The Create a Soul feature of Soul Calibur IV is pretty fully featured this time around. They've added a lot of detail to it in order to make clothes fit better, have more colored parts, and overall good revamp of the color tinting system so things don't go completely out of whack when tweaking colors. Several people on NeoGAF have already made some great recreations. I've posted my own recreations here, as well as a few of my favorites that I've seen on GAF, with minor modifications. Note that all details are color calibrated as accurately as possible, and with Japanese voices instead of English.

First up is of course my recreation of Miku Hatsune!

It's unfortunate that Miku's hair couldn't be represented better. This is the closest you can get with that length of hair in pigtails. They do have a non-braided pigtails, but it's quite short. They do have a necktie accessory as well, but unfortunately, it's too small for it to look aesthetically pleasing, so these cute pom-pom balls were used instead. I'm waiting to see if I can unlock a longer vest to make it a nice gray one. Right now, the black seems to come together better. Playing as her though, you really do get a nice feel that she captures the essence of Miku.

Up next, we have Flame Haze Shana:

She was rather fun to create. I apologize for the terrible color in the photograph. The school uniform is actually only available to people that bought the Limited Edition version of SC4. Mitsurugi's sword just seemed to fit perfectly in capturing what Shana is about.

Now, into the video game genre, we've got Kasumi from Dead or Alive:

Creating Kasumi was actually not too bad. I tried to create her P2 costume, since there weren't any pieces that had the poofy shoulder sleeves. But unfortunately, the tintable parts did not include the vest borders. That border could only be black. They have another sleeveless kimono vest, but the flaps are too short. At least the breast size is adjustable.

This person who swings a sword obviously needs to be in the game - Auron from FFX:

I think I did a fairly good job with this one. The shoulder piece is actually part of the recently released downloadable content costume pack. The only gripe I have about this one is Auron's pants are supposed to be black. Unfortunately, the costume's tint changes both the pants and the flap. Obviously, Tidus, Cloud, Ashe, Vaan, Penelo and other FF cast are on my to recreate list.

When I saw that there was a beret in the game, I just had to make Cammy:

The braided pigtails for her hair are different than the ones used for Miku, as the Miku ones actually have tied up buns, these ones hang down, just like Cammy's, though not as long. The body suit isn't quite right, as Cammy's should be sleeveless, and as I recall, backless. Hopefully there is a better body suit to unlock. If there isn't, then I'll have to revise Cammy to her version 2 counterpart:

a full body suit, with a yellow necktie, and a different beret, which btw, is available.

While we're on Street Fighter, I decided to create Sakura Kasugano as well:

I'm actually suprised how well she turned out. She's accurate down to the red underwear! I do need to change the socks though. They're too long. The other option for socks right now are ninja ones. Hopefully I'll unlock better short socks. If you're playing in Japanese voices, the voice I chose is fairly good too, mimicking Sakura's battle cries. And with Talim's gear, she can even to a Shououken!!

Obviously, Dan Hibiki, Ryu, Ken, and Karin Kanzuki are on my list of recreations now.

Up next, I decided to recreate Nakoruru from Samurai Showdown/Spirits:

Creating Nakoruru was quite frustrating. The Spy Robe that I used for Kasumi would have worked well, but it apparently cannot be used in conjunction with the pants. While the male costume parts has pants that have a long flap on it, the female costume parts don't AFAIK, since I haven't unlocked everything. I don't have much to say on this one... other than it sucks. Maybe I'll be able to update her later with better costume parts.

Moving along the SNK path, I made Yuki from The Last Blade!

Using the same Spy Robe for Kasumi, I was able to get pretty close in terms of design, but I think the reference I had originally used was off in terms of color, so I'll need to go back on it. Of course, the borders can't be changed, so they had to remain black. While she's a simple character, it seems that the simple characters are the easiest to recreate anyway. Yuki isn't very well known, so I expect a lot of people online will just think she's a terribly made CaS. There's definitely more room to play with, so I'll be making more Last Blade characters for sure!

Here's my Bruce Lee:

With Maxi's moveset, it's a no-brainer. I'm certain that a lot of people have Bruce Lee in their CaS line-up too. Tried my best to match a good voice to him. Again, Japanese. This brings to mind Kill Bill's The Bride tribute to Bruce Lee... boy I'm lovin' CaS.

Cassandra's joke weapon makes for a perfect recreation of another famous character - Little Red Riding Hood:

Getting impaled by a rolling pin, and then knocked in the back of the head with a hand basket? Priceless! Interestingly, this time around, there are more "animal heads" to choose from, one of which includes a wolf head. Anyone up for making a Wolf?

Of course, what brought Little Red Riding Hood to mind was my original idea - Alice in Wonderland:

This isn't quite accurate at the moment. The colors are a little too dark compared to the Disney Alice. I'll probably go back on it and re-tint it.

Since we're on the subject of non-video game/anime characters, here's someone that I'm sure you'll recognize:

People on the NeoGAF forums have been asking me how this is done as it seems impossible for them to recreate. (The secret is that this Ronald is female.) The costume for the stripes is only available for the female cast. That's okay, since making Ronald super scrawny, and female added to the creepiness. The fact that he uses Voldo's moveset is barrels of fun. Voice setting is again Japanese. Suitable too!

Of course, it wouldn't be complete without Hamburglar!

I'm quite disappointed with the cape. There are only two colors to change for it, the black, and the emblem. While most of the other capes have a tintable lining, this one does not for some odd reason. Unfortunately, it's the only cape I have that is long enough. Revisions are definitely needed.

In Soul Calibur 3, they also had a CaS mode, and one of the character I created at the time was Plain Jane. Here's her SC4 iteration:

She's definitely plain, that's for sure. Sometimes, it's nice to have a simple character like that.

I really like Sigfried. He's fairly well balanced in terms of the slower, more powerful characters. But sometimes, I can't stand his voice (btw, he is also the same voice actor for Link). So here's my first iteration of a female knight. Nothing super elaborate, but she has a nice simple grace to her.

Για τους φίλους μου τους γιαπωνέζους όμως δεν ήταν αρκετό να επιστρέψουν στο πήλινο γουρουνάκι, έπρεπε να επανεφεύρουν το όλο concept του κουμπαρά. Ορίστε λοιπόν το νέο δημιούργημα, που δεν είναι απλά ηλεκτρονικός κουμπαράς αλλά κάνει την αποταμίευση παιχνίδι. Κυριολεκτικά. Δύο μοντέλα, ένα για κυρίους και ένα για κυρίες απευθύνονται στην παιχνιδιάρικη διάθεσή μας και το χιούμορ για να μας κάνει να μαζεύουμε τα λεφτά μας.

Στο αντρικό προϊόν της Takara Tomy, ρίχνεις λεφτά και εξοπλίζεις τον ήρωα που εμφανίζεται στην οθόνη του κουμπαρά και τον βοηθάς να σκοτώσει έναν δράκο. Στο γυναικείο μοντέλο της Bandai επιλέγεις ανάμεσα από 5 τύπους αντρών τον τύπο που σου αρέσει και μαζί του ζεις μια ερωτική ιστορία. Φυσικά και εδώ όσο πιο πολλά λεφτά ρίχνεις τόσο πιο κοντά στο ευτυχισμένο τέλος φτάνεις. Παρανοϊκό? Καθόλου! Αυτά που βλέπεις είναι η δεύτερη και πιο εξελιγμένη γενιά κουμπαράδων-παιχνιδιών που στην Ιαπωνία τουλάχιστον πουλάνε τρελλά. Και πιστεψέ με, δεν απευθύνονται μόνο σε πιτσιρικάδες.

Doch nun zum Genjintch, hierbei handelt es sich um eines der Gen1 Tamagotchis von 1997. Bei diesem Tamagotchi zieht man Charaktere aus der Urzeit hoch. Zuerst hat man so eine Art Haufen oder Zelle, dieser Entwickelt sich dann zu einem Höhlenmenschen oder sogar zu einen Mammut ^__^ es hat nebenbei noch echt ungewöhnliche Sounds für ein Tamagotchi und auch die anderen Charaktere sind sehr niedlich und lustig gemacht. Desweiteren ist es echt pflegeleicht, das Besondere: Wenn man es mal schlecht behandelt entwickelt es sich wieder zurück und stirbt nicht gleich.

La ultima son estas imagenes que aparecen en la web de Tamashii en la que descubrimosuna extraña tunica de lleva Kanon, pero que es la de Julian Solo en lo que podria ser la versión premium del personaje de Poseidón, ademas vemos tambien el anfora donde el alma de Poseidon es encerrada.

Como siempre el tiempo nos dara la respuesta. Por cierto importante la tercera foto ya que el trono es el de Atenea (posibles complemetos para Atenea Premium ¿¿??)

Jag vet inte en om jag kommer att uppsatta denna manga, hur det en visar sig vara så är den en manga som jag definitivt kommer att inhandla så fort den blir licensierad och utgiven på engelska. Jag är riktigt galen i denna serie, animen var något så fantastiskt att det är ett måste att se och äga allt som faktiskt görs som fortsättning till animen. Jag hoppas innerligt att det blir något riktigt bra. Det är mycket nu :-)

Btw, matanya udah diganti sama LED dan powernya pake kabel USB, jadi ngga usah pake batere lagi cuman jadi ada kabelnya kayak EVA xD. Trus thruster dari backpacknya juga ditambah dari pesawat F-15E 1/72 yang ud jadi sejarah orz.

If you check out the Playstation Network update today, fighting fans might be happy to see the first DLC for Soul Calibur IV pop up in two different flavors. The first add on, dubbed "Customization Equipment 1", contains particular character equipment from past Soul Calibur games to customize your characters with; however, it's hard to tell exactly how much content there is without purchasing the $1.49 add on yourself. Next up is some downloadable tracks from the original Soul Calibur title that made its debut on the Sega Dreamcast: each of the 17 tracks are available for $0.99 each, or $14.99 for the whole bundle.

Since Soul Calibur IV was only released this past Tuesday, it's nice to see some online support already. However, if you aren't waxing nostalgia from the previous games, it's hard to recommend purchasing this installment of DLC... and if you ask me, a buck fifty is still fifty cents too much just for cosmetic changes to custom characters. And if the rumors of bringing the PS3 exclusive Darth Vader and 360-centric Yoda to DLC are true, let's hope that the cost won't break the bank.

Jag längtar tills den första tryckta upplagan kommer, då ska jag snabbt som attan kasta mig till betalning : ) Jag har inte sett animen, något som jag kanske är ensam med, fast, jag har planer på att köpa den då den kommer ut på samlingsbox, och jag väntar nog tills dess, istället för att se den på mindre uppskattade vis :-)

Starting things off is Gurren Lagann 02. There doesn't seem to be a special edition counterpart as of yet, however. Like 01, the only DVD extras are the textless opening and ending animations. Also like 01, no English dub, just good-ol' Japanese 2.0 audio and (optional!) English subtitles.

Next up is a plethora of Code Geass. Code Geass Part 1 contains the first two discs and has both English and Japanese audio, and of course English subtitles. According to the catalog it also comes with all of the DVD extras of the first two volumes (see below).

In counter to Part 1 is the Part 1 Limited Edition, with all of the goodness of Part 1, plus the first OST, the first Sound Drama, and the first volume of the manga, all packaged neatly inside a collector's artbox.

If you'd rather pay a little extra and buy your discs separately, then Volume 1 (DVD extras include a picture drama episode, audio commentary, the textless opening, the first collectors booklet, and the first CLAMP character sketch booklet) and Volume 2 (DVD extras include a picture drama episode, audio commentary, the textless ending, and second and third collector's booklets) are for you.

Now regardless of whether or not you enjoy DVD bundles or separate discs, you'll have to save up a bit of money. Gurren Lagann 02 is at an MSRP of $30, Code Geass Part 1 at $40, the Part 1 Limited Edition at a whopping $75, and the separate volumes at $25 each (of course, these prices are rounded up from either 98 or 99 cents). And remember, if you like your dubs and want to see Gurren Lagann in English, tune into the Sci-Fi channel at 11pm tomorrow night.

Heute ist Donnerstag ( 24.07.08 ) und das Kuragetchi ist leider nur ein tuck weniger pflege bedürftig als sein Vorgänger, alle 10 Mintuen wird ein Herzchen leer und zu allem Überfluss kommt manchmal ein Eisbär und will den Kleinen fressen.  Ich bin mal gespannd in welchen Charakter sich als nächstes verwandelt (^-^) Auch ist das mit den Schlafenzeiten ganz niedlich, da das Oceangotchi wie der Name schon sagt im Ozean lebt, geht es abends schon schlafen wenn es noch hell ist. Also muss man das Licht ausschalten und morgens etwa so gegen 6 Uhr geht das Licht wieder an bzw. wird es hell obwohl das Ocean noch schläft... bin mal gespannt was da noch auf mich zu kommt wenn es älter wird. Ob sich dann nochmal was ändert an den Lichtverhältnissen? Hier gleich neben dem Text könnt ihr mich mit meinem kleinen neuen Oceangotchi sehen, etwas müde aber ok (o_o)°

*grrrrr* leider ist es Freitag ( 25.7.08 ) Mittag ohne Grund gestorben >.< naja ich werde es noch mal versuchen... wenn ich mehr Zeit dafür habe..

Bandai's HCM Pro line will be releasing two Gundam 00 unit this September: 00 Gundam and Cherudim Gundam. The designs for all four mobile suits are blockier or pointier but what I noticed is that the mecha designers appear to be obsessed with pairs, particularly with these units. The 00 Gundam no longer has the seven sword system. Instead, it now has two GN blades of the same size that can turn into beam rifles, two beam sabers and of course, its two GN drives mounted on its shoulders. The flexibility appears to be even more improved now. The range of the joints are greater now and the opportunity for making dynamic poses with the 00 Gundam appear to rival those of Revoltech.

The other Gundam to be released this September is the Cherudim Gundam. When the previous design had panels, shields and a large rifle, this one has a smaller rifle that can be converted to a shorter beam rifle (which is probably for assault and rapid fire). And as if by some twist of fate, someone from SEED Stargazer managed to get past security and put in two beam handguns on the Cherudim Gundam. I'm not liking the Strike Noir pose. Couldn't they make a more unique style? One of the nice things about Gundam 00 was that it was in a different league compared to SEED. I did watch SEED, SEED Destiny and even Stargazer. I liked Stargazer but I couldn't stand the mecha cheese that oozed from SEED and SEED Destiny. But then the season has not yet started. Perhaps this Cherudim Gundam will be popular just as Lockon made the previous unit popular.
