Pernah liat web bahasa Indonesa ada adsensenya (Bukan iklan layanan masyarakat by google lho) ? Saya pernah coba pasang adsense di blog bahasa Indonesia, yang nongol malah iklan layanan masyarakat by google, duh... Trus saya coba sisip2i pake bahasa inggris, tetep aja gak berubah T_T. Akhirnya di suatu malam nan sunyi (wew!!), saya bertemu pakde Sumintar, dan dikasih tau juga rahasia pupuk "EN" (hehe... thx pakde)

Google_language ="en" itu adalah cara curang (agak) untuk memunculkan iklan adsense di web berbahasa indonesia. Kalo langsung pasang gitu aja, biasanya yang kelaur malah iklan layanan masyarakat (kalo diklik gak keluar apa2, malah mengganggu pandangan), karena google adsense belum mendukung untuk web berbahasa Indonesia (maklum lah, Indonesia gitu). Kecurangan ini mungkin bermula dari keterbatasan masyarakat Indonesia dalam berbahasa Inggris (maaf jika anda tersinggung), tapi pingin adsensenya panen terus, jadi ketemulah pupuk EN.

Trus, gimana caranya? Caranya dapatkan kode iklan dari akun adsensemu. Trus tambahkan tulisan google_language = "en"; di tengah2 kode. Contohnya seperti ini :

Setelah ditambahkan, copy kode yang sudah dirubah itu ke web ato blogmu. Tunggu kira-kira 10 menit, dan iklan akan nongol di webmu. Jika sudah pake pupuk "EN" tetep aja gak nongol, mungkin gak ada iklan yang cocok dengan tema blog anda.

Apa ini bisa mengakibatkan ID adsense diblokir? Yang jelas banyak adsenser Indonesia pake. Katanya sih melanggar TOS tapi gak berat2 amat. Yang berat tuh seperti martil mengeklik iklan sendiri.

Few days back, Google announced 'Google Adsense for Games'.  As per the details released by Google, the revenue generated by the ads will be split between Google and the game company hosting it. This announcement now enables Google to spread its immense advertising influence in to the gaming periphery.

As Google is spreading its reins towards online gaming, its arch rival Microsoft (through its wholly owned subsidiary Massive) will continue to be the exclusive in-game ad network for PC & Xbox 360 platforms of the world's largest racing franchise.

A research conducted by Massive inc. estimated that in-game advertising will reach $1.8 billions by 2010. As per DecisionNote report in-game advertising is estimated to reach $732 million by 2010. As we can see there is a startling difference between these figures. But one thing is sure, In-game advertising is here to stay & grow!

As demand for video games continues to grow, Advertisers see in-game advertising as a prime way to target the male 18-34 demographic, who are increasingly neglecting television in favor of computer and video games. Several advertisers are making strategic use of this medium & investing resources into in-game advertising.

Richard Dance, Group Account Director at MindShare Interaction UK, said: “The growing channel of in-game advertising provides an exciting and creative medium in which to work. Although we are only scratching the surface with regards to the opportunities it provides, more and more of our clients are keen to include in-game advertising as a part of their multichannel strategy.”

Other developments:

• Last year Microsoft acquired Masive Inc. for $200 million.
• In June 2008, IGA signed a deal with EA,  to provide all their plugging for the Play station 3. (means the 13 million PS3 owners will now be bombarded with in-game advertising.)
• In March 2008, EA and Massive Inc. announced an expansion and two-year extension of their agreement to offer dynamic in-game advertising for EA video games.

The advertisers are charged on a cost-per-impression or cost-per-click basis with revenue being split between Google and game developers or publishers, it said in a statement.

Google is working with game makers including Konami Corp and Demand Media, run by former MySpace Chairman Richard Rosenblatt, as well as advertisers like Sprint Nextel Corp and Sony Corp's Sony Pictures.

Data by comScore indicates that over a quarter of Internet users, or about 200 million people, play games online with their ranks growing by 17 percent annually.

On October 10th 2008, Youtube introduced full-length network television shows interpsersed with advertising, right on the heels of pleasing music companies on October 7th by integrating retailers like Amazon and iTunes with click-to-buy buttons.

According to New York Times, Youtube made a deal with CBS (go CBS!) to introduce “Dexter,” “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Star Trek” although I couldn't find Dexter on CBS's full episode playlists and I found Mac Gyver.

If you're used to watching full episodes of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Colbert Report, South Park, Prison Break, The Office, Grey's Anatomy then you know how this works.

The video ads you see on television roll before, in-between, and after the TV show. You can't scroll out the ads; clicking on the video during the ad takes you to the sponsor's website. Youtube added a Theater View feature that enlarges the video and darkens the rest of the screen. You can still go full screen unlike some network TV web sites.

So, what could the implications of Youtube adding TV shows with ads be?

1. More entertainment at office.
2. Youtube becomes a stronger competitor to Netflix. (Netflix made a deal with CBS to stream modern shows like Numb3rs and CSI last month link)
3. Networks could cast niche shows on Youtube that didn't make economical sense before.
4. Media planning becomes more dynamic; at least in a small pie of broadcast there's more precise viewer statistics now.
5. To be a better creative brand manager, communication strategist, media planner, copy writer, art director, and adfilm director we'd have to be "in the online state of mind". Expect more actionable spots.
6. Your webmaster and your video commercial people must be bffs (for the uninitiated, that's best friends forever). If someone clicks through the youtube ad to your Web site, they better get the impression that you were expecting them and know where they came from and make them feel comfortable. A link to www.domainname.com won't be enough.
7. On the other hand, many brand messages don't require that you click to go to a Web site. I see many ads I would like to go back to, it is not important to me when I see it, but some other time I think, "Hey I saw an ad for this thing that I'm considering to buy, damn, I don't quite remember when they said the sale ends; wish I knew." Here there's an opportunity for a bookmarking company. Delicious, Reddit, Digg and the ilk should start thinking about helping us out here. Imagine Youtube integrates your favourite bookmarking tool so while you are watching a commercial that is semi-interesting you hit any key on your keyboard and the ad or link is saved without disturbing you. Youtube would please advertisers even more.
8. Projecting the future on the basis of Google's intent with its deal with NBC to sell ads on NBC's behalf for NBC's cable channels like MSNBC, Oxygen and the Sci Fi network, you can see that Google will become a stronger player in the video ad sales business. While I don't think I understand the intricacies enough to suggest that this threatens network companies, I think it's a good news for producers. If you are a small, independent yet professional producer who believes you can make good content but tired of pitching your shows to TV giants who ask you to "suit it for the masses" then try Youtube with ads. I once worked for a start-up production company in India started by a bunch of inspirational intellectuals capable of content a lot smarter than they were producing for national TV. I think it is imperative that Youtube enables independent producers to insert ads in their content just like Adsense to keep the You in Youtube relevant. I have no doubt Google is thinking about that (and I don't mean ads in each and every video).
9. Are you an ad salesman? Google will probably be hiring hundreds more soon.
10. While all that is awesome, the big issue for Google is how they maintain the internet without borders. Most of the comments to the Youtube blog post about the news bicker about the feature available only in the US. Sure, international media rights licensing can be very complicated that doesn't allow Youtube to open this out to the world. But netizens don't care about it, why should they, it is the INTERNET stupid.

This is just one of the scenarios Google is presenting to marketers as part of its expanded AdSense for Games beta test.

U.S. in-game advertising is currently at the $360 million mark, per Forrester. It was projected to hit $865 million by 2012.

Casual computer games are more natural place for advertisers than say Microsoft's Xbox 360 or Nintendo's Wii. They reach a wider audience and given that they are free, "most surveys say players are willing to accept some level of advertising," said Verna.

Casual games typically last about six minutes and "aren't as deeply immersive as traditional console games where you wouldn't want to interrupt them," said Verna. Plus "the audience is very addicted."

Ingin tahu apa yang sering dicari di Internet? Jika hanya ingin mengetahui perbandingan kata-kata yang sering dicari melalui google, kita bisa menggunakan Google Trends, Ingin mengetahui 10 kata kunci yang sering dicari di setiap negara, bisa digunakan Google Zeitgeist. Tetapi saat ini Google Zeitgeist tidak menyertakan negara Indonesia.

Sedangkan dengan Goolge Trends, kita hanya bisa melihat hasilnya dengan memasukkan kata kunci terlebih dahulu. Bagaimana jika kita ingin mencari kata-kata kunci yang sering dicari melalui google ? Mengingat google merupakan mesin pencari terbesar di dunia.

Pernahkah terpikir untuk mencari hal-hal berikut ?

• Mobil apa yang paling banyak di cari di negara A ?
• Apakah yang paling banyak dicari di Indonesia ?
• Di Kota C apa saja yang paling banyak dicari pengguna Internet?
• Bagaimana perbandingan pencarian kata X di negara A,B dan C ?

Saat ini kita bisa mengetahui hal-hal tersebut berdasarkan informasi dari google, dengan fasilitas terbarunya. Fasilitas baru Google adalah Google Insights for search. Dengan Fitur ini, kita bisa mengetahui kata atau pencarian apa saja yang populer dengan berbagai opsi, seperti Negara mana, kota/propinsi mana, untuk kategori tertentu saja dan lainnya.

Selain mengetahui kata-kata kunci (keyword) yang sering dicari di sebuah kota atau negara tertentu, dengan Google Insight kita juga bisa membandingkan pencariannya untuk beberapa negara atau kota. Hasilnya akan disajikan dalam bentuk grafik maupun map/peta dengan tampilan yang cukup manarik.

Dibandingkan dengan Google Trends dan Google Zeitgeist, maka fitur ini lebih menarik. Untuk mengetahui seberapa perbandingan prosentase yang tampil (agar angka muncul di grafik), maka harus login dulu ke account google. Tetapi nilai yang tampil tidak menunjukkan berapa kali banyaknya pencarian, tetapi merupakan perbandingan pencarian dalam persen (http://ebsoft.web.id )

Fourteen million is an impressive number, but that's not the full story. What's most interesting about Cavalcade was its distribution strategy. The shorts are distributed via Seth MacFarlane's sethcomedy.com, Seth MacFarlane's YouTube Channel, Burger King's (which sponsored the first ten episodes of the series) YouTube channel, as well as through the Google Content Network, which delivered the shorts as ad units to targeted web sites through Google AdSense.

What we don't know is the breakdown of plays across this distribution network. We can count up the number of plays publicly listed on the two YouTube channels (more than 13 million, if you're curious, but that includes plays after the first three weeks). Sethcomedy.com does not list playcounts, so we don't know how many videos were watched there.

But the real unknown is how many plays were generated through AdSense delivery. Do the views show up in the YouTube channel counts? How effective is it as a distribution mechanism? We pinged YouTube and Media Rights Capital for answers, and will update when we hear back.

Our last product update was a while ago, but that certainly doesn't mean we haven't been doing anything. Quite the contrary in fact, we're so busy we often forget to go home! Our last update went over our Business Amenities feature, which has been very well received by our customers. Since then we've been pretty quiet on the blog, but we've kept ourselves busy behind the scenes with a few changes to the front-end of the website that you may have noticed browsing around, and lots of changes to the back-end to support our increasing traffic.

First, the front end; we've updated our product information page to give businesses a better idea of what we do and what we're about. Along with that we've upgraded the process for adding your own business information. You'll see a call-to-action to add your business in the top right of the product page, or check it out here. You do have to be logged in to add your business so if you don't yet have an account at CitySquares.com now is a great time to get signed up. We were getting a lot of duplicate entries and we realized people needed an easy way to search for their business before they added it. So our new 'add business' form integrates a live search as you type - so if you're already on our site your listing will appear and you can just edit the existing information!

Along with the new add business process we have added a new eCommerce system so you can find and purchase your business listing all online! Currently your only option is to upgrade to a deluxe listing, but we're hoping to expand that to include other options in the future. I encourage you to sign up and see if your business is already listed for free and of course check out our awesome upgrade options!

You may also have noticed that our banner ads have changed slightly - you can see those throughout the site. We made the move to IAB standard size ads in early September along with our ad management system overhaul. We are now using Google AdManager to serve up all the ads you see across the site, which allows us to easily serve up Google AdSense in locations that we have unsold inventory or choose to display them. As of now we have set it up so our paying local advertisers will always trump AdSense in priority so we maintain our hyper-local focus. We have also worked in a pretty neat system where we're able to provide banner advertising site-wide all the way down to a specific neighborhood and anywhere in between. You could even exclusively buy select neighborhoods if you chose to target your ads.

Otherwise we've been pretty quiet on the front end, but we've got some big changes coming soon. I can't show you everything yet, but I can provide a couple sneak peeks.

Besides the usual bug fixes, that's pretty much everything on the front end. On the back end, we have moved our infrastructure onto Amazon Web Services EC2/S3 using RightScale to manage our instances. Justin is blogging our experience over at his blog. I'd recommend going there to get more details on what we've done, there's way too much information for just one post.

Outside of the infrastructure changes, we've been going through all of our database queries and optimizing as much as possible, tweaking and removing where necessary, and trying to get every bit of performance our of our current system as possible.

So we've been pretty busy as of late, with much more to come as we expand the site to new areas. Keep an eye out for changes and we'll do our best to keep you updated here.

La verdad es que no entendí el porque, la pagina es para todas las edades, no he utilizado ningún metodo black hat para posicionarla, el unico contenido son los pocos posts que envia la gente al foro...

Y me pregunto como se las apañaran los millones de spammers del mundo para usar adsense. Se supone que todos los sitios para ser admitidos en el programa tienen que pasar por los ojos de la gente de google, dudo mucho que se les escapen sitios sin ningun contenido, ultraoptimizados con blackhat, con enlaces de dudosa calidad...

Espero equivocarme pero... ¿no será que google se beneficia de este tipo de sitios? lo que le interesa a google para vender adwords, es que haya una masa ingente de trafico que vea sus anuncios, y estos spammers mueven trillones de visitas al dia. Me gustaría que algun SEO experimentado me diera su opinion sobre el tema.

Leo en Seofilia.com, una interesante nota sobre como afectará la crisis financiera de Estados Unidos a los blogs, en especial habla de Adsense.

Como el analisis es extenso, si bien parece un poco exagerado, creo que puede ser muy posible; decidí hacer un resumen, de lo que me pareció más importante.

¿Como reaccionará Adsense a la crisis?

Posiblemente, en el corto plazo no haga nada; pero si tomará acciones si las empresas grandes que confían en el sistema publicitario de Google deciden reducir las inversiones o cambiar a otros modos de marketing. También, si las acciones de Google descienden en la bolsa, pueden llegar a reducir las ganancias para el webmaster.

Google que esta haciendo un trabajo magnífico en el público hispanohablante, especialmente en Latino América; con la visión de fomentar que PyMEs publiciten por medio de este formato, creo que se verá un poco opacado con esta situación. Más cuando los precios de publicidad y pago se realiza en dolares americanos.

¿En que puede afectar esta crisis a un blog?

Principalmente en los recursos y servicios que utiliza. Si bien uno puede usar ’servicios gratuitos’, estos lo son para el usuario, pero al proveedor le generan un gasto. Hay dos alternativas: el proveedor comienza a cobrar una tarifa, o bien, reduce la calidad para sostener la gratuidad.

Es posible que con el cambio de precio de la energía (eléctrica) los grandes dattacenters norteamericanos, se verán en la necesidad de subir los costos. Así como si aumentan considerablemente los insumos: hardware, software, etc.

Aumento en el precio de las conexiones a internet, comunicación y ancho de banda: con la movilidad de los mercados, la mayoría de grandes empresas de internet y comunicaciones se verán en una incertidumbre que puede traducirse en redución de inversiones. Las consecuencias pueden ser: reducción de la calidad de servicio, saturación de algunas líneas, falta de crecimiento en el area.

También empresas generadoras de cambios tecnológicos (Intel, por ejemplo) seguramente atrasaran el lanzamiento de novedades, así esperar a un mercado más prospero.

Para mantener los precios, puede haber empresas que se limiten a ofrecer solamente lo contratado, por consiguiente, disminuirán la calidad; en especial las de hosting, saturando los servidores con más sitios, sin tener en cuenta el balance de carga y distribución adecuada de los mismos.

También aumentarían las licencias de software, en especial las de Microsoft, y los canon o derechos de autor por reproducir música; con lo que se estará indirectamente promoviendo a que la gente utilice mas las redes P2P y la piratería.

¿A quien afectará más?

Internet está muy interconectada, pero indudablemente si usas directa o indirectamente servicios que estén alojados en Estados Unidos será mas fuerte. Aunque los que están en otros países notarán algo, es posible que las empresas puedan sostenerlo.

A los dominios, quizás pueda verse un aumento en los precios de los nuevos, no así en las renovaciones. Supongo que a la espera de una estabilidad, se intentará crear poca desconfianza con los que ya usamos esos servicios.

Los accionistas Norteamericanos aún recuerdan el ‘viernes negro’, donde una corrida económica dejo a muchos accionistas en banca rota debido a la caída de las sobre-valuadas empresas de tecnología. Hoy, que aun está mas firme la unión entre la realidad, el papel y lo virtual-tecnológico, creo que serán más precavidos.

Pero desde mi punto de vista, la mayor parte afectará a los blogs grandes y medianos que tienen alojado sus blogs en sus propios hostings o en Blogspot, que es donde intentan sacar dinero, pero en un blog como este dudo que le afecte mucho solo me puede afectar por el coste de línea que no es nada del otro mundo, pero por si las moscas a ahorrar. un saludo lectores

Tout simplement parce qu'il s'agit d'un système qui permet de masquer les publicités pour les remplacer par ses propres images, comme on peut le voir sur la vidéo présentée.

Bon dans le cas présent le site n'existe pas, mais quand même. Il existe déjà un plugin pour Firefox et divers autres outils pour que les pubs adsense de s'affichent pas sur lessites visités. Mais quel intérêt ? Ces pubs seraient-elles trop envahissante ?

Quand bien même je ne vois pas l'intérêt d'un tel système. Certes on va défendre que c'est agréable d'être tranquille, qu'on a pas envie de voir de la pub en permanence, etc...

Mais qui serait prêt à payer un petit quelque chose pour chaque site, blog ou forum qu'il lit ou auquel il participe ? Qui serait prêt à payer pour afficher ses coordonnées perso (ça m'a toujours fait halluciner ça) sur Facebook ou autre réseau social ?

Tous ses services sont monétisés par la publicité, l'empêcher de s'afficher c'est tuer bon nombre de services gratuits aujourd'hui ou les rendre payant (ce qui reviendrait certainement aussi à les tuer par manque de membres/lecteurs/participants).

Alors si la publicité sur un site vous dérange, quittez le site tout simplement...
