It might be not surprising to see celebrity related gossip/blogs reach a top spot or viewership over sites like Sugar.com or Yahoo! Shine or sites focused on celebrity/fashion etc., but on some other online communities and forums if a celebrity news bubbles to the top, it may annoy or dismay some users.

I wondered why so? Are we really too obsessed with celebrity news?

Last year Britney was suppose to make her big comeback at the VMA's, but ended up having a complete meltdown in sequined black.  But her big triumphant moment arrived last night as the pop star brought home three Moonman awards for best pop video, best female video and video of the year, for the song Piece of Me.

American Idol's Simon Cowell  tells PageSix.com, "Everyone thinks it's breakdown this and breakdown that. From the kind of stunts she's pulling now, I think she is the puppet master and completely in control.
"I really felt for her at one point, I thought she was heading for a meltdown and everything was out of control, but, especially over the past week, I thought she was honestly in control and, more to the point, wants to be in control.
"If you don't want to get any press attention, just keep your head down, don't drive yourself anywhere and sit in the back of blacked-out limousine. But if she thinks she knows what she is doing, then good luck to her."

Even as the media, celebrities and the public continue to debate over what's really happening, we're maintaining our position; regardless of whether we see the whole staircase, we will continue to offer support and positivity in a time where nothing less will do.

But...I wonder if most people would share this sentiment if Simon's suspicions were true?

1. For those who want to read others comments without having to deal with a painfully long scrolling page, we're segmenting things a bit. Rather than posting all comments on the POST YOURS HERE page, there will be a page for positive messages, creative writing, prayers, and misc. Britney messages. (We've had quite the cross section.)
2. The current state of the media (and Britney Spears) has struck a chord for many. Although its an issue that evokes strong emotions for some, we're doing everything we can to keep this site basking in positivity. Please don't be offended if we edited your comment. We are very serious about the rules.
3. Speaking of the rules, we've updated them. Please read before posting.
4. We're also going to begin selecting comments for the forthcoming "featured" page. This is not a contest. The point is to give people an idea of what others are saying, to feature a cross section/variety of comments (and commenters.)
5. Some have asked to know more about the movement as it relates to the Media. We're working on developing a page to give more context to this topic. Stay tuned for more news!

We're going to do it here, and we're going to do it until we hear something resembling a shred of hope for Britney's full recovery. And we're going to do it until we hear about it... from the press.

First, what PFB is NOT about.

Religion. Please don't get hung up on this point. It's the sentiment we're going for, here.

Politics. I'm sure if any of us wanted to affect change in this area, we would do so somewhere other than prayersforbritney.com, right?

Bashing...anything. This is an all inclusive statement extending to any and everything imaginable. Government, media, the general public or any individual. Negativity will not be tolerated. Preemptive disclaimer: Celebrity gossip publications, do your thing. I even read you occasionally, and hope you'll send over some traffic :)

Britney Spears. Well, kindof. It's obviously about her, but its purpose isn't driven by her persay, nor by being a fan or hater of her. She's just a person who's famous, who's struggling, and who could use some nice words.

What PFB IS about.

Helping out. Again, her mom has literally begged the general public for this. What if it was your mom?

Being a forum. If the public as a whole, in its entirety, truly despises Britney Spears and would love nothing more than to bash her ruthlessly at ever opportunity, then there wont be many comments posted here. But I doubt thats the case. So in that way, its a bit of a social media experiment; one thats meant to provide a forum for the voice of pop culture not as dictated by the press.

Satisfaction, whatever that means to you. Perhaps it's the personal satisfaction that comes from giving without expectation. Maybe it feels good to reclaim the voice of pop-culture. I for one am in the internet business, and I'm sure at some point I'll find a way to leverage this concept. But truly, that's an added benefit, and very very secondary.

Angeblich soll sie in einem "bedenklichen" Zustand gewesen sein und sehr verwirrt gewirkt haben, Medienberichten zufolge stand sie unter dem Einfluss von Drogen, Alkohol oder einer anderen, "unbekannten Substanz"...

Dieser "älter Mann" könnte dabei sogar derbe rechtliche Probleme bekomen wenn bekannt würde dass er mit der erst 16-jährigen Sex hatte. Ob das vielleicht auch der Grund dafür ist, dass Jamie Lynn's Familie angeblich sogar Casey Aldrigde bestochen haben soll damit er den Vater spielt...?

Anstatt nun jedoch einfach zu gehen und so zu tun als hätte sie vergessen zu bezahlen oder was auch immer, soll sie aber das Feuerzeug angeblich noch direkt in Richtung Überwachungskamera gehalten und mit ihrem "Coup" geprahlt haben, so nach dem Motto "Ich habe etwas gestohlen. Ich bin wirklich schlecht. Oh, oh!"

Was Britney mit dieser Aktion auch immer bezweckt haben mag, in dem Sorgerechtsstreit um ihre Kinder ist so ein Verhalten sicher nicht von Vorteil, gerade wenn man bedenkt dass Kevin Federline ja selbst aus dem kleinsten Fauxpas ihrerseits seinen Vorteil zu ziehen versucht...
