Medical Transcription Outsourcing Benefits Oklahoma :

Medical Transcription Outsourcing Benefits Oklahoma :

A leading medical transcription service provider to individual doctors and state-of-the-art hospitals in Oklahoma, call our toll free number 1-877-323-4707 and reap the benefits of cost savings of up to 58%.

YOU BENEFIT 58% ON COST & OTHER SAVINGS

IN-HOUSE LABOUR COSTS: The major part of the expense incurred, is the wages paid to a medical transcriber, costing the company US $.26890 annually, add to that the other costs in the form of benefit expenses of 5%, the payroll taxes of 2% on the wages, and the sick/ vacation allowances that will add to the total cost of US $.29810 annually.

IN-HOUSE EQUIPMENT COSTS: The investment into equipment such as the workman’s computer, dictation and transcription equipment and miscellaneous software will cost another US $.1450, and assuming that such equipment will serve the company for the next three years, the depreciation value of 33% or US $ 478.50 will have to be added to the operational cost annually..

IN-HOUSE ‘OTHER’ COSTS: The other add on expenditures are in the form of monthly office rentals, employees training expense on software’s installed, fees paid to the technical experts for maintenance of computers and transcription equipment, and finally the cost of stationary and other miscellaneous expenditure costing a total US.$7500 annually.

IN-HOUSE ANNUAL EXPENDITURE: Thus the estimated total expenditure, that will cost a hospital or a health care provider in operating an in- house medical transcription process in a state like OKLAHOMA can be roughly assumed to be US$ 38,557or more annually, and for the purpose of trying to analyze the cost that an in-house transcription process may incur for transcribing a single line of a Medical record, let us first split the annual expenditure of US $. 37,585 by 52 weeks of a calendar year, which will work out to US $ 723 a week, and if one considers that a medical transcriber is able to transcribe 4000 lines of medical records a week, a simple math calculation will tell us that a single line of transcription can cost an in-house medical transcription process $ 0.18 cents, and when you compare that to the $ 0.08cents we charge for a single line of transcription, a hospital or a healthcare provider in OKLAHOMA will save a mammoth 58% of costs by outsourcing the medical transcription requirements of the hospital to us.

Apart from Cost & Monetary savings of 58%, healthcare organizations and providers will be able to direct their full attention to more important activities (patient care) while back-office functions (like transcription and billing) are contracted out or outsourced to organizations such as ours which specialize only in that particular function.

The challenging task of digitizing patient information and retaining them as Electronic Medical Records ( EMR) will put a strain on the time and resources of medical organizations, and with stringent government regulations in force, setting up a full medical transcription process will further add to expensive investments in the form of transcription equipment and expensive human resources. EMR is a computer application with which all of the medical records related to the patient care can be entered and stored. It is a full fledged system that includes all the patient's health care records, such as admission and progress notes, operation notes, anesthesia notes, discharge summaries, and nurses' records. And for the physicians to enter orders related to patient care, medications, therapies, diagnostic tests, a comprehensive Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) will have to be functional.

Assigning medical transcription work to off-shore companies, under such circumstances will prove to be immensely beneficial, saving costs and valuable time. Hospitals and Healthcare organizations can now divert their valuable time and energies towards research and providing improved standards of healthcare to their patients.

With the federal government urging the health industry to replace paper-based patient files with digital records, and with the administration last year setting a time limit for most Americans to have electronic health records by 2014, off shore companies with low-cost labor and overheads will be in the forefront helping the health industry in the US cut down costs in providing best health care facilities to its citizens, the federal government also estimates that billions of dollars can be saved annually in the United States by digitizing patient information and deploying the IT sector, which can help reduce medical errors, costs, and waste.

In conclusion, it can be assumed that outsourcing non-core functions like transcription and billing can assist healthcare organizations grow in size and operations enabling them to direct their attention to core activities of patient’s welfare at a fraction of a cost.

Posted by Tilia

I'm a little more than casually irritated by this. I honestly don't know if I can even be friends with MG anymore. Perhaps the Army has just brainwashed the guy beyond recognition, but his logic and the way he handles conversations has just become beyond the point of tolerance.

He asked me (with seeming interest) about Guitar Guy, and how things ended up going with him, so I gave him the cliffs notes version of the Final Night post, on AIM.

"You're evil," he said, with what I assumed was a joking tone. He's said before that it was my responsibility to totally wash my hands of Guitar Guy as soon as I found out that he had a girlfriend, which I completely disagree with.

The way I see it, Guitar Guy's relationship is Guitar Guy's responsibility. I'm totally single, and therefore I've done nothing wrong. In fact, if I'd known about the girlfriend from the beginning, chances are I wouldn't have let things go as far as they did in the sexual tension/growing affection arena, but I didn't.

I didn't, but even if I'd been aware of it from Day 1, it's still not my responsibility.

However, every sensible, logical example I gave him, he responded to with astounding ignorance. "It makes no sense," I said, "to beat the hell out of the guy your girlfriend cheated on you with."

To this he replies, "Yes, it fucking does! I'd beat up a guy who stole my wallet, and someone trying to steal my girlfriend is worse than trying to steal my wallet."

Yeah ... um, your wallet is a thing. It has no emotional obligation to staying in your pocket, asshole.

And this hypothetical guy has no obligation to you at all. He's not your girlfriend; he's not cheating on you, he's just satisfying an itch you clearly weren't scratching.

You might want to talk to your girlfriend about why you're not enough for her, since that's clearly what's gone on.

She's the Gwag, and should've dumped you before hooking up with Hypothetical Guy.

I even asked a friend, unfamiliar with the situation, what his opinion was. When he agreed with me and I sent the conversation to MG, he called us "a bunch of retards," and claimed that karma will get us cheated on.

Since the concept of instant karma tends to be interpreted as eye-for-eye, that doesn't make any sense. In fact, the worst we'd experience is some really hot temptation when we're unable to partake of it, due to a relationship.

In which case, I'd hope I would be non-hypocritical enough to break off whatever farce I'm participating in, since obviously (as in the case with Guitar Guy) my would-be relationship would have, at this point, become more about comfort than about satisfaction and worthwhile-ness.

I think it pisses me off more, not that he believes this shit, but that he honestly thinks I'm the minority and very unusual for my point of view on it.

Anyway, since I'm not going to tolerate being called names by someone who clearly has no grip on reality, I ended the conversation, and possibly the friendship too.

I have some current frustrations. They’ve been weighing on my mind a little. Okay, that

I have some current frustrations. They've been weighing on my mind a little. Okay, that's a lie, a lot. Some things that have been really bothering me lately is brother's birthday coming up (mentioned in first blog post), my weight, money, nonexistent love life, friendships, spirituality, I think those are the main things. Which is pretty much everything.

We'll start with the brother's birthday. Aug. 5. I'm kind of happy it's coming, but not since he won't be here. Something I do love about his birthday that we do is we still celebrate it. We buy a cake, buy a present to take out to the cemetery to put on his grave site. To think. It would've been 21 this year. It sucks, in short. Man, I miss him a bunch. I'm pretty sure if he was here A LOT of things would be different. Virtually everything would be different. Even though he had a speech impediment he still gave EVERYTHING his all. I wish I could do that more often. It's one of my goals.

Next, my weight. Since I was around 12 years old, I've been having problems with my weight. It all started when I started hanging out with a certain someone. If I hadn't of met her I probably would of never gotten to the weights I've been and am. Recently, I found out my exact weight according to the doctor's scale. It sucked to read the digits on the screen. 170 pounds. I don't look like I weigh that much. It was really disappointing because I've been working my butt off trying to lose weight and I'm still not at the weight I should be with all the stuff I've been doing. I'm still doing the majority of the same stuff I was doing, and I'm seem to be losing more weight, but then I get on the scale and the freaking thing hasn't budged! Man. This sucks. I wanted to have a flat tummy by the time my Sophomore year of college which is approximately a month. I'm closer than I was, but still the same weight. I can feel my clothes fitting differently and feeling looser, but I hate that my weight on the scale hasn't budged. I realized that muscle weighs more than fat, but it's nerve wracking. I know I've lost weight, because people comment about it, and people solemn recognize me when I see them unless I'm with my parents or I say something. The only way some people recognize me is because of my eye color and that's it.

We're going a little out of order now. We'll go to Spirituality. I'm not as close to God as I was hoping I would be this summer. There's more things pulling me from Him then pulling me toward Him. It's like a circle; I'll feel close one day and the next, I'll feel distant. It's just...I don't know. In everything I do I ask Him to help me. I say, "God, help me do this. Help me do this the way You want me to do it." And I feel nothing. A void is the only way to explain, but it's not really a void, but close. I just wish God would show himself to me the way He does for others. I'm trying and I don't want to fail. Failure is NOT an option.

Friendships. I never realized how hard some of them are to keep with distance. Cellphones, Face book, and MySpace really help with keeping in touch, but it gets annoying checking them. It sucks watching friends come and go, but it's the cycle of life. Unfortunately.

Money. Money is the product of the devil in my eyes. Everything is based on it. There is almost nothing that is free. There are so many things I wish I could get or even try. Some people just don't realize how good they have it. People born with money especially don't seem to realize how lucky they were. I wish I could walk into Macy's and buy that $1,000 black dress and wear it to the hottest party in NYC, but I'll probably ever have that chance. I can only dream.

Last but certainly not least. My nonexistent love life. I really thought a year ago that I'd have a boyfriend or at least a love interest. I really have neither. I have guys that I think are attractive that I wish I could date. I doubt half the guys that I would like to date would date me or so it seems. I try to show them I'm interested without being overly obvious, just enough to show I'm interested. I haven't had a boyfriend since I was 12! So, it makes me think it's my weight. People say, "No, you're a very attractive girl. You're just shy, that's all. If I were a guy I'd date you." or if it's a guy friends, "You're a very attractive girl. If you weren't like a sister to me and if we had mutually feelings for each other. I'd date you." Stuff like that all the time. I admit I'm shy, but there's this girl who's triple the amount of shy then I am, and she has had guys tell her to her face that they like her or at least to her good friend. I've had ZERO guys do that to me. The only reason I can come up with is that she's thin. Really thin, but healthy. Me. Not so much. I have a little extra baggage that I'm trying to get off and slowly am getting successful. At times, I seriously feel like I'm going to be single forever. I know I won't, but sometimes I can't help, but to think it. Another thing that sucks is that I found out earlier this summer that one of the guys I had a crush on, has a girlfriend. as for how long they've been dating, I don't know. That's a bit heartbreaking. I'm really trying to stay optimist and am trying to be more optimistic.

For the record, something that has kept me optimistic is my niece, nephew, and Chihuahuas. My niece and nephew for when they give me a hug, and when they play with their toys; takes me back to the days when things were simple and carefree before the adult world. My Chihuahuas, you see, my dog recently had puppies, and unfortunately, only one survived. It was a small litter: two puppies. I was the one who had to take care of the dead puppy. She kind of reminded that no matter how healthy you seems things can abruptly come to an end. That's just logistics. The puppy's buried in the backyard by a bush. The mommy Chihuahua, in a sense, inspires me. Seeing the way she takes care of her pup. Protective, but able to leave her side and not having much of a worry and to come back and just lay next to her, and she actually lets the daddy Chihuahua see her sometimes. So cute to watch. Who knew that a baby Chihuahua puppy could be as much fun as watching a baby human grow? I didn't. It's an amazing thing. When my parents down and talk with me helps too. For now, I'm out. I'll be back.

This Bastard reporter traveled to Austin, Texas, to get the scoop on the new wind power project to bring much needed electricity to sprawling urban areas.

I met with Patrick Woodson, vice president of E.On Climate & Renewables North America, who had this to say:

“Ya know, folks think ‘bout the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns and all the ‘Big Oil’ in these here Southern parts, but, in ‘round 10 ‘er so years, they’ll be stewin’ on the new ‘lectricity this here plan is gonna have for them. That orta put a bee in their bonnets!”

Not speaking ‘Texan’ myself, I simply tried to follow every other word and piece together a reasonable understanding of what he was saying.

I also wrote down the exact words used in this conversation to let you try as well.

If you are a Texan, it should be especially easy for you. If you are not, then your guess is as good as mine.

When I asked him what the plan is for this new concept for creating electricity, he gave me this answer:

“Well, ya see young man, we’s gonna take all them Congress folks, Demicrats an Publicans alike, long with all the other big wigs and the no count Presydent hisself, and put ‘em all on top those two hills.

Get the Demicrats and whatnots on one hilltop and the Publicans and their whatnots on the othern. Then, we gets them to start bickerin’ back an forth at ones nother ’ bout gay marriage or sums such, and they’ll power them big windmills out there.

Ain’t nothin’ more powerful than the wind comin’ out the mouth of the evil bunch from Worshington! Ain’t no winds blow any harder than what they’s a spewin’!”

When I asked what all this means for the sprawling urban public, he smiled, spit out some of his chewing tobacco, lifted his cowboy hat, scratched his scalp, and turned to look off into the distance for a short while, as he said, “Well….”

After nearly 10 minutes, when he finally turned back to face me, he completed his thought as such:

“I guess it means they’ll be a drawin’ ‘bout somewhere ‘round 18,000 of them there megeewatts. That’s a gonna light up 4 million ‘er so homes ‘round here, ya know? I think that’s a good thang, don’t you? Perty fancy ‘rithmetic, though. Perty fancy.”

“Shore is,” said Drew Thornley, a policy analyst for the organization, as he sat down next to Mr. Woodson.

“But, ya know what?,” Mr. Thornley continued, “The wind don’t blow an the sun don’t shine all the time! We’s gonna hafta still make use of natral reserces. We can’t has perfek weather all the time. Even in Texas!”

“But we sure got the purtiest bluebonnets ya ever did see,” added Mr. Woodson.

I thanked them both, borrowed a handkerchief from Mr. Woodson to wipe his tobacco spit off my shoe, and made my way to the airport.

All in all, this Bastard reporter is truly amazed that inbred southerners can be creative while mentally incompetent at the same time.

This falls into the category of "yes, this show really existed." After ABC did a successful made-for-TV movie where Jan and Marcia Brady both got married (not to each other), the network greenlit a spinoff where Marcia, Jan and their wussy husbands all have to share one house to save money. Shot before a live audience and full of cutesy innuendo, it was like a bad late '60s sitcom had a bastard child with a bad early '80s sitcom. Eve Plumb and Maureen McCormick looked good, though. In this episode, creator/showrunner Sherwood Schwartz goes back to that old sitcom standby, "characters appear on a popular gameshow," with disastrous results! Oh, and with special guest star Bob Eubanks, host of The Newlywed Game.

If you want to just skip to the part where they appear on the actual Newlywed Game, that section is in parts 2 and 3 (below the "more"), but at least watch the opening, where Schwartz rewrites the Brady theme song to get in even more exposition than you'd have believed possible.

A couple of days ago, Daily News blogger Will Bunch brought up an interesting point about the connec

A couple of days ago, Daily News blogger Will Bunch brought up an interesting point about the connection between gas prices and urban renewal.

In a post that pivots off of some grim news for the city of Pittsburgh (and aside from the Penguins, what news from Pittsburgh hasn't been grim?), Bunch points out that places like the Steel City could be poised to take advantage of skyrocketing gas prices:

...virtually every newspaper in America is running an article about a flood of commuters flocking to trains or buses. But for the millions of Americans who work in the suburbs or live in one without trains or inadequate bus service, that's not an option. Clearly, the best way to decrease energy use would be to get more people to live in so-called "livable cities" where stores and entertainment are walkable and where mass transit is also on the table. A place like Pittsburgh, for example.

...

So you have to wonder what's the best way to get people out of their gas-guzzling cars and into livable cities like Pittsburgh as the available housing stock rises, and with undercrowded schools. Will the free market solve that problem at $5 gas (or $15 gas), or is their a role for government in encouraging re-population of these shrinking cities, without hurting the folks who live there now.

It's also worth asking that question about the livable city I'm in right now - Philadelphia. The story of this region has been dictated over the past 6 decades by an unholy combination of (in no particular order): racism, space-ism, corruption, tax policy, and service delivery. I'll explain each of these in turn in later posts, but you probably get the idea of what I'm talking about.

All of this has been facilitated by a national culture that has taken worship of the national myth of rugged individualism from our frontier days and translated into reverence for the autonomy of the automobile - an automobile that used to run on gas that was cheaper per gallon than a SEPTA token.

With gas prices accelerating at ludicrous speed, the former annoyance that used to be experienced when sitting in traffic to get from suburb to city or suburb to other suburb is now an all out economic hardship.

The big story of the next 8 years of the Nutter administration may not be any policy that the mayor himself crafts but how he can position the city to take advantage of the market forces that may finally reverse the unsustainable suburbanization trend that has been rotting out the core of the region while making the branches out in the suburbs too heavy to bear.

The revival of cities in the 1990s that saw population gains in many big cities and is often pointed to as Philadelphia's last great missed opportunity, was more about folks with a choice choosing the art, culture and trendiness of urban living. The next wave could be about nothing less than the survival - economically and environmentally - of this nation.

Only seems appropriate for the birthplace of the nation to play a role in saving it.

For all my English speaking friends - specially the anglers from Florida - I'm going to publish an English version of my homemade recipe of the menu yesterday.

Trout dumplings

750 ml milk
20g butter
1 teaspoon salt, pinch of pepper, pinch of nutmeg
300 g smoked trout filet
250g semolina (durum wheat semolina)
2 eggs

Boil the milk with butter and spices, add semolina into the milk whilst constantly stirring until a loose dough is formed. Transfer into a dish and fold in the eggs and the shredded trout filet (check that for bones again while cutting); set it aside until it becomes cold.

Knead the cold dough with your hands and make little dumplings (mine were the size of golf balls), which you put into boiling salt-water to let them poach. When the dumplings begin to float to the top they are done.

Horseradish-dill-sauce

500 ml milk
30 g butter
30 g flour
1 egg
Lemon juice
Salt, pepper
2-3 spoonfuls of creamed horseradish
2 bunches of fresh dill

Whilst bringing the milk to boil, rub the flour and butter together, once this has been done pour over the hot milk stirring constantly. Add the egg with a little water to thicken the sauce, season to taste with a little lemon juice, salt and pepper. Finally stir in the creamed horseradish and the chopped dill. Serve the hot sauce to the fresh cooked trout dumplings.

Many thanks to Sharon from VARIO Helicopter UK. She was very helpful with the special terms for recipes.

I had the Today Show on while getting dressed yesterday morning and they were interviewing Maureen M

I had the Today Show on while getting dressed yesterday morning and they were interviewing Maureen McCormick, a.k.a. Marsha Brady from the Brady Bunch. Since Marsha was one of the pioneers in teaching me to salivate as a youth, along with Laurie Partridge, Mary Ellen Walton, Ginger Grant and Marilyn Munster, I felt obligated to see what she had to say.

Suprisingly, she didn't hold it together as expected. Still cute, but not a small gal. Thank God she never accepted my fan mail invitation to get married when I was 11. Turns out, she is like most of us, a little off the playing weight from our teen years. I can't help but think that Eve Plumb (Jan) was enjoying this more than most Today Show viewers.

What stunned me more was that the clips from her new reality show "Going Country" on CMT, show her smoking. The shock. Sure, I remember Greg Brady trying it and then Jan telling on him, but he made up for that mistake an episode later when he was photographing his cheerleader girlfriend, he accidentally took a picture capturing the football team's wide receiver with his foot in bounds on a key play. Of course, by the time he had his pics developed at the PhotoMat a week later, there was no chance to overturn the bad call by the ref.

Anyway, how could sweet Marsha, the A student, the most popular girl, turn out to be such a bad girl? Plus I thought smoking helped girls lose weight. Marsha must have forgot that she is an influence to girls 37-52 everywhere. Those girls might be so mad they will throw a football into her face, making her nose swell up before the big dance.

This wasn't her first blunder. When her mom Carol, married architect Mike Brady, all the lovely ladies with hair of gold took on the Brady name. Marsha was 13 at the time. How could she dishonor her late father by dropping his last name at such a late age? New Daddy wouldn't have minded. Turns out he was more in love with Sam the Butcher any way.

No wonder Jan hid her trophies! While Marsha was a groundbreaker, proving girls could drive as well as boys when challenged by Greg, she needs to remember that her smoking could influence Bobby. He already had stunted growth, which he fixed by hanging on the monkee bars. If he lights up, it may undo all that stretching work. Cindy too is easily convinced to do the wrong things, evidenced by her shoplifting habits she picked up from her doll Kitty Carryall.

I guess Marsha is grown up now and she can do as she pleases. Since Bobby is risking his life racing cars and Peter is always in danger with his career of constructing miniature volcanoes for Science projects, I guess her habits are on par with other Brady's. As the song goes, "When its time to change you've got to re-arrange. Sha na na na na na na na na, sha na na na na"
