pouco algum dance-floor merece destaque, nenhuma banda indie ou o nome de qualquer jornalista, muito menos estilista, geralmente me vem a cabeça os acadêmicos e olha que nem faço parte do time.

Eles sempre foram vanguarda, mas em geral a mídia dominante nos anos 80/90, teimou em colocá-los de escanteio, classificando-os como caretas, herméticos e verborrágicos. Agora, estão cada vez mais em evidência em qualquer área do conhecimento humano, ainda mais nos dias atuais, onde informação é poder. Eles já estavam pensando há anos e com seriedade, os possíveis caminhos pelos quais entraríamos nesse século XXI. Até a odiada e amada caçadora de hype, a fashionista Erika Palomino, afirmou na edição de dezembro da Key, que agora a sua revista é multidisciplinar, termo mais acadêmico, impossível! Seria nada moderno, na boca de qualquer clubber dos anos 90.

ReacTable, porque "moderno" de verdade não é mega, é multi!

A grande sensação na CEBIT 2008, a maior feira tecnológica do mundo que acontece até domingo em Hannover, Alemanha, aponta para um futuro sem fios onde as TELAS SENSÍVEIS AO TOQUE passarão a controlar as máquinas. Sim, os computadores estão mais sensíveis e querem ser tocados! Lembram de Tommy (The Who), o Pinball Wizard, que em 1969 cantava, me veja, me sinta, me toque?! Claro que não, né?! Bem, antes dos desfiles de moda dominarem a área criativa das performances populares, as bandas de rock tinham a fórmula desses eventos, com interpretações teatrais e óperas rock . O grupo musical inglês, The Who, foi pioneiro nesse tipo de produção artística.

Quem, assim como eu, visitou o FILE 2007 (Festival Internacional de Linguagens Eletrônicas), na Galeria do Sesi, aqui em SP, teve oportunidade de brincar com um aparelho inventado pela equipe de investigadores da Universidade Pompeu Fabra de Barcelona.
Sergi Jordà, Marcos Alonso, Günter Geiger y Martin Kalternbrunner, criaram um instrumento de música eletrônica colaborativo, com uma interface de mesa MULTITOQUE. Além de tudo, o brinquedo é open soucer e MULTIPLATAFORMA.

O deslizar de pequenos cubos coloridos sobre uma mesa luminosa, cria sonoridades. A melhor maneira de entender o equipamento é assistindo ao vídeo do You Tube acima. Além das deliciosas imagens que os sons provocam, o reacTable é um instrumento intuitivo, sem manual de instruções, que pode ser usado por novatos e músicos profissionais.

O aparelhinho rodou os principais festivais de arte e tecnologia, como o Ars Electronica (Linz, Austria), Sonar (Barcelona), Siggraph (Boston) e Transmediale ( Berlim), mas em 2007, a cantora Björk, descobriu o instrumento através dos vídeos do YouTube e passou a utilizá-lo nas turnês mundiais.

Antes de desligar seu computador, abrace-o com carinho, as máquinas querem ser tocadas de forma mais intensa!

Hier ein Überblick über die besuchten Stände (chronologisch):

Halle 4: Der Stand von Big M$ (Microsoft) war die erste Station des Rundgangs. Zu bestaunen gab es alle Informationen rund um Windows Vista, Technische Lösungen für Mobile Endgeräte, Zukunftsweisende Anwendungen bis hin zu einer Präsentationsfläche mit riesiger Videowall.
Leider fehlte ein Exponat welches ich gerne näher betrachtet hätte und zwar wäre das Surface, der Computer der 5. Computerrevolution. schade eigentlich.

Halle 6: G-Data, einer der größten Antivieren-Software-Spezialisten zeigte sich und damit auch ein alter Bekannter. Rudolph Back seines Zeichens Moderator des ComputerClub2 bei NRW.tv, stellte zusammen mit zwei weiteren Moderatoren ein "Fliegenden-Auge", einem Fluggerät mit angebrachter Kamera, vor. Gesteuert wurde das Gerät wie ein Modellflugzeug. Mit diesem Gerät wäre es möglich verdächtige Personen unauffällig zu beschatten oder an schwer zugänglichen Orten nach überlebenden einer Katastrophe zu suchen.

Halle 9: Ganz im Zeichen der "Green-IT" wurden hier ökologische Technologien vorgeführt. Ein Aussteller faszinierte mich durch eine Benutzerschnittstelle ähnlich Microsofts Prototypen Surface. Vielleicht nicht so weit entwickelt aber dennoch recht interessant. Gezeigt wurde ein Drahtgittermodell im Aufbau einem Spinnennetz gleichkommend. Wenn man nun einen Gitterpunkt mit dem Finger zu sich zog so veränderte das Modell seine Form wie ein gespanntes Gummituch. Die Steuerung war ziemlich Präzise.

Halle 14: Internet wo und wann man will jederzeit. Gerade zu Hause möchte man von dem Kabelgewirr abstand nehmen und so konnte man sich am Stand von Netgear und AVM (FritzBox) über kommende Geräte informieren. Ich habe mich besonders darüber gefreut und bin immer noch erstaunt das es bald schon möglich sein wird in bis zu 50km entfernung zu stitzen und per Notebook über seinen Internet-Zugang zu Hause zu surfen. Möglich macht das neue Standards im Bereich WLAN.

Pavilion 33: Die Schlange vor dem Intel Pavilion hielt mich beinahe davon ab hineinzuschauen in die Welt des größten Prozessorherstellers. Doch ging es schnell voran und ich befand mich in der Welt der Nullen und Einsen. Zu Bestaunen gab es viele schnelle Computersysteme mit Intel Prozessoren, deren Geschichte und eine Präsentation die ich aber nicht ganz mitverfolgen konnte. An den zahlreichen Stationen konnte man die neuesten Computergames zocken und hatte die Möglichkeit in einem Formel 1 Auto sitzend einige Runden auf einem Virtuellen Parcour zu drehen.

Pavilion 32: "Es ist für dich!" unter diesem Motto steht Arcors neue Werbekampagne. Ich warf einen Blick hinein in die Welt meines Providers und wer überrascht als plötzlich der Sänger von "Ich und Ich" auf der Bühne stand, dieser gab gerade seinen Song "Stark" zum besten.
Wahnsinn und ich war nur 5 Meter entfernt. Eigentlich hätte ich bei dieser Gelegenheit einen der Ansprechpartner fragen können warum ich immernoch kein DSL16000 bestellen kann aber bei den Massen im Pavilion war daran nicht zu denken.

Halle 25: Nach diesem Highlight bei Arcor erholte ich mich erst einmal in der wirklich phantastisch designten Vodafone Standfläche. Der Boden wechselte beim Betreten seine Farbe hin zum Vodafone Rot und überall standen Dschungel- und Bambuspflanzen. Endlich konnte ich mich genauer informieren welche Tarife für mobiles Internet angeboten werden. Vielleicht entschließe ich mich ja zum Abschluss eines Vertrag, mal schauen.
Gleich um die Ecke folgte die Welt von Technisat. In Wohnlicher Atmosphäre erkundigte ich mich nach den neuesten Produkten und konnte , anders als in der Firma, endlich auch einmal der Fragensteller sein. Ich nahm noch mehrere Produktkataloge mit und registrierte mich für ein Gewinnspiel für ein "Internet Radio 1" außerdem konnte ich ein MP3 PlayerCase und mehrere begehrte Technisat Stoffbeutel abstauben.

Halle 26: Gleich eine Halle weiter folgte der Stand von Panasonic. Dort gab es mehrere Full-HD Geräte zu bestaunen, einer davon war mit seinen 2,20 Bildschirmdiagonale kaum zu übersehen. Außerdem gab es ein Gerät mit Ultra-HD (4-fache HD) Auflösung zu bestaunen. Also wer da noch einen Pixel gesehen hat der spinnt. Leider war ein bekannter Präsentator den ich von der ModeHeimHandwerk kenne nicht anwesend ich hätte mich gerne mit ihm unterhalten.
Die Welt von T-Mobile offerierte einem die Welt des iPhones. Gerne nahm ich es unter die Lupe und hätte es gerne mitgenommen aber soetwas geht nun mal nicht ohne mit der Security in Kontakt zu treten, also ließ ich es bleiben. Erstaunlich war es zudem das man kostenlos über die Zahlreich ausgestellten Handys kostenlos telefonieren konnte. Ich ergriff direkt die Chance zu einem kostenlosen Telefonat über ein N95 von Nokia.
Apropo Nokia auch diese Firma war neben Samsung, LG, Motorola und weiteren vertreten allerdings hielt sich die Standfläche mit ca. 20qm2 in Grenzen , woran das nur liegen konnte. Auf jeden Fall erhielt man hier kostenlose Musik aus dem Nokia Musikstore. Die Schlange hielt mich allerdings davon ab und weiter ging es zu den "Handdywiesen" der anderen Hesteller. Wirklich neues gab es nicht denn DBT-H ist schon lange bekannt und UMTS in aller Munde aber die Geräte wirken wesendlich robuster und edler als früher.

Halle 22: Wo Intel ist darf AMD nicht fehlen. In Halle 22 erhielt man einen Eindruck von der Power der neuesten Prozessoren und Grafikkarten aus dem Hause AMD/ATI. Das ganze kam einer Spielhalle gleich. Überall wurden Matches ausgetragen und man konnte, wie schon bei Intel , selber die neuesten Games antesten. Zum zocken darf natürlich auch eines nicht fehlen und zwar eine gamerfreundliche Maus. Der Hersteller Razer präsentierte seine neuesten Mäuse. Sie sind wirklich angenehm in der Hand zu führen und versprechen sehr reaktionsfreudig zu sein.

Halle 18: Jeder der schon einmal ein Laptop hatte wird sich vermutlich nach einer Externen Festplatte umgesehen haben. Auch ich habe einen 250GB Großen Datenspeicher in gebrauch und zwar von der Firma Trekstor. Am Stand von Trekstor konnte man schon etwas neidisch werden. Speicher in Hülle und Fülle gab es zu bestaunen. Von der "kleinen" Festplatte im 1,8" Format über die üblichen Externen 2,5" Festplatten mit bis zu 250GB bis hin zu großen DataBackupsystem mit weit über 1TB war alles vertreten. Das Besondere waren die unterschiedlichen Gehäuse mit denen die Festplatten geschützt werden, edler als gebürstetes Aluminium oder Edelstahl geht auch z.B. hochglänzend mit einem Lackgehäuse. Da wird es mal wieder Zeit das ich mir eine neue, größere, Platte zulege.
Am Rande gab es, zu dem Zeitpunkt als ich mich an Stand war. übrigends den Auftritt von Mola Adebisi.

Damit beendete ich die Reise über die CeBIT 2008. Natürlich habe ich noch viele viele weitere Stände besucht, diese hier allerdings aufzulisten wäre schierer Wahnsinn. Die CeBIT so weis ich heute, steht für phänomenale Technik, Überfüllte Messehallen, endlos lange Wege und die totale Reizüberflutung. Ich denke und hoffe ich konnte euch einen kleinen Einblick über über die faszinierenden Eindrücke die ich sammeln konnte geben. Ganze 6 Stunden bin ich von der einen zur nächsten Halle gerannt. Auf dem Weg konnte ich tausende Kugelschreiber, CDs, Prospekte und Tragetaschen sammeln vor allem aber hatte ich die Möglichkeit die Geräte und Techniken hautnah zu erleben und zu sehen was noch alles kommt und was heute schon möglich ist, dies ist einfach unbezahlbar. Schade das die Zeit nicht ausgereicht hat um auch wirklich alles zu sehen aber ich denke dafür müsste man 2-3 Tage investieren.
Jetzt freue ich mich die Füße hochlegen zu können und werde mir noch die Wok-WM reinziehen. Also denn...
